Hello! On the Hobie Lynx, our motors will fit ~50% of the time through the Lynx mirage drive. Somehow during the manufacturing process, the Lynx drives vary in width(which is a bit frustrating). Some mirage drives are wider/smaller than others. That being said, we've stopped recommending the mirage adapter for the Lynx kayaks. Here is a video showing what mounting adapters we recommend for a Hobie Lynx: th-cam.com/video/bvpUQNa56mY/w-d-xo.html
The Angler Pro, and PP-768 battery, are only available for pre-sale with the K-1 Angler Pro Outboard Kit on IndieGoGo. If there are still some left they will be back on the website after May 4th. After that batch is gone we expect more in July/August at the latest
I have the J-2 motor with two batteries, wrist control, and adaptor for my Sea Eagle 420x kayak. I also have the solar panel. If I bought this new motor and kit, would I still be able to use my J-2 accessories with it?
Are the batteries able to be recharged by a truck electric systems? 12 to14.4 vdc If not, how about using a inverter 12vdc to 120vac? Will it require a true sine wave, or will a basic square wave inverter work? What wattage inverter do you recommend?
Do you guys have a chart of how much amp it takes going 1, 2, 3, 4, etc mph? I know the amp draw goes up as the speed increases. This gives me an idea of time/distant based on speed based on the power draw and size of your battery options.
You would need our power pole adapter to mount the motor to your Native Titan 10.5. Here is the link to the adapter you need: bixpy.com/power-pole-adapter-k-1-j-2-motors/
Q - how did you mount the power pole adapter on the Lynx to the side and not in the factory delivered mounting position? Assuming you drilled into the Lynx to mount to the right side. I like the idea so you can use the delivered steering mechanism but weary about compromising the strength of the Lynx and likely impact on the factory warranty.
Please contact info@bixpy.com for more detailed info. We are using our 3M Double Sided Adhesive. This footprint can be purchased on our website for $15. bixpy.com/3m-double-sided-vhb-power-pole-mounting-adhesive/

I think that your J2 is about 32 lbs of thrust and the k1 is 33 lbs? Is this correct? Thanks for a great product! The compact K1 size is really nice. Thanks.
I have several water toys I would love to use and transfer the motor between, but fiddling with nuts and bolts each time seems like a bit of a hassle. Do you have any future plans of releasing a quick connect bracket? Even a flat stainless steel plate with four pass through pins with allowance for locking pins on the opposite side.
Hi Peter. There's already a quick-release nut and bolt on the motor fin! It's not featured in this video, but it's that one big bolt in the middle of the motor fin. Removing that takes the entire motor off the fin. This won't allow interchange between all the adapters, but most of them. Hope that helps!
Just needs a longer cord that can output the same amount of power. I have the smaller battery and the motor at the aft ('21 Hobie Outback), I'd like to be able to store the battery under my seat but the power cord is too short
We sell 4.5 and 9 ft extension cables so that you can store the battery under your seat. You can purchase them directly through our website at bixpy.com/bixpy-extension-cable/
On the bluetooth speed control, do you have to keep the buttons down with your fingertips whether traveling between spots or trolling.? I assume there are buttons to go sideways or do have to use paddle to turn?
I use my J2 for trolling all the time. I have a Hobie PA12 and run 2 mph and will run all day like that. I think it’s on about 3 or 4 speed. I add some peddle when I want.
It will be a very slight increase in speed for the K-1 and not super noticeable. The difference in quieter running will be more noticeable. The more dramatic increase in speed will come from the PP-768 battery and it's 13th speed. The PP-378 does not have the extra 13th speed.
The J-2 Hobie Mirage Pedal Drive Adapter and reduced shroud that it comes with will also fit with the K-1 motor. The J-2 Low Profile Pedal Drive Adapter is different thank the K-1 Adapter.
I bought the pro angler model and it's supposed to go to Turbo into cliques. The instructions said the battery has to be totally drained then recalibrated but the instructions really didn't specify had to do this anybody got any experience with this?
Hi Michael. The PP-768 (Angler Pro Kit) has a 13th speed which can be accessed through manually increasing speed OR using the warp speed feature to get to speed 12 and then increasing the speed once more. Warp speed works by pressing the forward button twice and then holding on the second touch. Completely draining and recharging the battery multiple times helps calibrate the battery LEDs for better and more accurate LED readings in the future uses. We hope this helps.
Yes BUT it will need a slight modification. We will be making this change in house but can also give instructions on how to adjust on your own. Please reach out to info@bixpy.com for more information.
@@raybans12 please email info@bixpy.com and they can help you further. We will have a free template to use and other options to make this easy adjustment. We can email this all over to you directly and it will be on our website eventually as well.
Sorry if there was any confusion. The video indicates that the 13th speed is only on the larger battery (PP-768) and not on the smaller PP-378. The PP-378 has 12 forward speeds and 3 reverse speeds. We hope this helps clear things up. Everything on the video is accurate.
@Bixpy no its not...look at the first mention of batteries. You distinctly say that both have 13th speed. Just trying to set you straight but if you're OK with mistake, so be it.
