I hate to say this but I just discovered this band and I absolutely love there style but now im upset to hear wayne passed away. That man has God tier vocals. Rest in peace
Noble Watergod I’m 43 and I never heard them until yesterday. Although I was in a drug and alcohol induced haze at the time this stuff dropped. 🤷♂️
Same, for me. I discovered this band nearly a year ago, and I learned about his death the same day.
Been a fan of Wayne since I was 14 I’ll be turning 33 this year
I discovered them a few weeks ago. I already knew who Wayne was because of VH1 and some other TV shows. I really liked him, he was cool, but never gave Static X or another nu/alternative/industrial band an opportunity cause I was too young (and idiot) thinking they were not true because some friends told me that.
Now in my 30s I'm headbanging like hell with all those music jewels. Goddamit 2000s were my teenage years and I wasted a part of them because of that stupid idea of "true metal". I shouldn't've listen that friends back in the day and still rocking with Limp Bizkit, SOAD, Drowning Pool, Slipknot, etc.
RIP Wayne, thanks for your contribution to our lifes.
Don't hate you just discovered them man just be glad you did. Saw them them at x fest 2002 in Indy. They all sat for like three hours signing autographs. It was awesome. They had to tell me to move along cause I was asking about what foot pedals and stuff he used. But he sat and talked to me till they rushed me away. Hahahahahahaha

Efortless scream and growl. Infinitely talented. No distinguishable difference between album or live. Fucking unreal and sorely missed. ❤️💔
Wayne Static will always go down as one of the most underrated vocalists of the metal genre. His fray melodic screams are 2nd to none and only person who comes close to pulling that is Anders from In Flames. Wayne will always be one of a kind and wish I could hear him to this day. Miss you Wayne and RIP
This song is a good staple that represents Wayne, he always stood up for the ones misunderstood and made fun of. Because he used to be one of us. Always try to know people before you assume that they suck at life. Because one day they can flip that back around on to you and give you the finger.

The thing I love about Static X is EVERYONE in the band is a master of their craft. AND performs so flawless live! If there is an afterlife and Wayne is looking down on us, I'm pretty sure he would be proud of how Xero is carrying on his legacy. But Wayne will live on in metal hearts forever!
I remember seeing Static-x for the first and only time at 2007 Ozzfest. The moment they started playing, I thought to myself, "holy shit, these guys sound live exactly the way they do on album". I have to say, sonically, these guys are the best sounding live metal band because they are super TIGHT. And I'm saying this just having seen Rammstein's MONSTER of a live show.

my dad had the honor of meeting Wayne after one of their shows. He said Wayne was very nice and even gave him a hug. I’m super jealous, wish I got to meet the legend before he passed.

rock in peace Wayne Static my only regrets are that i unknowingly discovered this band when batman beyond return of the joker came out because of their song crash and then several years later i went back on spotify and listened to all their albums because of that song and the song cold from queen of the damned only to find out that wayne passed away now i will never get a chance to see the original band live i can't believe i slept on them for so long the band is excellent the guitar tone is excellent the whole vibe is metal AF i will be a static x head forever more the whole band is amazing they're still carrying on Wayne's memory love you and miss you bro one day i will see you among others in metal heaven 💚

I don't think these guys ever got the recognition they deserved, I listen to just about everything and these guys definitely made a name for themselves I just don't think they got what they deserved
I once took my girlfriend (now wife) to see them at Bogart's in Cincinnati. This was not her cup of tea but she still enjoyed it. She referred to Wayne as "the Amish monkey" because of his mannerisms and considerable hirsuteness. Somehow I think Wayne would of approved as long as the word "metal" would of been incorporated.
A brilliant artist taken waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay too early...RIP Wayne.

Saw them live a few weeks ago in Boston. Xero was fantastic. I regret never getting to see Wayne live, must have been incredible.

He has a fan onstage blowing up at him. I got to see twice in 2007. First at Showbox market then at Ozzfest white river amphitheater.

I remember being into them when they first came out but was overall just a casual listener. Won free tickets to go see them maybe mid 2000s and I was just completely blown away. I’ve been to a lot of live shows over the years and Static-X ft Wayne was just on another level. I was lucky enough to see Wayne live twice. They’re towards the top of bands “sounding better live than in studio”.
