I once bought a trailer/mobile home in a park for like 7k. I put my own blood sweat and tears in it. By myself as a single mom while we lived there. I maybe spent $1500. Then 4 yrs later sold it for like $15k.
Great fixer-upper for rental, and huge lot! Great find guys. Look forward to seeing more. PS. Donnie, please grab the camera and turn it on the elusive Ronnie!✌️
My first job away from home was building these homes, lay out the studs add staples and nails, insulate glue add paneling and 5/16" sheetrock decor more staples. Done my side.
Here in ohio I gave up on bringing cans in because they pay by the pound. Even when aluminum is up the pound price is maybe .35 or .40 cents. So In a nutshell you need yrs worth of cans to even make the trip worth it. So many states offer per can prices which makes a ton more to recycle. The question is why does ohio pay Pennie’s while other states make it worth the effort. Great video as always!!!
Wasn’t worth as much as what I thought at the beginning they are making the cans a lot thinner than they used to. I haven’t scrapped any cans in probably 20 years but I took those off and they was paying four dollars per trashcan crushed cans.
you need to keep the other lot beside the other one so you can buy another trailer and put it on it and make more money 💰 Do not sell the lot 👍 Ms Aneda 😊
I knew this looked familiar! Jefferson!!!! I remember that mobile home being made a store. I have family from Jefferson. I know exactly where that store/mobile home is. My cousin had a heart attack there years ago. Walking back to his car.
I have a couple of questions, mostly around wording, just so I can fully get the picture (differences between American english and Aussie english can be fun), when you say 'well', do you mean the kind where you have a hole in the ground, and a bucket, etc... (like in jack and jill)? Or do you mean what we aussies call 'Bore water'? The other one, over here, we have 'metro, rural and regional', I guess your 'country' would be our 'rural', which tends to be farming properties that are sparsly populated compared to country towns that tend to be regional. Love your content, this looks like it is going to be a rather fun project :D
Well, would be a hole in the ground about 6 inches around and around here. It’s 200 feet deep county water is when the county has a water line that’s close enough to you where you can hook on. To drill a well is $10,000 to hook up on the county water is about 2000.
There is a town of 700 people about five miles West a town of 700 people 10 miles East and a town of 400 people about 20 miles south. A town of 300 people about 6 miles north if that helps you understand how we’re located, we just call it out in the country. In South Carolina there’s water everywhere so you can realistically live anywhere so everybody is largely spread out. We have places in the us where there’s nobody for 100 miles because there’s no water but that’s mainly in the west…
That's really not bad.... I've seen a lot worse.... Not sure I'd sell the lot next door... You could find a deal on a gently used mobile home and put it down... As a longer term thing obviously.... Yeah, Donnie was exactly right at the end... People are scared of what they DON'T see.... Start tearing up the floor, and it turns into "Oh no... Ohhh no...." I kinda like that it has that big electric service in there.... Ronnie seemed a little put off by that... When your service is too small, that's several thousand dollars to bring in bigger service, new powerbox, start rewiring stuff.... You are fine there, with the big service... Wire it up. You're only getting charged for what you use, it doesn't matter if it's too big.... Anyways, I look forward to this one. Obviously it worked out, this is like 10 months ago, so....
My thoughts on the wiring is that they went in and added a bunch of stuff, but they may have not done it safely so we're gonna have to check all those extra circuits they added in and see what exactly they were doing.... but yeah a bigger panel is a good thing.
@@mybrotherdonnie Donnie I know you and your Brother Ron can do this blind folded. And whip it into top shape there. Would be great to see the both of you doing this.

A lot of people seem too proud to live in a trailer home. You have to do what you have to do to keep a roof over your family. Trailer parks are known for attracting not only the working class but drug addicts and alcoholics. I would be worried about egress with those bars in terms of renter occupied...Right now? That being said it's a sign to the problems the previous occupants were dealing with. It's likely intact as it is due to the fact it was locked up tight. Can't strip the place bare if you can't get inside....Although wouldn't put it past the creatures of the night. If you are going to remove the bars....I put in motion lighting and security cameras. At least while you are working on the property....So you don't get your tools and materials stolen.
@ I would have never guessed that. You two know a good investment much better than I do. And I solely invest in real estate! Are there local municipality annual rental inspections?
