No cellphones, just people hanging around... Miss thouse days ...
I bought Wisconsin Death Trip without knowing what Static X sounded like because they were thanked in the liner notes of other bands at the time. Man it was great! Instantly fell in love. This video brings me back to '99: sitting in the basement, playing PC games, cranking Push It, probably drinking Mt Dew, skateboard nearby, baggy jnco pants. haha
I still Rock the Jncos. Days never left, time just went on and changes evolved.
Those were and will always be... The days!
Still jamming in 2023.... Rip Wayne!!!
Every song of every show his voice is perfect. No mess ups at all. RIP brother. I didn't really get into this band until recently and I must say, they are much better than I thought that they were years ago when I wouldn't even give them a listening to.
Awesome band.
I've been a fan since their first record Wisconsin Death Trip which came out the same year they did this show. Not many people back then had heard of Static-X but I was rocking out to them.
@codimis LMFAO
I remember when they played 97.1 the eagle's concert in dfw... and got their record banned from the station cause Tony said "fuck you dallas" on live radio. >_
Omg...youre serious? Wut a joke
Porn
R.i.p Wayne. I found your music late but I'm so glad I did. The Regeneration album I think is some of the best art from Static X.
At least you found his music and art he was a great artist and musician I've listened to him since the late 90s great man that will always be missed
Yeah my dad got me into static pretty recently he used to go to their concerts and I’m so obsessed
Wisconsin Death Trip gets my vote
Wisconsin Death Trip yo'!!
Who would've thought that 20 years later there would be no Wayne nor any live concerts at all...
and no more WAAF
🤯😖💔
Right
It truly fucking sucks.
21*
R.I.P. Wayne Static. Static-X was one of the first bands who sparked my being a fan of rock and metal music. Never forgotten.
Same here I will never forget the first time I heard them, little did I know those moments would change my life forever.
I was there. First time I got to see them live. Evil disco 4 life 🤘🏻❤️🤘🏻
I was at this event, Only 9 year's old at that man it is still my favorite and fondest memory. R.I.P Wayne And Tera
They sound great here. The guitars are so crushing.
If all those people learned to dance reggaeton, they would be dancing instead of jumping.
One of my favorite frontmen of hard rock/metal. If I was building a band from scratch he'd probably be on my list of possible singers.
I was there like 60 ft, away smoking a bowl, saw static x 12 times live, had the pleasure of meeting all of them, like 8 times as well! This was right after ozzFEST 99
Shit, Wayne sounded as good live as in recording. Total legend. Rest in peace man.
They Sounded Soooo good live.
That's insane. His voice.
Wow. RIP Wayne.
Oh man I'm so happy to come across this. I was there - it was my first concert that I got to go to with just friends and Static-X and Slipknot were the two bands I was most looking forward to. Man this brings back memories!
No you weren’t.
El Paso Texas, Club Escape. I was one of the lucky 200 people who got to see Static X and I was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. I was in front with Tripp Iesen to my right and Wayne to my left. Kickass!
RIP dear Wayne. Thanks for be one of many who inspired me to love metal in all its forms!
@Koosha Las Vegas Ex Muslim maybe :/ who knows? ...
From 1999 until his death....that unique voice
As much as i feel wanna feel like a badass listening to Static X it always kills me to think that Wayne is gone. Thank you for the insane and powerful music you and your band have created and inspiring me to make music in general. We all love you Wayne. And of course Static X too 🤘🤘
Incredible!!!!
Around 2000 - 2002 I went to a Korn show and Static X was the opening band, I loved their music ever since, thank you Wayne for this legacy, wherever you are now :(
the sound system and the technichians made a good surround stage sound. this is professionalism.
the clarity of guitar tone.the monitor and house speakers is balance and best of all waynes voice and the back vocal has clear voice.
R.I.P. Wayne and Static X 😭 My biggest inspiration to play guitar
RIP to him and his wife. Wow. I'm sad now.
Ya and to all those mother fuckers that thought there love was toxic. After she killed herself it just shows the strong love connection they shared. I truly hope there together right now.
Even though it brakes my heart to watch the Assassins of youth video, it makes me laugh and cry but the drug use is reminder of why he is not here anymore...
Fuck me, I thought it was the wording, Tera actually killed herself... That's just gutting.
@@jasonkennedy4089 I don't think you know the meaning of the term 'toxic relationship' as that clearly describes both of them. Wayne got into drugs when he met her, not before. As sad as it is, they both wouldn't be dead had they not met each other. The essence of a toxic relationship right there.
I was 10 at this time and this is still an all out classic 20 years later
Hell yeah 1989 I was 10 a heard about them from my buddy’s older brother changed my life
I was at this show and brought my little brother who was 12 at the time. I really miss these festivals. Loco99 had an amazing lineup!
Slipknot
System of a Down
Static X
Staind
Primus
Machinehead
Days of the New
and remember, back in 1999, most of these bands were all just starting to break out big
such an underrated band, miss ya Wayne.
ahhhhh the smell of mids in the hot worcester sun while jamming to static x
Wayne was one of very few singers who can sing live better than the actual record
Chester Bennington was another one
Yeah that was freaking amazing. You usually have to lower your expectations live. Not with that guy obviously!
Wayne isnt dead. I listen to his music and see him on youtube almost every day
Truth
now he wears a mask like slipknot etc
He will live forever!
No, he really is dead.
@Aries Athen I understood what he meant, I was making a crude joke. One even the likes of Wayne Static might appreciate, though I didn't know him personally. No need for name calling now.
Saw Static-X in San Antonio, 2002. And they fuken rocked the house 🤘
Koichi must be one of the most relaxed musicians on stage ever, no back singing and most of Static-X songs are very easy to play on guitar. Yet, kickass guitar player!! \m/
I was here! So exciting to find this video a decade later.
RIGHT!!! I was at this show also. man, I really miss AAF and the shows they would put on!
wow, what a memory lane trip, i was AT this show, and my brother met him THAT day.
i met him at a later show with soulfly. this is an awesome memory to relive. cool.
I was at this show also. man, I really miss AAF.
The first time I ever heard this song I was stoned out of my mind. It was glorious
God damn what I would have done to see static x in their prime like this
I was there that day! Damnnn! That was a great lineup
No you weren’t.
I was ther man....RIP WAAF....RIP Wayne.

We need to act in Honor of what ALL OUR Musical Inspirations spoke to us. I speak in tone of Fight these injustices, being back brotherhood, humanity, equality, bring back our nation all out. ✊
Holy shit they sound so amazing😢❤
Sounds as good as the studio version what a great performance. Rest in peace Wayne.
I only got to see Static perform live once and it was fucking amazing. They opened for Ministry and I think I left around 3 or 4 songs into Ministry's set. Static should have been the headliner......
I was there!! Love old school Static X!!
“Come here, grandchildren. I have some bad ass music you should hear.” - me in 20 years.
I only listen to real music, Lil Wayne.
More like 🗑
the wild bros ha ha! Got em. First class insult! 🤣 ooh! That was good! 🤣
Tin Tizzy they can be both be badass. They aren’t even the same genre. Get to steppin.
Tin Tizzy Top 50 out of how many bands? That’s a pretty badass accomplishment even if it is 50th place.
Awwwww, Wayne and WAAF…. RIP to both of them….. ;-(
R.I.P. master Wayne Static!! Great Song!!!
I hopped the weak, tiny orange tape barrier with the boys to get in that year! Back when kids weren't so soft and lame. It was such a sick lineup of bands in my backyard. I grew up on Belmont St. I was 17 at the time. I remember being super heated when they moved it from Green Hill. Crazy how fast time flies! Don't blink!!!
They sound so great live.
one of the best concerts, I been to
what is love 😐😐
I was at this show also. man, I really miss AAF.
I've never met anyone that didn't like Static-X. And I've met a lot of people.
Hell yeah good shit RIP brotha

The year of Napster. Crazy. 20 years ago....

Love you Wayne!
Great live band. Saw them in the Family Values tour
It was fun being the 6'5" 250 lb teenager in the mosh pit back then.
Done my new friends +1

Still probably not close to the biggest person in the pit
Oh you mean the asshole in the pit 😂
VERY VERY SAD!! R.I.P. Your band was very origineel!!
Бля нет слов лучше чем на студийной записи

Okay boomer
R.I.P. WAAF and Wayne
POWER!
Your editorial work is great the synchronization of the mp3 audio and live video is perfectly on time.
I still miss the them
Man, that is the 90s-est hair I've ever seen.
Then you didn't pay much attention during the 90s.
@@MrE1981 no u
good times
thanks
Epic!
Wayne’s vocals are flawless
so fucking incredible
These were much, much better times; before the internet ruined humanity.
@Terror Shark Oh yeah, right. The dude that was in office for a mere 4 years is to blame for all of this division and blind hatred, not the *politicians* that have held office for SEVERAL decades.
You are young, you are stupid; human history didn't begin when you were born.
Amazing
I was there it was so awesome
I can't believe this was almost 20 yrs ago
RIP WAYNE, RIP WAAF, got my project regen CD in the mail yesterday though =p
A lot of the drums recorded on static x’s first album was with a Roland drum machine. They need it to play in shows because it’s part of the actual song and would sound weird w/o it live.
