Those jokes where truly the star of the show, absolutely gas. Really outshined the rest of the video. How can YMBA be so bright? As a core for the video it was heat. Such a nova-l idea.
One of my favorite druids, love the way they flavor the wild shape and focus more on being a caster and still feeling like a Druid and not a reflavor of mage
This is one of the most Druidist Druids to ever transform thanks to the 5e.24 changes: 1) in -5e.2024 it is a core subclass so always available. Like stars in the night sky. 2) dragon form giving you a buff to concentration spells so you don’t loose spells (not new but it is soooo powerful with a spell list that is oops 90% concentration) 3) did any one mention how many stars are animals or linked to animals … yes you can be the Ursa Major and get your point across but add to that the fact that Conjure Animals (and others) in 5e.2024 use glowing spirits and you are the night sky come to earth and it is good rp too! 4) In 2024, the stars Druid really can enjoy the Wild Resurgence Featuee because even if you run out of Wild Shapes you can get one back by expending a spell slot once in a short rest. So you need one more form to prevent that party wipe - you got it. And with your forms power to fly or heal it matters for you more then your moon crazy cousins. ((By the way, not a super fan of 2024 but wanted to make sure it was noted how much more powerful the Stars is now))
Hell ya, Stars Druid has so much room for creativity and self expression that it's a joy to play. Not to mention it gives more interesting things to do with your Wild Shape than "I become bear"
I always mix this subclass with rangers. Archer form giving me a decent bonus action shot and getting guiding bolt just helps me create a nature powered archer. Still being able to wildshape and use the Druid summon spells gives it a lot of flavor too.
Or you can pick regular human in the 2024 PHB to get a second feat, in addition to your origin feat. Imagine getting to pick up both skilled and wizard magic initiate for a druid.
I like how they're doing that with several classes. My level 2 barb I was making is proficient in every barbarian skill outside of animal handling already, which he'll get at level 3. Not to mention Primal Knowledge.
The first time I played a circle of the Stars druid; the character was an older Hexblood fellow who was a courtier to the king of a small kingdom. I was joined by a Cleric, a Wizard, a Ranger, and a Paladin. The Paladin and I started at 3rd level (we had been at court for like 5 years by that point) while the Ranger, Wizard, and Cleric started at 1st (they were both new and young enough in game that it made sense). I just remember my favorite part of that game was watching myself be outclassed by the Cleric and Wizard who functionally took my Job. I was supposed to be the Court Mage/healer. Offering guidance through astronomy and astrology, pushing the kingdom toward a more naturalistic approach. But the Wizard was a divination wizard (the bastard) and the Cleric was a life domain cleric... so basically everything I was about got thwarted and outclassed. The Funny bit for me was the competitiveness of the characters... the Wizard felt that I was stymying the growth of the nation by locking them into a reverence for Nature and the Cleric hated the agnostic-esque quality of druid's worship of natural forces and wanted to bring the nation more in line with their God. I think what the Stars Druid does that helps to make them different is that they allow the Druid, which is already one of the most versatile classes in its ability to fit in many many roles simultaneously, to just fit those differing roles better. The ability to switch forms without expending a wild shape use. The Woe and the Weal ability feels weirdly like a cross between being a Bard and Divination Wizard, like obviously Divination Wizard's ability is superior but I feel like narratively they fulfill similar functions. I really love Stars Druid. They're a phenomenal subclass that is enough removed from the other subclasses that putting them in an urban environment actually feels good. Like if you're someone who lives in civilization, you can still be rooted the nature of the world and cosmos through the stars... and mechanically its just great. Level 20 feels amazing for Stars Druids too without make you feel like its broken.
nah my guy im a middle school teacher and kids still pass notes, with phones not allowed i dont know how many times ive seen kids pass notes thats literally just a phone number or "hi"
Got to play a level 7 Stars Druid (2014 rules) in a one shot a while back & I'm keen to play one again My druid was Ull, a wandering Tortle thay used the stars to navigate. His shell was patterned after the night sky, with dark blues & purples, and lots of stars. That's where the current constellation would shine bright when in use. Highlights were the free Guiding Bolts, and Weal & Woe. I rolled Weal & used one of to let an ally succeed at an absolutely meaningless skill checks, but that's the fun. Tl;Dr big fan of this subclass. It's powerful & flavourful, and has enough room to tweak to suit what you want
Played a level 12 one shot with this class and 1 level dip into life cleric - I kept everyone alive with the Chalice constellation. We fought some really tough enemies and mobs, was such fun that I want to play this in a permanent campaign.
Ymba having a midlife crisis over passing notes in class is not something I expected to find in a Dungeons and Dragons subclass video… but I kind of dig it.
Hi YMBA ! Where can I find the artist who drew the Archer, Chalice and Dragon forms you showed in the video please ? I'm looking for inspiration to make a Stars Druid in my upcoming campaign and they looked so cool 🤩🤩 Cheers
The sky it screams it cries the night lit up by a thousand glowing eyes and there starring why are they starring at me we are nothing in the face of the stars fate so why do they look upon me
Ymba, you pass notes when you don’t want teachers to see you on your phone! The art is not dead!
Whatever that means dude. Hell yeah

A V-Human Druid who starts with Skilled can be proficient in every Int and Wis skill from minute 1. Rogues and Bards aren't the only Skill Monkeys.

@@dragoninthewest1 That too, yeah.

@@watersheep6590 Honestly, I like the idea.
Man variant human is the battle master of races.
I’ve been waiting for this for so long. I LOVE this subclass it’s so good

Best druid subclass
So many possible combos with shape and spell list
I love this subclass
I always flavour it that the wildshapes are space and stary but the stary forms are like huge creatures or space itself
Ah, yes. The Sailor Moon class, including magical transformation sequence.
You. You get it.
nah my guy im a middle school teacher and kids still pass notes, with phones not allowed i dont know how many times ive seen kids pass notes thats literally just a phone number or "hi"
♫The Mayans have figured out THE STAAAAAAAAAARS♫
Hmm, but can you make a religion out of this?

1:47 to be fair, the Big Dipper is only like half of the entire Ursa Major constellation

I should've watched this video earlier, these puns are simply stellar!

Could I say...From how you handle jokes in Your video that you'd make a lot of Fallout and Warhammer 4k references when covering War Cleric?
l love the star puns( I like astrology and astronomy lol)
I have an Astral Elf Stars Druid and I just love the build! Paired with the Astral Drifer background, it rocks!
Never been interested to play a druid, but this class sounds interesting.
YOOOOOO! ALIEN X FROM
BEN 10 MENTIONED! WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Written in the stars!! And perfect to trick anyone!
Also you can true polymorph and go into your stats form for crazy combo!
Me liking space themed anything: Stars!✨
Not gonna lie, this is my favorite Druid subclass ❤
For some reason, I thought for sure you’d gone over this before? Guess I was wrong. Either way, this is a wonderful video for a wonderful subclass
Hey how about the Fey warlock!? It's one of my favorite types, but I need some information
Circle Of Stars Druid that Takes a Life Domain Cleric Dip. Surprisingly good at healing
No older than me YMBA. Some really great puns in this one!
This just gave me the idea that I can make Brian cox as a DND character
Definetly my 2nd favorite Druid subclass with Wildfire in first.
yeah, man, i remember when passing notes in class was a thing...now i feel old
Ymba having a midlife crisis over passing notes in class is not something I expected to find in a Dungeons and Dragons subclass video… but I kind of dig it.
You should see the Druid in our 2d10 fantasy ttrpg, Jeff Foxwothy.
(Insert SAINT SEIYA joke here)
These audience members clearly don't know a quality joke when they hear it. This man is comedy gold!

Where'd the art for the 3 starry forms come from? That was really cool!
I made an Orc Stars Druid with the Warden option and made him a literal Starry (K)Night. His name is Gough. Naturally.
AYYYEEE My favorite subclass
okay the starry form character art that you used is fire, who made them ? :O
Damn litterally making a Stars Druid atm for a new campaign.
I randomly generated a character once that was a Stars druid with a farmer background, so I was kind of forced to make the star chart into an almanac
stars!
The sky it screams it cries the night lit up by a thousand glowing eyes and there starring why are they starring at me we are nothing in the face of the stars fate so why do they look upon me
Alier: the paranoid druid
Funny enough I'm being a astral elf of a star druid knowing nothing so far enjoying it
I loved all of your puns
Can you do a video about illusion wizard?
Is it possible you can touch the mystic class. I know it’s a dead class but I really wanna try them on bg3 mod lol
I play mabe i like dnd
A crew member is a Circle of Stars druid, she's the Astronavigator, not of a sea ship, of a starship.
Oh yeah 1k like let's gooo!
Love the puns
