I have litterally been looking for this kind of mod for like, ever It always frustrated me that nintendo never released the mic feature of player 2 in America when i found out about the mic feature when i got older
Thanks for the vid. There's some places online saying you need to put extra resistors to make the Famicom controllers work with the additional cable length, but it looks like you didn't and didn't have any problems - did P2 work as expected too?
Which extension cord did you use? Is the color coding on the wires fairly standard? I’d like to do this myself using the extenders from Hyperkin, but I don’t want to have to do a bunch of troubleshooting if you used something else and the colors are different.
if you want a solderless mod i guess you could symply keep the fc controller board plugged and replace all the other controller parts from the NES. btw, can you confirm me that the NES controller has easier diagonals than the Famicom? (good for shmups)
Have you tried to make the second famicom controller compatible with the new player 2 port? Some of the games require the use of the microphone to work.
Yes. They use the same output/input so a famicom controller will work on a nes. But i’m not sure if the nes has support for the famicom mic, so that probably won’t work.

Happy to help! :)

Nope, no problems for me. Adding resistors will weaken the power that comes through, so i really don't see how that would help strengthen the signal.
Nice!
Great!
what if the Nes Zapper runs on the Famicom? what needs to be changed?

I don’t think the coding is standard, at all. If you have a multimeter you can trace the correct pin easy.
I may get one for this
Do it!

I did this mod, and to me it seems like the nes does have better diagonals.
Did this according to your pinout and it worked great! Do NES controllers work on controller port 2? I don't have any to test.
Nice! Yes, port 2 works with NES.
Thank you, i used your video, i did it.
Nice job! Glad I could be of help.
I will try this soon
Good luck! :)
Hi i was wondering how to mod a famicom controller to play on a nes console
Que genial.
Have you tried to make the second famicom controller compatible with the new player 2 port? Some of the games require the use of the microphone to work.
It works. :)
Does the 8bitdo wireless Bluetooth receiver work with these?
Does the mic still work on the famicom controller when plugged into the nes port?
Yes
Is it possible to connect a famicom controller to a nes console with this schematic?
Yes. They use the same output/input so a famicom controller will work on a nes. But i’m not sure if the nes has support for the famicom mic, so that probably won’t work.
@@goldhagengaming awesome, i will need one of those nes extensions.
@@abrahamordonezzarco785 Actually, you can put a Famicom controller shell on top of an NES controller. Internally they are identical.
@@goldhagengaming apologies for such a late comment, but if you use the NESessity board it can handle famicom mic inputs

Pero si lo ha conectado. Sólo dejó el cable verde libre. Los otros 6 cables están conectados.
You'll have to wire the FC second controller with a new cable that connects to the female connector?
