Pantera fans should be grateful for the resurrection of the band. Who better than Zakk Wylde to honor Dimebag's legacy? No one is trying to replace Dimebag,there is only one Dimebag and will ever be.
The way I've always looked at it, if Dime was still with us, and something came up that forced him to miss a tour/show(s) he would ask Zakk to fill in for him.
A band never revives by adding new members. The guy with the guitar plays really badly and didn't even bother to tune his guitar so it would sound more or less decent. They sound like a group of fifteen-year-olds doing a cover. Second, what Phil Anselmo says with this is pure hatred towards Darrell. When Pantera broke up it was because he was jealous of Darrell. Now that he's gone he thinks he owns everything.
After all these years, you still aren't. Phil doesn't even sound like Phil anymore, Rex is buried in the mix and the other half of the band is dead and gone. Priest is touring too but they aren't Priest without KK and Glen.

Jesus. I can't help but get a little emotional watching this. Me and my drummer hung out with Dime and Vinny (Damage Plan of course) at the huge local club that we absolutely ruled, a week before he was killed. He will always be my hero, and he was the nicest guy on the planet.
Dime is a fucking legend and big inspiration for my playing. Tragically gone waaay too soon 😔🤘🏻. Soo good to see them honoring Dime and Vinny and Kicking Ass!
It's so relieving watching Phil after a long time to give such soulfoul and flawless performance. Rest in power Dime and Vinnie.

For real, people are hating but he sounds more focused and on point since 95'. I love his work, but he was messy from TGST until the disbanding in 03'.
for me the real treat here is Charlie Benante. At 60 years old when most men at that age has already lost their motor energy considerably, Charlie can still do those blast beats like he was 20 years old! Kudos to this man!

He's gotten a lot better at playing these songs. Everything feels way more lived in. And Zakks tone is a lot closer to Dimes than when they first started doing this.... sounds and feels like Pantera now.
The snare hits are wrong on A New Level, he’s rushing the shit out of it. That’s his style, works well for Anthrax, not for Groove metal sadly. Wanna tell him…chill out Charlie, get the groove on.

Glad to see the legacy of Pantera continues. I was fortunate enough to see Pantera with Vinnie and Dimebag in Sydney back in 2001. I believe Machine Head was the supporting band.
Rex got me crying in the end there. I got into Pantera around 2004/2005 from a CFH CD laying around in my brothers room. I fell in love with their music and starting collecting all their albums but didn't actually know that Dimebag had passed until I had seen a Pantera documentary on TV thinking "oh sick, I get to see a show about my favorite band!" until they got to the talking about the tragic day. That was the first time I had ever cried as a middle schooler from hearing sad news, it absolutely wrecked me. Right around that time I learned how to play drums and learned every single Pantera song note for note over the next few years. Vinnie taught me so much about the perfect blend of feel, groove, and power in metal and I'm forever grateful for what Pantera taught me as a young lad looking to get some aggression out in a healthy and creative way. Shred in peace to the brothers that shaped heavy metal for the rest of time.
Dude i agree with you, 90s or 80s bands coming back but i wish there were new good bands to carry the torch... I mean there are a lot of great bands but not as impactful

I had the great pleasure to see these guys in Virginia last year along with Lamb of God and King Parrot. One of the best most glorious moments of my life. Amazing show, amazing band. Pantera forever. Mucho amor.
I'm listening to this on Shure 215 earphones with really low bass. Holy shit - Zakk's rhythm tone is destructive. It's not Darrell, but it gets the job done. And Phil's voice sounds amazing.
I just saw them tonight at sonic temple. This was literally a dream come true for me because I’m what Phil would consider a “youngster” and I didn’t have the opportunity to see pantera with dime. I’m 27 and have spent way more than half of those enjoying this music. No better person to have fill in for dime than zakk. The performance was unbelievable and whoever does the sound in front house needs a raise because it sounded like a studio mix. The pro shot is amazing, don’t get me wrong, but seeing that live was A NEW LEVEL. Still in shock.

The opening tribute video followed by the brothers' silhouettes brought tears to my eyes. A great look back at the boys. Phil sounds fucking great, and looks like that one cool uncle that lives barefoot in board shorts, which I love for him 😂 I gotta say tho, just knowing the guitar and drums aren't being played by Dime and Vince, hearing these songs played live without them does make me deeply sad. It's just another reminder that Pantera is gone, so it's such a somber thing to see the tribute. But it's good to see them having fun honoring the legacy 🤘

@@ernestofb591 si, pero por lo que he visto en esta gira solo lo hacen si les apetece (el 80% por ciento de las veces están haciendo encore y suele ser diferente entre conciertos, pero hay conciertos sobre todo en festivales en los que tocan Cowboys y se van), no es como otras bandas que llevan el mismo setlist toda la gira y hacen encore sí o sí, además de que aquí ya habían encendido las luces y se habían quitado los instrumentos, yo de hecho conseguí acercarme bastante al escenario porque mucha gente ya se estaba yendo y fui a ver si pescaba alguna pua o algo y de repente vi que había canción extra
