Technically the one being worked on is an impact driver. It has more oomph than a standard battery screwdriver/drill. Whatever you’re doing with an impact, a drill most likely wouldn’t cut the mustard.

This is actually really cool. Bosch already makes this with that anvil.
It's gonna make less torque though because it's not as solid, it'll bend and flex, and reduce torque transfer.

I can see those screw holes holding the head on stripping out very soon. Never use a drill to service tools. That’s what screwdrivers are for

So lemme get this straight, they used a drill that fits a 1/4 bit to take off the screws for the impact...just so they can put on an attachment for 1/4 bits on the impact. Absolute genious.
But now he can use the impact to take apart the drill 😂

First. why do this if you already have the right tool for the job at hand.
Second, there's a reason why impacts don't take bits, it has tohdo something with torque, much, to and way, i guess.
Third, the 1/2" attachment isn't hollow out of the same reason.
Long story short, this will obliterate all of your hex bits and shear off if you try to loosen a really tight screw. And i'm pretty sure they know this very well therefore they just turn it freely and don't try to loosen or tighten an actual screw. A average impact can produce more peak torque than most cars and impacts like the Makita DTW1001RTJ (1050Nm / 774ft. lbs.) or the DeWalt XR DCF899NT (950Nm / 700 ft. lbs.) wich is a good bit more than a Hellcat and you won't tell me, that a 6mm hex rod can take such raw power, that isn't even linear but oscillating.

Ahh yes it’s always a great idea to be using an impact gun that’s missing 2 of the 4 screws holding on the cover. If it’s missing any screws put it aside to be repaired and replace missing parts

Those anvils are thin enough as it is. Cant tell you how many dewalt 1/2 anvils ive broken off. And when you put a 1/4 hole in the center then they twice as weak to breaking off
