Hi Will great to see you back on a new project, I thought there was the letter A on the clutch components that needed to be lined up with the fly wheel to keep it in balance?
Great work there and you’re right those last two wok bolts are a bugger to get to with the engine in, a thirteen mil ring spanner bent into shape gets you in there with a little patience.
My engines coming back out again next week and off to get the gearbox sorted 👍

The a is only on the older style verto clutch. I hope the engine and box get sorted ASAP for you

I hope you realize how infuriating it is to see your flywheel come off so easily! When I tried to tighten that center bolt the three bolts holding the flywheel puller on all decided to loose their threads completely. Great video!
Ha ha I’ve had my fair share of stubborn clutches too, the guessworks puller sure helps with that and makes life easier

Did you put the washer and c clip back on? I saw you put the flywheel and clutch back on the crank to help when tightening the bolts. I thought oh I hope he put them on first. 👍

In your element there Will, it's always so much easier to do these jobs when the engine is out of the car and you're not restricted by access and space issues. How's that new job of yours going in that place that looks like petrolhead heaven?
100% these jobs have been put forward based upon the engine being out

Nice work. This is SPI engine, isn't it? (I can see flywheel casing has blocked sensor hole and the flywheel has magnetic ring)
I am about to swap my 998 for 1275 SPI using carb and I was wondering two things:
1) you linked 180mm clutch ,but that should be only for engines pre-1990, shouldn't 190mm kit (CK9378) be used after that?
2) do you know if starter motors are same for carb and SPI engines? I would assume they are (pre-engaged type) but I heard that the SPI has different number od teeth on the pinion?
