Been watching your vids since I got the game on PS5. I’ve been suuuuper struggling to beat DM0 (on baby mode) and finally decided to download all of bakanudo’s mods to learn the game on my janky lil laptop so I can beat it for real once the latest update comes to PS5. Just wanted say thanks a ton and I love your videos
Quite happy that skul got an update, because now beelz uploads it, I watch it again and I fire it up more frequently, thus enjoying an awesome game and youtuber.
Holy crap Beelz my fresh PS4 Skul file play through has been a wild one! I start normal mode and first skull room I get Lich! I then proceed to beat normal on my first run! Sweet, I think to myself. I then do first attempt dark mirror 0, first Skull room REAPER! I then win my first Dark Mirror run with less than half of my traits upgraded. I then start first attempt Dark Mirror 1 and okay now that I can select a skull I'll go with my boy Pike. Get to the first Skull room and CHAMPION! HOLY FUCK what is this? I suck with Champion but still get a win though I lost my first life(only 30% health at this time) to Dark Daddy. So now I am at all my traits upgraded halfway besides the second life which is full dreading to start DM 2 because what if I get a massive troll and the first Skul room gives me Yaksha and that gives me my first loss?
I still remember that one physical Mummy run when you were so convinced that it'll be a magical run... Only to get both Hope slasher and Kirion 🤣

Beelz, you literally ended up with 12 unused quartz cores, that Ambition would've been very useful; plus you can always respec your dark abilities and get the quartz back
1. Don't sleep on Rapidity Mummy. I know it sounds silly, but he actually shoots all his weapons a lot faster with ASPD. And you don't have to lean on his pop gun. The spam is real.
2. If you do a ninja run I hope it's a Soar Ninja with Jenny's Chain Sickle. It's good! Assuming you get good stuff like the Rosary at least. His directional air attack works great with Soar stuff.

Thief legendary. Invisible knife + dark omen rapier+ attack speed. I clear the whole dark mirror levels with it. Not sure how it does against alexander. But god my ears feel bless with the procs sounds lol

Guns and glory we got some mummy, I've always said it but imagine being a soldier from the middle ages and you see a corpse wrapped in bandages lumbering towards you and suddenly uses the Second amendment and pulled out a Glock and an AK, that'll be terrifying
Did you know that not only mummy is immune to traps, but reaper is too? He will not trigger the act 2 spikes, I only know about these, but this effect might work on other traps. He is literally flying.
Gargoyle might do the same thing, but i do not know.

Also I don’t know if it’s a bug, but if I have 4 treasure, the items that come from them don’t break automatically. I used to ignore this with the bone pots but after I started manually grabbing them my bone total was always over 600 as opposed to just under 500.
You should check out Astral Ascent's new 1.4 Arsenal update, every character got 2 new weapons and 3 passives per weapon, it's awesome!

Question , the mod where it adds Quintessence does it make the run harder if it’s on and I don’t choose anything ? Does it make the game harder at all?
The mod that adds a quintessence selection machine at the start of runs? It shouldn't make anything harder, all it does is let you choose one at the beginning.
Can you make a video of what’s in vanilla Skul like on the PlayStation? I’ve beat the game and I’m confused on what I can unlock and what is modded
The only things that are modded that you'll notice are menus which allow me to spawn items and skulls etc. Or the pillars at the beginning of runs which do the same. Everything else is vanilla. I'm not using custom items or skulls in my runs. The enemies and bosses are legit.

You were gifted this on Steam? Shouldn't be an issue. Try right clicking on Skul (in steam), go to Properties - Installed Game Files and click ''Verify Integrity of game files''

How is the mix on shooting type characters (skulls) verse melee? I want to get it but need another melee heavy game like Dead Cells.
There's a mix. But I'd say it's closer to 30% ranged and 70% melee. There's maybe 8-9 skulls that are ranged. Even then 2-3 of them are more ''mid-range'' as opposed to proper ranged like Hunter. The other almost 35 skulls are melee. 45 skulls total irrc.
@@Beelz55 you know what. That’s still a diverse grouping. I wouldn’t want all of my shooting “pew pew” types to be snipers.
@@saltidog86 I'd technically say Hunter might be the only sniper of the bunch in that case. Mummy has some good long range like the rockets. Most of the others are either casters or mid-range.

@@baptiste5584 Without spoiling, falling under the shop is part of how you unlock the Dark Skul fight. He's a secret/optional fight.

Nah the especially weird part was for whatever reason I was thinking of getting rid of the basic sword when I needed that for 4/4 Courage. I can't remember why I was thinking of ditching Arms when the normal sword doesn't have it.
@@Beelz55 you were thinking of locking in 2 courage in the shop and getting rid of 1 Arms from the machine, but you can't lock in 2 of the same inscription iirc, so you would't have lost the 2 Arms effect, only the 4 Courage
@@SamuelitoDj Yeah losing 4 Courage is almost never worth it. Especially just for rear blast. Phew...

@@SamuelitoDj Hugely so, because Courage (both 2/2 and 4/4) give amplification as opposed to a static boost. Hypothetically if I had 500 physical and took rear blast I end up at 590. But if I proc 4/4 Courage I end up at 725. Even 2/2 Courage on top of a 500 base is an extra 100.
Not to mention if I pop Orc after Courage is active it doubles the number to over 1400. So if you get 4/4 Courage on a naturally strong physical build with items like Hope Slasher or the Cudgel, your numbers get huge. It's also why Collection Desire is so good because it can help push the raw figures that much higher. Hand of Glory as well.
Wisdom is the magical equivalent and just as valuable. They're both basically top tier inscriptions.
Though, can you make a tutorial to be act 4 boss

It just refreshes the first effect. You basically get 100% uptime.
Edit: I was saying Quad damage because the effect of the food I ate doubles the dmg I do and receive. If I pop orc it doubles on top of that.
I downloaded thunderstore's modman, tried to open it. Nothing happened. Does it work on mac?
On Mac? I'm not sure tbh. A lot of programs like this normally stipulate whether there's a Mac version or not. It's typically harder to get them working on anything other than Windows.

I don't... think so? She heals a decent chunk of life but if you get them both low enough the second sister should start with around 60% hp. Definitely don't kill them both together though. Guaranteed 100% sister fight.
@@Beelz55 then it might just be so significant that i usually don't notice it not being 100 %. Admittedly i also don't like dealing with both and find myself having an easier time with just one enraged one.
