- James Taylor is no stranger to the Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls, OH.
As of 2023, James has performed at Blossom more than any other featured performer: 26 times in the past five decades.
In 1979, James was celebrating the release of his most recent studio album, “Flag”, with an extensive U.S. concert tour that included the Blossom Music Festival. The concert was taped for release by Warner Bros, produced by Peter Asher and Stanley Dorman. This was James’ first ever commercial video release.

Would love to watch a video from James discussing how he’s maintained his vocals over the years…he sounds so good throughout this period when so many of his peers were shredding their voices to often never fully recover. It’s my understanding that there wasn’t much by way of vocal training/therapy available in the 70’s, how did James get through that decade unscathed?!
