What changed my mind about dispensationalism was that it doesn’t hold to its own scrutiny. Hebrews 8 is coming from the perspective of “replacement theology.” If you don’t like the church being the spiritual fulfillment of Israel, then you don’t like Hebrews or any of the works or theology of Paul.

Hello! Could u pls elaborate on this? I read Hebrews 8 this morning, & I'm not quite sure of what you mean. This is a topic I have not studied yet. Some Christians say that God has a special plan for Israel at the end times. I don't know if it's true or not

@@carolinajackson7621 Yeah, sure. To be honest, I don't know if God has a special plan for Israel or not. That's a very difficult exegetical question. But what is very clear is that when God says he is making a New Covenant with the house of Israel and Judah, he is not referring to national Israel. The author of Hebrews is applying Jeremiah 31 to all who are in the New Covenant, not just people in the nation of Israel. Therefore, Jeremiah 31 cannot be talking only about people who are in Israel. If Israel doesn't mean the nation or at least a remnant from the nation of Israel who are saved alone, then the Dispensational presupposition that Israel always refers to people in the nation is wrong. Thus, Israel doesn't always mean Israel necessarily, and Dispensationalism fails to explain its own framework.

@mewtube2671 thks. Israel can surely mean "spiritual" Israel too, what we saved Gentiles are
