Karakaddi by Grinding Chillies

  • Kuswar plate is incomplete without something spicy ...Karakaddi is the only item which is spicy in Kuswar...
    Here I'm sharing a special recipe which my Mom used to do all these years, in which she grinds chillies and cumin...and makes the batter..Grinding method adds unique flavour to the sev, than using powders...
    but you must grind into smooth paste...there should not be any chilly flakes remainings in the ground paste...otherwise while pressing you may get lumps ...
    Ingredients:
    Besan/ Chickpea flour 1kg
    Badgi / Kashmiri chillies 25 no.s
    Cumin 3 tbsp
    Salt 1-2 tbsp
    oil For frying
