@@Playvoodoo In what way does it alter the video signal? I’ve never heard of this. How do you mean it’s not region free? It plays PAL, NTSC and NTSC-J games with 50hz or 60hz.
My only fear is that even if the psone is region unlocked, its still a pal console and would run slower. I dont see anybody talk about it so i have my doubts buying a psone pal for cheap. Nobody seems to be having a problem or talking about this on forums, but i cant assume the best case scenario. Does the region unlocked pal psone still run slow?
ONEchip also patches the video signal, using MM3 won't become region free because of the BIOS. It also present on the Japanese PSone.
Oh, in what way and how does it patch the video signal?
@@goldhagengaming It alters the video signal by the modchip. PAL PS1 is a bit different.

@@goldhagengaming I meant multimode 3, ONEchip is way to go. It fools the system running on NTSC.
@@Playvoodoo Ah, I see, I misunderstood what you meant. Thank you :)

PAL PSONE with the onechip will run at 60hz for ntsc games (correct speed) and 50hz for PAL games (slower). Best of luck!
@@goldhagengaming Really?! Awesome stuff! Thank you so much for this! Am planning on buying one soon now!
How about ps1 ntsc-j 100 .. could I make this mod chip ?
No.. sadly the onechip only works on PAL PSone.
can i play burned games on cds with this modchip?
