After a year, I gotta say that this is an amazing system. I’m playing Pokémon on Switch and Jedi Fallen Order on PS5, 2 systems that don’t support Atmos gaming, and there’s still a sense of height in the sound.
I've found that if you're looking for a LOT more punch with the whole system - use the manual settings with the speakers +4 (bass) - +5 for everything else. Calibrate the manual distances appropriately. Done correctly, it will blow your mind.
which hdmi signal format should you take with the a90j as standard? dolby vision? optimized? Earc mode on or auto. under sound settings? And what settings on the ps5 to get the best sound?
@@BlackBeltNinja I wouldn’t be jealous. Your model is a beast of a machine. I would definitely buy the optional rear speakers for that true surround sound.
I have the Sony A80J and this A7000 soundbar. So I should use the included hdmi as well as the s-center speaker in cable, correct? I was a bit confused at first and was only using the hdmi. Just want clarification if I should be using the s-speaker cable as well for a better audio experience. Thanks
Hello & thanks for your vidéo. Is it a mistake if I’ve connected the blu ray player on the soundbar directly ? I did that because I knew the soundbar recognize Dolby & DTS spécial sound of the bluray movies. Is the sound different if the Player is connected directly on the TV ? I have Sony 55X75 TV, the HT A7000 Soundbar & Panasonic DP UB820 ? Thanks for your answers !
good day, I just purchased the complete Sony HT-A7000 setup (SW5 sub, RS5 rears) to compliment my new Sony X90K 85". During the video when you mention compatible Acoustic center sync TV's, the X90K isn't mentioned. I see the TV specs does say it's supported, obviously projecting the sound differently and not through the screen but does it actually work? I don't really hear anything from the TV at all, sounds seems to just come from the bar...and yes, there is a cable at the S-center in, Lol.
I’ve another question : I’ve bought the rear speakers SA-LRS5. But I don’t hear the sound which has to go above me. Do I have to increase the sound more that I usually do ? (I live in an appartment) in order to hear it ?
I have an A95K TV and an HT7000 soundbar. The installer stated that he would not install the s-centre cable as it did not enhance the sound and was only a gimmick! Should I insist that it be fitted?

This sound bar looks good with the bass box. And the surrounds. Which costs extra. Love the fact soon sound mapping update will be there soon. My issue is with the rears surrounds Sony really needs to have a surround set that has upward firing speakers for more rear height..
I have sound bar, sun and up firing rear speakers. But when I run Dolby hd or atmos tests, all sounds which are supposed to come from above, always come from directly in front.. no matter how many times I run optimize setup, etc. Have I got a wrong setting somewhere? Etc? Attached via arc to lg tv, with pass through enabled
I just got this sound bar everything works fine the only issue I have is I can’t get the tv remote to work with it. I have tried every single setting to sync the tv remote to the sound bar but nothing works even tried it the way you showed on video it doesn’t see the Soundbar. I have updated the Soundbar to the newest firmware and still no avail so now I’m stuck having to use the Soundbar remote instead of just the tv remote.
I presently have a Center Channel Speaker connected to my 5.1.2 AVR.....if/when I decide to go this route with my A80K....I must disconnect my present Center speaker eh? What about the Soundbar synching with my present speakers and sub? TKS
I want to buy the HT-A7000, the SA-RS3S and the SA-SW5, that is, the complete ecosystem, but I have a question and it is, how would the pairing of the sound bar with the subwoofer and the rear speakers be? Is it done via wifi, bluetooth or another way? From minute 2:33 they mention this topic but it is not clear to me. I thank you in advance for your help.
Hi Albert, Thank you so much for your comment, and for your interest in our products! The compatible rear speakers (SA-RS3S) and subwoofer (SA-SW3/SA-SW5) connect to the HT-A7000 using an RF channel connection. You can adjust various items related to wireless connection between the speaker system and optional subwoofer/rear speakers by going to the Speaker Settings of our HT-A7000. To minimize interference with other wireless devices, set the RF channel settings of the HT-A7000 to ON- this allows the speaker system to automatically select the better channel for transmission. This is the stronger mode for wireless interference. Should you need more information, please feel free to reply to this thread. Hope this helps, and thanks again for considering Sony! - Romeo
How does this work with the older master series Z9G with the binding posts? I was curious if a L R 4mm banana plugs to 3.5mm trs cable would work with my setup?
I am planning to purchase Ht A 7000 to pair it with my recently purchased 55 A 80 K. The TV in itself has a great immersive sound; beyond doubt. Yet, before I proceed to invest in A7000 to enhance my immersive experience, I would like to know 2 aspects: 1. On connecting A80K with HT A 7000, whether the speakers of Sound bar as well as Tv both will work in tandem or only the TV speakers would work switching off the Centre speakers of HT A 7000? 2. If centre speakers of both units [ tv as well as A7000 ] are working at a time then would it create a echo effect [one unit eating up the voice of the other unit] which otherwise happens with my 49 inch Sony led tv paired with Sony HT S500RF 5.1? Waiting for your guidance. Regards.
Thank you for contacting Sony, we're glad to help you with this inquiry. When connecting a TV with the TV center speaker mode or the S-Center speaker mode to an audio system or soundbar, you can use your TV as part of your center speaker. By using your TV as part of your center speaker, conversations sound natural because you can hear them from the screen and its vicinity. Models with TV center speaker mode or S-Center speaker mode have either CENTER SPEAKER IN or S-CENTER SPEAKER IN terminals on the back of the TV. Using this option to make your TV Center speaker will make sure you don't have their sound or echo coming from both units. Many people experiencing a hissing sound when connecting tv with soundbars using HDMI+s-centrer. I bought an 55A80K with a7000. Some said Sony replaced their motherboards but sound was muffled. Check reddit and youtube. Sony should recall these products, fix the issue and put new ones for sale. I tried two of the same tv and also two different soundbars, always had the issue. Unacceptable for the price you pay.
how can you check that soundbar plays movie in for example dolby atmos? If movie has a few available source of sounds how do we know that atmos is playing by soundbar. Others soundbars display it but sony. I just bought a7000 with sub and additional speakres rs-5 and i try to set up everything. Howcan we calibrate maunally a7000. Sorry for my english 🙂

Hello everyone Please tell me, on the HT-A7000, where the side paired speakers play only one speaker at the edges, the neighboring one is silent, that is, one speaker plays on the left side of the soundbar and only one speaker plays on the right side of the soundbar. I tried to run content 7.1.2, the same thing, I already started thinking that it was a marriage....It's always been like this, only now I'm starting to think. What's wrong? It seems that the HT-A5000 is not inferior in this regard, since there are no paired side speakers that work at half..

My TV model is an a80k OLED and I have a problem with the Acoustic Center Sync option, my TV does give me the option to activate it but when I do it, noise is heard in the TV speakers, a situation that forces me to deactivate it .
Thank you for contacting Sony. We're glad to help you with this inquiry. The Soundbars and Home Theater Systems don't support the Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) function. To use the BRAVIA's VRR function, connect the VRR-supported device directly to the BRAVIA TV and not to a Soundbar or Home Theater System. Hope this helps! Please reply on the thread if you need or would like additional support. Regards, Ivan.
Hello plz reply asap when u see this sony. I have a ht a5000 with subwoofer and rear speakers. When I play any music I mostly hear only the music and not the lyrics. I want the lyrics with music together with rear speakers also functioning. Do u have a solution?
I have an issue with the quick settings bar on my A90J in that although the Soundbar additional features are integrated within the quick settings menu, the sound mode setting is greyed out with no options selectable, just says feature not available. The only way I can get this working is to turn the speakers setting to use tv speakers rather than the audio system. What am I doing wrong?
After the Sony soundbar and the Sony rear speakers (RS5) are connected, can the sound volume level on the rear speaker be changed without changing the sound level of the soundbar? In other words, can the sound level of the rear speakers be adjusted individually and independently? Also, can the soundbar remote control be used to turn ON/OFF the soundbar and the rear speakers simultaneously? Thank you!
I'm having the same issue. I can't seem to turn on the rear speakers. They are linked to my HTA7000 and connected to my A95K tv. It's so annoying to have to switch them on individually every time. However, if you turn them on they can adjust for volume and switch off via the remote.
@@baadnewz017 I thought the common sense way to design it is to have the rear speakers sync withe the sound bar, especially on the ON/OFF function. But so far, mine is not doing that.

HI HJP007, Thank you for your question. When connecting to a TV compatible with ARC (not compatible with eARC), the ARC function works regardless of this setting. The speaker system is compatible with eARC (Enhanced Audio Return Channel). eARC is a new function standardized by HDMI2.1 and supports latest audio formats in addition to audio formats that are supported with existing ARC (Audio Return Channel). Set the HDMI Signal Format to Enhanced format (4K120, 8K) when both the connected TV and devices support high definition video formats such as 4K 120p, 8K, etc. More details: helpguide.sony.net/ht/a7000/v1/en/contents/TP1000070960.html Regards, David
Can I connect the PS5 and Xbox Series X through the HDMI Input of the Soundbar and then connect the soundbar to the eARC of my Sony X900H? Or should they be separately connected?

Hi Xavier, Thanks for your inquiry! When you're using your TV as a center channel or with Acoustic Center Sync feature, you'll hear dialogue from exactly where the character is standing in the scene. For context for the below questions, I have just the Soundbar and no subwoofer or external speakers. I have the X800M2 blu ray plugged into the soundbar, and the soundbar plugged into the tv. 1) Should I leave eArc on/off/auto for the TV settings to make sure I'm getting the best sound? Right now I have it set to Auto on my TV. 2) When I'm watching 4K movies with Dolby Atmos, it's not coming up on display, and instead it's showing up as 7.1.2. How do I ensure that I have Dolby Atmos on if I'm watching content with Dolby Atmos? 3) Also, does the HDMI cable that come with the soundbar support Dolby Atmos and the highest resolution uncompressed audio for content? Or we need to purchase another 4K HDMI like I did for the X800M2 blu ray player? 4) Do you recommend Immersive AE on or off? How does it differ between content that already has say Dolby Atmos or a good sound mix? Thanks for your help!

Thank you for the setup instruction; it was very helpful. Any recommendations for stands for SAR-S3S speakers? Also, I was wondering if I could synch 2 units of Sony SRS-XB23 EXTRA BASS wireless speakers with HTA-7000 sound bar.
Hi wuzzdaddy68, I'm glad we were able help! Any general speaker stands that support the following dimensions and weight will work with our SAR-S3S speakers. Dimensions (approx.) (w/h/d): 100 mm × 187 mm × 100 mm (4 in × 7 3/8 in × 4 in) Mass (approx.): 1.1 kg (2 lb 7 oz) We also recommend visiting your local retailer to find a speaker stand that meets the size of these speakers and your stylistic preferences. Hi Gary Carr, thank you for your question. Yes. The HTA5000 has Acoustic Center Sync. My soundbar keeps going into standby and then I wait like 10 minutes and it comes back on then after a while it will go into standby again. I have a Sony A80J and have tried shutting off any and all standby settings. Do I have a faulty unit?
Hi Bigtonytomato, We're sorry to hear that your soundbar keeps going into standby mode. To better isolate this issue, please check that the [Standby Linked to TV] and [Standby Through] are both turned OFF.
If the issue still occurs, the soundbar may have a temporary malfunction. Please perform a factory reset to resolve this issue. To reset the soundbar, please follow the steps on the link below:

Hi, I have an A80K TV connected to my HT-A7000 soundbar. When I select the option to use TV as center speaker, I hear a low continuous buzzing noise. The noise disappears if I disconnect the 3.5mn S Center Out cable or if I disable the TV as Center Speaker. How do I resolve this?
Thank you for contacting Sony. We apologize for the issue you're having. This is not the experience we want you to have. To isolate the issue and identify what could cause the issue, we'd suggest disconnecting the 3.5mn S Center Out cable from the soundbar and then setting the TV as the center speaker. Tony, same for me. Sony technicians are working to resolve my issue currently. From what I understand, they didn’t have any idea how to fix this at the start and had to recreate the issue with the same combination of TV and Soundbar to try and find a fix. They’ve been working on it for 2 weeks now and the last update I got earlier this week is that they have found a fix and are in the final stages of testing. My advise would be to take this to your local Sony repair centre as this is not a known issue for them.
Thank you Nitish. Let me know how Sony fix this problem. I have the A80k in 77 inch. I have geek squad from best buy coming by tomorrow to take a look. I’ll try to contact Sony support next if geek squad can’t figure out what’s wrong.

What is the best position for the sound bar? I have a recessed wall unit and I think the best position is above the TV, but with the recessed portion of the wall unit being about 400mm deep I am concerned the upward facing speakers won't be as effective, or will it be better because the sound will bounce off the top of the wall unit and not go directly to the ceiling. Need some detailed help. I don't want it below the TV because the sound bar blocks the RF remote for the TV (bad design). I don't want to spend $200 on a Tv mount to raise it only 6 inches.
Tell us you didn't read the manual without telling us you didn't read the manual... "When the bar speaker obstructs the remote control sensor of the TV and you cannot operate the TV by the TV remote control, enable the IR repeater function of the speaker system. For details, refer to Help Guide."

Is there any sound benefit to wall mounting or just sitting it on the media cabinet?
good day, I just purchased the complete Sony HT-A7000 setup (SW5 sub, RS5 rears) to compliment my new Sony X90K 85".

Sony has made just that. SONY SA-RS5 . Enjoy :)
There is a rumor of rear speakers will be released with upfiring drivers. Is this true or just a rumor.
I have sound bar, sun and up firing rear speakers. But when I run Dolby hd or atmos tests, all sounds which are supposed to come from above, always come from directly in front.. no matter how many times I run optimize setup, etc.
Have I got a wrong setting somewhere? Etc? Attached via arc to lg tv, with pass through enabled
same here
I just got this sound bar everything works fine the only issue I have is I can’t get the tv remote to work with it.
If this is wall mounted (the brackets are included), you have to run the power cord and others through the wall to conceal them.
No. Use a plastic conduit
So does this soundbar have 4K 120 pass through with VRR and ALLM, or would I have to keep my PS5 plugged into port 4 on my tv for VRR and ALLM?

I want to buy the HT-A7000, the SA-RS3S and the SA-SW5, that is, the complete ecosystem, but I have a question and it is, how would the pairing of the sound bar with the subwoofer and the rear speakers be? Is it done via wifi, bluetooth or another way? From minute 2:33 they mention this topic but it is not clear to me. I thank you in advance for your help.
Hi Albert,
Thank you so much for your comment, and for your interest in our products!

I am planning to purchase Ht A 7000 to pair it with my recently purchased 55 A 80 K. The TV in itself has a great immersive sound; beyond doubt. Yet, before I proceed to invest in A7000 to enhance my immersive experience, I would like to know 2 aspects:

I have the Sony x900h with this sound bar connected to HDMI 3(earc). What HDMI signal format is the best? Enhanced dolby vision?
HI HJP007,
Thank you for your question.

After that, please connect the HDMI IN jack compatible with ARC/eARC on the TV and HDMI OUT (TV (eARC/ARC)) jack on the speaker system with the HDMI cable.

I have an A90J. What is the advantage of having the TV as the center channel with a sound bar? Does it make sens? What is best for voice clarity? Thanks
Hi Xavier, Thanks for your inquiry! When you're using your TV as a center channel or with Acoustic Center Sync feature, you'll hear dialogue from exactly where the character is standing in the scene. Action and sound are precisely aligned so your viewing becomes much more immersive. Hope this helps! -Sam
@@SonyConnect Thanks for your feedback but you are not answering my question. My question is : why using the TV as a center channel as the sound bar already acts as a center channel so for me they are duplicating. I don’t really understand the set up and setting of having a center bar and a TV as a center channel.
@@xavier3880,
Thank you for getting back to us. When connected to a BRAVIA TV with Acoustic Center Sync using the supplied cable, both the soundbar and the TV become the center speaker in your home cinema system. This enables sound to precisely match what's on the screen for a truly immersive experience.

For the second question, If your soundbar display is showing up 7.1.2, this means your soundbar is outputting the audio in Dolby Atmos format. You can also press the Display button on the supplied remote and the DOLBY ATMOS will appear on your TV screen. For your last question, yes, we recommend turning on the Immersive AE function so you can feel immersed by the sound from not only the horizontal direction, but also from the upward direction by working sound modes effectively. Please note: •The Immersive Audio Enhancement function is available only when [Setup] - [Advanced Settings] - [Audio Settings] - [Sound Effect] is set to [Sound Mode On].
