LOTRO: The Saga of Vegward - Episode 72: Talath Anor [Arkenstone Server]

In the seventy-second episode, Vegward ventures into the embattled region of Talath Anor, just outside the northern gate of the Rammas Echor on the far side of the Pelennor Fields. Tasked with uncovering and confronting the Morgul-host supplemented with Easterling Suhalar riders and Morgul orcs, Vegward's mission is both perilous and vital to the defense of Gondor. Vegward's journey begins with fierce battles against the Suhalar at their camps near the wall, pushing the enemy forces back and gaining crucial ground. As he advances deeper into central Talath Anor, Vegward bolsters the defenses of the beleaguered settlement of Crithost. It is here that he learns of the northern city of Cair Andros, now overrun and captured by the Enemy, marking a significant strategic loss for Gondor. Amidst these conflicts, Vegward embarks on a heartfelt quest to scout the scattered farms across the region, searching for Duneth, the mother of a young boy named Tolwin, whose father and brother were murdered by a man named The First Blade. Discovering Duneth's determined resistance against the orcs near the western edge of the Anduin, Vegward joins forces with her. Together, they launch a daring assault on Cair Andros, defeating The First Blade. Though they lack the manpower to reclaim the city fully, their victory delivers a critical blow to the Enemy’s plans. With the Morgul armies pushing relentlessly into Talath Anor, Vegward races back to Minas Tirith, carrying urgent news of a planned pincer movement by Mordor's forces on the Pelennor Fields. His timely report could be the key to fortifying Gondor's defenses and preparing for the impending siege.
