Not even 20 minutes ago my dad left our driveway blasting this song on the way to go mow for a 82 year old woman. Wayne would be proud of my dad listening to it on the way to help an elderly woman
Seen them at Ozzfest 2000 and I was an instant fan and have been since. It's a damn shame that Wayne is no longer with us, but his memory lives on. Those guy from the band and the mysterious new front man are doing Static-X, Wayne and the music justice. RIP Wayne, we miss you
@wellbym8legendaryly bad. Everyone knows that film was a fucking travesty in and out. It raped the source material and shat on it after. Only poser babies born in the 00s think otherwise.
I saw static X alot and Everytime he sounded even better live than the videos but amazing in both..not many have that talent sux he is gone but there keeping his voice alive
Wayne is unreplaceable. The new tour is very cool but some people are so unique once they are gone, they're gone forever. fun fact, Wayne used to record naked for the vibe of it. lots of fun for bandmates and studio workers. They had him in a dark room lol.
Black and White was the first Static-X track I ever heard. Totally blew my mind. I remember where I was when I heard it as it TOTALLY wrecked my calm for the rest of the day! I still get chills every time I hear it. 👍🇬🇧
I had just turned 13 and went to the skatepark with my older brother the first time when this came out. I remember the crazy parties they were throwing.
@@chriscatron3864oh you weren't there in 2009-2014 before he died then. I used to see hate comments on him whenever a new story popped up on him. Even people wishing him dead.
Wow, after all these years, I wondered why the soundtrack version of Cold was different than the album. I like them both, but I agree with Wayne that the soundtrack version is an improvement.
It's always a shame when the audience doesn't appreciate the band that shows up... late night shows are rarely good places for metal artists to promote their music, due to the fact that most are into pop music.
I really dig static x. I've got a quick story about them. I was watching them play in my hometown of Lubbock TX and Wayne stopped the show mid song bleeding and pissed at someone in the pit because he said that this person hit him and knocked out his tooth. He implored the audience to find this person but after a short break he came back out and explained that they figured out what had happened was that the bassist, (tony campos) accidentally hit him in the mouth with the head of his bass. They started up again and finished a killer show even with Wayne missing one of his front teeth.
Static X opened a concert in Guadalajara Mexico for Korn March 06 2002 .... I was there, was my first Korn / Static X concert. Korn played 3 concerts in Mexico March 02 Mexico City March 04 Monterrey March 06 Guadalajara ......
When I was a preteen I thought the guitarist swinging his guitar around his back in the music video was the coolest thing lol Also, I don’t see any keyboardist so the synth line is a backing track live here
The confusion here lies in the fact that Jonathan davis was in charge of the entire sound track for queen of the damned…and had to record it himself. So while others wrote the songs, he was forced to cover them for the official soundtrack.
I think he played the same 3 notes the entire song ,, nice and easy open note in a low drop D , cool song though I can definitely see why it's on a soundtrack
Just recently rewatched Queen of the Damned,a great film, and a great soundtrack,Cold always stood out.
I like how he had no clue what he was talking about and Wayne responded with “No” to every question but then explained the actual answer
Only one question was like that lol
@@dotxyn He also said "self-titled album" and Wayne's like "yeah, so the album is called Machine..."
@@BrandonBames So 2. Carson Daly is a busy guy. Way too busy for knowing about music.

Why would he mow down a 82 year old woman? That's horrible.
lol
Now that song right there brings up some old school memories man rip Wayne Static my how the time flies like the flight of a crow
Also RIP Aaliyah and Chester
I would have loved to be able to be at one of their concerts when he was alive.

Goin out back behind the dugouts smoking shitty weed
Right On!!! I love Static X. This was awesome. The bass player looked like he was rocking out to a completely different song.
Tony Campos.
This song is legendary so is the rest of queen of the damned soundtrack

I love the soundtrack to the movie! I have the cd and jam it all the time 🤘🏼
The soundtrack is such an integral part of the movie. Both complemented eachother so perfectly.
Best movie soundtrack of all time!

Totally agree, as much as I like Xer0 I think Wayne definitely had more creative ideas, and overall felt like he loved what he did.
I heard his carpet matched the drapes as well if you catch my drift.
Xer0 is just covering Wayne.

Rest in peace? ... Or Rock in perpetuity?
Shared the stage with Static-X before Wayne passed away. Super kind band. They had Koji Funaki as the guitarist when we shared the stage
Pretty straight forward guitar and the bass is doing alot for this song
oh ya bass is really the only thing that carry's that song, guitar is the same 3 notes the entire song, for its day its a cool song
A tight drum beat and bassline can carry an incredibly simple guitar riff
Static x was my first concert in 1999-2000 tour with godsmack and Stained
