Boston 1988, incredible concert, everyone is happy, J.T. is unique. This BAND is amazing, I think the best J.T. band ever: Don Grolnick (piano) & Carlos Vega (drums), both deceased; Leland Sklar with his "Frankenstein" bass, guitarists Bob Mann (what a solo!) and Dan Dougmore and singers Rosemary Butler & Arnold McCuller. What a shame that I never had the chance to watch this band live. Greetings from Portugal.

I'd say the following line ups got even better with Jimmy Johnson on bass, Mike Landau on gtr, Valerie Carter, Kate Markowitz, AM ja David Lasley on backing vocals.
Not to mention the All Star Band with Lou Marini, Steve Gadd, Andrea Zonn and Larry Goldings. Absolutely faboulous.

@zbestwun2001 James lost some people very close to him in the 90's. First, his brother Alex in 1993, who died on his birthday of all days (March 12), Don Grolnick, who was his best friend and his music arranger for many years and of course Carlos Vega, the drummer here, which nobody saw coming.

This is classic James Taylor at the height of his powers. I’ve been to about 5 of his concerts. One actually kind of sucked. It has to be hard to be 100% every time. But when he is at 100% - wow...
