I would like it if you naturally had a rare chance to get a duplicate skull. Something that would happen maybe once every 20 to 30 runs or so. It would feel so special, like slime duplicating a good item.
Rockstar gave me my first dark mirror 10 win… as well as nearly every other win. Some fun combos for rockstar Brawler: so many shockwaves Electric Field: high attack speed means it procs almost constantly which is a bonus to defense and offense Afterimage: the impressive attack speed and high magic stat means you have a decent rapid fire ranged atttack that still hits up close
Speaking of skulls you forget and gargoyle, u gotta try dash gargoyle, if you don’t know using the d-pad to hold down while going left/right and mashing jump and dash gives u effectively infinite dash, slap a few dash items and you’re in for a hilarious run
So I just finally beat Skul for the first time, I had the warrior dude that upgrades to have a skill that consumes 10% of your health to become a demon, that dude is so powerful and fast and broken, plus I had such a mad run getting the ring and cudgel etc I beat the St Joan/Hero in like 10 seconds woop woop

I got a crazy rockstar run with 4 revenge and some good healing items but most importantly piety and the chosen priestess' scriptures and I could overheal the damage with revenge, so I would take damage, and heal for more than I took
19:37 recently, i just found out that the same thing happens with the legendary chest room that need a key, if you also got a legendary chest at the end of the room, you could have a duplicate legendary without using the slime, i found 2 veiled mask from this, which is suks XD
32:03 not sure if this isn't the case anymore with updates, but I found a way to rig slime again, though it does require alt f+4 ing so only do if you have no shame and the item slots for it. First, see what slime dupes from your items, keep the item in mind before reseting. Next, delete an item(s) until the item you want is the one you want is in line. Example: I have 5 items and slime dupes the last item, but let's just say something really good is in my 4th slot. I can reset the room, recycle the 5th item, then free slime to get the item duped.
12:17 - I have found myself taking the Elder Ents Gratitude over the unknown seed in more of my recent runs. Prefer the inscriptions + the small bit of safety it provides helps justify being picky with items later on. Edit cause im dumb, i could of sworn Gratitude had heirloom. They have the same inscriptions.

Alright Beelz, I gotta fess up, I thought you were fucking insane for some of your item choices here, and this ended up being maybe literally the strongest non-rigged run I've ever seen, my words have been eaten I will never question you going gunpowder sword on a magic build again
Gunpowder and Invis Knife are strong enough with 40%+ crit chance that you don't always need to worry about damage type. Same logic as why using the Gravity Gen or Cudgel on Skul for skill spam works.

i just had a really strong lvl 8 run with legendary warrior and berserker, practically guaranteed win, and i was on my way to unlocking dark skul only to miss one dark quartz on chapter 4, pain
run idea: no skull upgrades, the only way you can get a stronger skull is by finding a new one of higher rarity, just like the old days. (also no skul to make the run more interesting)
One of my issues with Rockstar is the damage amp from his passive. You have like, barely any control of it. You can build it extremely fast if youre not careful, which can cause you to use the Bone Band when you dont want to, and it falls off IMMEDIATELY, so you barely get to use it. What i think they could do is make it so, withnormal attacks alone, it cant go above halfway. Once you build it to half, only way to make it higher is with abilities. That way you have a bit more agency over the magic amp, like you can build it up halfway with normal attacks, build it up to like 80% with abilities, and then benefit from the consistent damage of your normal attacks with the amp. And then top it off with abilities when you want to use the Bone Band. Or, actually, make it so the Bone Band is an Up+Attack that can only be used at full bar, and make the bar fall off slowly. Also for the same reason of keeping his bar up, i wish his fucking dash didnt lose i frames while holding attack.
Wait the dash loses i-frames for you? I just use dash to keep the bar going and strum along. If I want to slam the band I make sure to swap into him for that juicy boost to the music meter.
@Beelz55 oh his swap gives him meter? I barely get to play him cause I never see him when I can use him, lol. If you're holding down his attack and you try and dash, your dash loses I frames. It's kinda annoying. But maybe I'm underestimating how well dashing can keep the meter up cause I think if you stop attacking to try and dash you lose meter instantly.
Doing a run with only Omen items is pretty rough and takes a lot of practice and attempts to even remotely get close to achieving. Usually you'd have 3 Omen and stack a lot of effects and items to grant you as much invulnerability as possible. All Omen? Sounds like a headache.

Hey beelz, question, what do you think about rift blade (the dark ability right under weakness exposure)?? I almost never hear u talk about it and on paper it does feel like it's a higher damaging but slower to apply weakness exposure for relatively slower skulls, and I honestly feel like for some skulls it would be so much better to either take rift blade or just take both
You could take both if you want. The main issue is that slower skulls tend to take other things already like the soul strike one. It ended up falling into the ''yeah it's ok, I guess'' category.
Pick the highest one you can and just keep going. You get more quartz the deeper into a run you go. So farming act 1 over and over isn't really worth it. But at the same time it's good practice to be playing the hardest setting you can. If it isn't working out, just pick whichever difficulty you're fairly comfortable with and turn on Rookie Mode. Get as far into each run as you can.
@Beelz55 not go mention all the games you haven't played in awhile that probably got new updates my now. you might need to look into fostering some beelz minio-I mean employees to do some of those other games
Genie is one of the most OP skulls in my opinion, just because chase items are insane, and you only need unique to cheese out the game leaving some spare bones for pillars, with genie its easy to get sub 50 runs, leave my suggestio to try it with the chase masterpiece items

It's 5 new skulls and about 25 new items. All of the skulls play very well and Heracles in particular might be a contender for best skull due to how broken he is. We were all shocked it's only $5. Very worth it if you like the game. Criminally underpriced.
I meant after I beat the first hero. There's the option to go back to the castle or go to next chapter to fight the emperor. If I die fighting the emperor, do I still unlock the machine for beating that dm level?

You could take both if you want. The main issue is that slower skulls tend to take other things already like the soul strike one. It ended up falling into the ''yeah it's ok, I guess'' category.

Hey beelz what mirror level would you recommend to farm dark shards without getting deleted
Pick the highest one you can and just keep going. You get more quartz the deeper into a run you go. So farming act 1 over and over isn't really worth it. But at the same time it's good practice to be playing the hardest setting you can.
If it isn't working out, just pick whichever difficulty you're fairly comfortable with and turn on Rookie Mode. Get as far into each run as you can.

Genie is one of the most OP skulls in my opinion, just because chase items are insane, and you only need unique to cheese out the game leaving some spare bones for pillars, with genie its easy to get sub 50 runs, leave my suggestio to try it with the chase masterpiece items

You unlock the dark tech machines as you beat the different levels of the Dark Mirror. You'll get it eventually, but you gotta keep climbing.

It's 5 new skulls and about 25 new items. All of the skulls play very well and Heracles in particular might be a contender for best skull due to how broken he is. We were all shocked it's only $5. Very worth it if you like the game. Criminally underpriced.

Random question... I just beat dm4. If I continue with next chapter and die, do I still get whatever machine it gives me at the beginning of the run?
Each time you unlock a new machine it's permanent. It's all part of story progression so you shouldn't lose anything.
I meant after I beat the first hero. There's the option to go back to the castle or go to next chapter to fight the emperor. If I die fighting the emperor, do I still unlock the machine for beating that dm level?

Check which slot he duplicates then reload and reorder your items so the one you want duped is there.

@@murilosotti3401 Pretty much. So you can't always have a 100% sure way to reorder. You might have to destroy some stuff. It's why I don't really care anymore. I just let the slime do whatever.
