Definitely take it to The Freedom Factory. There's tons of space there, and Jeremy is a go kart guy too, so maybe you could get a 3 way collab going with Cleetus and Faster Proms. 🤷♂️
Yeah, dudes, reach out to Cleetus McFarland- he has an oval track he calls the Freedom Factory for a playground in Florida. Good weather this time of year! Hope your class scheds will flex- know even college has been a lot of "holding time " lately. Cleet should be finishing up a track resurface by now or will soon.
That clutch bearing is cooking itself because you have tension on it when you're not using the clutch. Just like on a motorcycle you always have a little slack in the clutch lever.
@@justinsolomon4427 if your cable is tight it will cook that bearing. Just like on a car the throw bearing has air gap to the clutch pressure plate when not depressed.
Usually on a motorcycle if the clutch cable doesn’t have a tiny bit of slack your probably actually slipping the clutch even when you think it’s fully engaged
The engine seems like it's running a little too lean, with the missing and blue flames. Could put an O2 sensor mount in the exhaust before the muffler to get some mixture measurements as you tune the carb. Tuning a carb is just make changes and see if it's better or worst.
@@derepic The blue color is the concern for me. In a piston engine, a rich back fire has yellow in it. Now, I do know rotary exhaust temps are way higher than piston engine...so maybe a rotary running rich is Blue and not yellowish. We tune 2 strokes carbs by soldering the jet closed and drilling few to the next size bigger or smaller till it 'felt' better. Just my 2 cents.
I hope you guys get a TIG welder soon. The work adapting that hydraulic fitting was really creative and it was amazing you got it done with a MIG. Another great one.
The new lavalier mics we've been using make it hard to talk excited without being too loud, still working on getting used to it. It'll probably get better with time
if they are welding together you do not have enough play in the clutch lever they should only touch when the clutch peddle is pressed to disengage power the rest of the time they should not be touching the bearing
LOL you never know what will work until you try! Nicely Done Guys!! I would suggest figuring out a metal spacer like maybe some Black Pipe cut to fit with a couple exhaust flanges welded on each end to keep it from flexing at all but other than that the Hydraulic cylinder you chose seems to work like a charm!! That thing RIPS!!
It was really fun watching this project come together. The asymmetrical design makes me think of the STP turbine car driven by Parnelli Jones at the 1967 Indy 500. I hope you find somewhere this cart can stretch its legs.
Outstanding, I can't tell you how much I enjoyed that, especially the Allen Millyard-type fabrication stuff. No doubt I goes, I'd love to see it opened up on a track. Well done, boys!
My 14 year old son races a OTK ROK 125cc and it is very fast. I would love to see this rotary kart up against it. We run C12 and I am sure the rotary would be faster running this fuel as well. I know there is a lot more power that can be had from that rotary. I would love to see you guys continue to fine tune it for more power. The right carburation helps a lot also
The rotary kart is my favorite build from you guys! Glad you are working on it again! Also I like how the intro was you guys getting out the project you are working in the video. It gave us a really good shot of the build. Sort of cinematic looking.
Good shit guys!! I back you up 💯 percent on welding that banjo bolt!!! Ive done similar but with power steering lines where i had to cut and shorten lines. Keep up the good work!
That shifter kart sounds insane 😍😍😍😍 Honestly the best sounding Go Kart I've ever heard, honestly the best sounding Rotary engine I've ever heard. Keep up the great work. I'm actually a big fan of your channel, that college degree is definitely going to pay off. I really hope your channel blows up, you definitely deserve it. If your channel becomes a success, PLEASE DON'T BE A SELL OUT LIKE SOME OF THE OTHER CHANNELS. I enjoy watching the builds not watching people drive their exotics with the money they make from people watching them drive their exotics...smh. Thanks all you broke MFER'S out there supporting our success that you created by not getting off your ass and or not being able to afford it yourself....lmfao 🤣
I was talking with my brothar about rotary engine on a motorsport chassis Kart-Car. I said to him: -Man...I'm gonna look in TH-cam to see if somebody has already done it. Oh, boy... I respect you!
Dont use car oil in a motorcycle engine. Use motorcycle specific mptor oil. Car oils have additives that are to slippery for wet clutches. Its not good for the clutch in the long run. Even some synthetic motorcycle oils arent good for wet clutches. Use a regular motorcycle oil. Like honda gn4 10w40 as an example
I'm new to your channel, this build is my favorite so far. So glad you took the time to build it right. Would love to see how it performs on a grandpri track where you could really wind it out to its full potential.
That is badass!! Sounds great although a 16g turbo with intercooler would be amazing for mid to top end or even a small supercharger for ridiculous take off and constant acceleration through the whole rpm range. Just an idea. Would be like a RX-7 and go cart hybrid
this by far my favorite video from you guys , the thing spits flames and sounds so good , you could definitely rev it higher tho get that rotory sequel out of her
The rotary just sounds so good in this application
There are only a few engines that sound good. Like this wankel and nitromethanol V8
@@qwertyximan no

So true
Lmao glad to here I’m not the only one that thinks so
This is definitely the sickest shifter cart on earth
Yeah I don’t think my old 250cc 2 stroke homemade kart could even top this thing
Most def
as a rotor head. I agree
What about the ducarty you think it'll hold up if it was working
@@andrewjohnson442 it would probably twist the chassis again unless they reinforced the frame a lot, would be a good contender tho
Dan: "I think this will work."
It works.
Also Dan: " I never thought this would work."
Dan is a man of contradictions
Lmfao 🤣
This is by far my favorite of y’all’s projects
Get in touch with the freedom factory. I'm sure they would love to see it too.
Bring extra tires. Massive burnouts required.
Great build guys... A Cleetus fella has a track, sir

?what's free play.... lol. Definitely get worn in fast on the tight side.

Correct, which will also possibly lead to failure of the clutch or friction plates

wouldn't flames out of the exhaust mean it's running rich? there's excess fuel that's not been burnt in the exhaust.

The paint scheme even looks like a 787B. 😎👍badass
Its fun building stuff, the bad part is finding a place to let our projects run freely. East Texas here and no where to ride either.
By far my favorite kart you guys have built, keep up the great work and keep building this kart better and better
That is just so Awesome!!'She's a Ripper'! I'd love to see you each get a couple 1/4 mile times.
Y'all can get wayyyy higher in the rpms with that rotary
I was just thinking that it sounded like it wasn't getting to stretch it's legs
older rotaries are not that high revving than the newer ones
@@PHUSII that motor should hit peak power around 6000 rpm from factory they definitely aren't revving it hard enough
It hasnt been run in a while so just cleaning it out next vid we will see higher revs

The Vargas brothers over at Angel Motorsports need to tap and bridge port this thing

It would be good to take it to a go-kart circuit to see what it can really do. I love 787b's and go-karts so this is really cool.
