it is actually amazing that how you'd described the scene. It is quite inspiring and beautifully designed. I'm really happy to see genuine artists like this whether digital or hand-made
Rediscovering these videos after years. I watched your timelapse paintings over and over again back in the day -- they influenced me in my own art and painting process a good deal, I think. Just thought I oughta say, for old times sake.
Finally after several day of search i find this video. I have no idea how to paint digital painting but this video give me an epic feeling every time watching. Thank you
what i like about this is that the painting could have been finished like 1:00 into this, but you just kept adding more and more detail and it looks awesome.
I'm Japanese. I do not speak only a little English. I'm sorry there was rude. I love your work. Tears flow in the excitement. I look forward to your work in the future. Thank you for a wonderful wonderful work.
i just bought a tablet today n yours is d first video i saw n i dnt hav any words.i really wish ill be able to draw like u someday.u motivated me.i dnt knw whether u wil read this or not but thanks n this is truly a masterpiece
Surely! The learning curve is different for everybody, and the curve never quite ends. Mine has been running for maybe six years, but with a good foundation of knowledge to start with, it'll go significantly faster.
Every single time i watch your videos, I think: "I'm gonna absorb every part of the way he paints." Then, when the video starts... *jaw drops and stares in awe*. When the video ends... *snaps out of trance* "Oh damn! I missed it again?" You are that awesome! :) What I would give to learn from you.
I started a few years ago. Usually, I say I didn't get serious until I was 16 or 17, so that would be about 4 serious years! I'm turning 21 next month. If you work hard, you'll however good you want to be!
your creations are amazing, i reconsidered they over and over again. and i can say that your creations have "motion". And it is very rare phenomenon in digital painting. Thanks to you, I have gained new interest in digital art. Sorry for my English.)))
Thanks man i really, really appreciate it. You are the only person on TH-cam that actually knows how to reply to comments. Every single time i ask a question you reply right away. Again, thank you. BTW i love your art. Keep it up! :D
You'r welcome :) These works such as yours are giving inspiration to try and practice with tablet sometimes. It's realy fun to see what will come out from it in final result. Wish you a great week.
one of my favorite paintings... this is about the 9th or 10th time i've watched this... ive even had to show a few of my friends and my sisters... you rock dude... keep it up
Thanks :) I'll keep that in mind! The cloth to hold the sword adds a bit of background though, asking yourself where and how he got it, or why, is part of the painting :) I think it adds a dimension of humanity to an otherwise soulless being!
Like? This should have a LOVE button. This was awesome. Incredible work. Inspired me to keep working and even resulted in a new character named Omega to my line of heros for my future video game.
I haven't heard of Ryan Church, but I think everybody learns better from different "teachers". Bucci teaches me a lot because of the way he presents the subjects, but I know some people who just can't learn a thing from his videos!
Heh, thanks a lot :) Coming back to see my videos regularly, that's a real inspiration for me! I'll try to put something up soon. Sorry about the slow reply!
your paintings are truely inspiring.. I always see your videos at least once in a week.. and get inspired back to painting.. want to see more from you.. thanks
You're videos are so interesting! Every detail you add, my eyes are forced to watch. Your art is very beautiful, and I love you original stuff. You should make more originals! It's all amazing. Keep doing what you're doing!
This is incredibly inspiring. I've just purchased my first tablet and I'm just learning to use it, but your work gave me alot of motivation... WOW! The painting is fascinating!
Oh. Wow. I really hope you become a concept artist because your designs are amazing. And I kept thinking about how freaking awesome this character would be in a videogame /flail. (as a fellow designer and digital artist also aiming for the same field)
This is by far the best and coolest digital painting I have come across so far. I wish to start doing this. Going to order a Wacom Bamboo tablet, but the cost of Photoshop is the only problem.
I don't think any of the mobile pads have pressure sensitivity or support for Photoshop or other advanced drawing apps, so I wouldn't recommend that for any serious artist. The dedicated drawing pads has pressure sensitivity which is a great feature! Also, if you think you'll have a problem locating the "pen" on the screen, the cursor actually moves along with the pen as you hold it above the tablet (non-contact) :) I very much recommend any Wacom tablet. I use the Bamboo series.
I love this song! An old favorite. Pleased to randomly hear it on a video hehe! You're very skilled! I'm fond of sketching but I'm struggling to move onto painting. Thank you for sharing your process so I can learn!
Thanks! :) It's part of the default chalk set in PS. Click the small arrow in the upper right corner of the brush menu and look around there for various sets!
Wow, you actually answered. I'm stunned flipping grateful. Well with some practice and precision I might get it and I'll check my brush settings (Although I'm mostly a traditional artist and all that jargon is practically Chinese to me, I may have to do some research) Thank you!
freakin awesome..im giving respect to the designer. when i see the design of the armor, its give me a freakin idea. you are great! i like future-themed designs!!!!!
Awesome work. Actually I'm waitin the arrival of my first tablet. I am only a simple amateur who drawed for years on paper just for passion while studying something really distant from art... This type of artworks are what keeps me willing to improve. Keep up the good work! Best wishes!
Thanks :) It's actually an older model, the name is only "Bamboo". The hotkeys are on top of the tablet instead of to the left, and there's also a small touch-scroll wheel. I don't use any of that though, I only use the pen function, so any bamboo will do!
Thanks! They're all very nice devices. I'm using the Pen & Touch now, because mine broke some week back, and the Bamboo Pen was out of stock. I don't really use the Touch function at all, so I would've preferred the Pen version :)
OTROLIGT! jag älskar din brushes! ...och dina gudomliga skills. har du någon länk så jag kan ladda ner dom de ser nice ut! tack för svar!!!!! AWESOME!!!!!!
Man, i saw your video 2 years ago, and im trying to do something good until now, your video inspired me, i hope you still helpping other peoples like me ^^
@InsatiableIremain I always use pixels! Most of the times, I start off with 4000x6000 or more, then crop as I see fit during the process! Two brushes, one custom made to create the messy parts, and the default hard round. Two layers, one for character, one for foreground effects :)
Haha. I always did eat my veggies. One of few children! Seriously though, it's more about having fun doing it. I paint things that I want to see. Painting entertains me, and every new project is a journey, and that makes one keep making more and get better. If you want to paint something, and you think it's fun, just try it. Try til you get better, and repeat!
Thanks a lot :) I'm actually only recording part of the screen, so it's not really fullscreen, but you could try lifting the image's tab out of photoshop so it's independent, I think you can put it to fullscreen then!
That's a relief! But I was thinking of the concept art business. Usually they look at your history in the business or merits, and if you don't have those, they look at degrees. "Sorry, but we're looking for someone with more experience" is a line often given to me, haha! Most of the times, you need proof of paper to show that you're good ;/ But now I'll work up my 3D skills at least, to have some sort of opening to the business :)
sweet. thanks for the info. Didn't mention it in the other comment but this is a really good job, very professional. I subscribed and am going to check out your deviant art page. With this kind of work you shouldn't have trouble getting a job in whatever industry you choose. Best of luck!
Thanks for the quick reply, and all the detail, watching your videos has inspired me to convert my pencil work skills into digital art. Keep up the great work (:
6 years and i still comeback to check this masterpiece.
11 years now.
Visiting this video after 10 years - the beautiful painting and the awesome bg music takes me right back to high school
Thank you :) And your comment brings me back!
it is actually amazing that how you'd described the scene. It is quite inspiring and beautifully designed. I'm really happy to see genuine artists like this whether digital or hand-made
mehmet zahid Thank you :)
Rediscovering these videos after years. I watched your timelapse paintings over and over again back in the day -- they influenced me in my own art and painting process a good deal, I think. Just thought I oughta say, for old times sake.
Thanks for taking a moment to say it :) Paint on!
My fucking god this guy is amazing thumbs up you just earned a sub
Heh, thanks a lot, friend :)
dude i saw some of your other works you are godly *bows at your feet* lol seriously you're awesome man you could go places with that
Finally after several day of search i find this video. I have no idea how to paint digital painting but this video give me an epic feeling every time watching. Thank you
Things like this make me feel like I'm missing something
10yrs ago when i watched this and it still gives me the same feeling everytime.
Holy cow...Every second I keep thinking that it's all finished and looks awesome, and then you go and change something so it looks ever better...
what i like about this is that the painting could have been finished like 1:00 into this, but you just kept adding more and more detail and it looks awesome.
It's all about putting down enough time for it, and striving to get better, and never be put off by how far ahead others might be!
Thanks you :)
I'm Japanese.

You are that awesome! :) What I would give to learn from you.
One of the most interesting parts of the video was watching your progression of ideas. Very nice.
I started a few years ago. Usually, I say I didn't get serious until I was 16 or 17, so that would be about 4 serious years! I'm turning 21 next month.

Takes years of practice, you gradually learn with kind of things bring life to a painting over time :)

amazing work , i can feel the metal , the fabric and everything feel so real , everything blends in together perfectly tooo
Like? This should have a LOVE button. This was awesome. Incredible work. Inspired me to keep working and even resulted in a new character named Omega to my line of heros for my future video game.
Those are all great songs! I'm glad you're keeping an open mind! :)
That is excellent. The detail with your colours is something else.
I haven't heard of Ryan Church, but I think everybody learns better from different "teachers". Bucci teaches me a lot because of the way he presents the subjects, but I know some people who just can't learn a thing from his videos!

Amazing, I particularly love the translucent plates you threw in, I'm going to try and start incorporating that concept.
Dude this is so freakin awesome... and the music is just right upbeat tempo for the speed of the video... keep up the good work
Very nice :) There's a lot of cinematic feeling to many of their songs, so they tend to spur my mind too!
Oh. Wow. I really hope you become a concept artist because your designs are amazing. And I kept thinking about how freaking awesome this character would be in a videogame /flail. (as a fellow designer and digital artist also aiming for the same field)
Sick! I want that!
From artist to more skilled artist, job well done! That just makes me want to practice more and more! You inspire me!
Seven years on, I still love this.
This is by far the best and coolest digital painting I have come across so far. I wish to start doing this. Going to order a Wacom Bamboo tablet, but the cost of Photoshop is the only problem.
This is insane, love the way you get loose with it, you really enjoy it! :D
Dude... Hudson must be the luckiest guy in the world to have a classmate with this much skill.
My advice would be to have as much fun as you can, doing it. Fun is an endless source of inspiration and motivation :)
I just watched this.... and I must say, it is breath taking!!!
I don't think any of the mobile pads have pressure sensitivity or support for Photoshop or other advanced drawing apps, so I wouldn't recommend that for any serious artist. The dedicated drawing pads has pressure sensitivity which is a great feature!

I was looping it yesterday, so it's still one my favs as well :)
Glance at some basics, then dive head first in to painting, I'd say!
Thanks! :) It's part of the default chalk set in PS. Click the small arrow in the upper right corner of the brush menu and look around there for various sets!
You are truly gifted bro. I hope you do this to make a living anything else would be a waste of your time.
Wow, you actually answered. I'm stunned flipping grateful. Well with some practice and precision I might get it and I'll check my brush settings (Although I'm mostly a traditional artist and all that jargon is practically Chinese to me, I may have to do some research) Thank you!

Awesome work.
Actually I'm waitin the arrival of my first tablet. I am only a simple amateur who drawed for years on paper just for passion while studying something really distant from art... This type of artworks are what keeps me willing to improve.
Keep up the good work! Best wishes!
Just when i think he can't put more detail into it he does.. holy crap thats amazing man
Damn that's awesome. It's good to know that you can become this good with not the best of resources. Good job.
Completely and utterly BAD ASS! I am inspired to start another picture!
This looks amazing. Looks like something out of a studios concept art for a movie or game
This is amazing! I wish it had million views so people could see how awesome you are!
Game devolpers must be hungry for artists like you.
Nice job!
dude if this is self taught, then I want to see the tutorials you've been watching to get this good :O
Wow. This is absolutely stunning!
God damn... This is literally giving me an adrenaline rush! Thanks for the inspiration!
This is unbelieveable.. Jesus christ, you sir, are gifted!
So cool. You've got a crazy good eye for texture. Keep rockin.
This is my favorite out of your collection.
Thanks :) It's actually an older model, the name is only "Bamboo". The hotkeys are on top of the tablet instead of to the left, and there's also a small touch-scroll wheel. I don't use any of that though, I only use the pen function, so any bamboo will do!
I'm going to watch this a couple hundred times until I see things the way you do
Not just super cool but also super satisfying.
Okay, you are amazing. I am trying to teach myself at the moment and looking at this I don't think I will ever be this good....
Haha, I recognize that from watching the artists I admire :) Thank you!
Thanks! They're all very nice devices. I'm using the Pen & Touch now, because mine broke some week back, and the Bamboo Pen was out of stock. I don't really use the Touch function at all, so I would've preferred the Pen version :)
looks absolutely amazing!
well done!

AWESOME!!!!!!
Man, i saw your video 2 years ago, and im trying to do something good until now, your video inspired me, i hope you still helpping other peoples like me ^^
Thanks :) It's basically just a brush in the shape of the silhouette of some plant or bush. Very irregular, kind of like a sponge!
ALL that epic looking Suit and Armor.. His weapon? A SWORD! :D
Most awesome drawing iv'e ever seen in my life
@InsatiableIremain I always use pixels! Most of the times, I start off with 4000x6000 or more, then crop as I see fit during the process! Two brushes, one custom made to create the messy parts, and the default hard round.

That's just incredible!

Great! Hope you're enjoying your new tablet :)
This is fantastic work, my fav part is the plastic shields on the shoulders :)
the sword alone made me fall in love with this painting ¦o...but i dont want to say the rest is not good...i just love the atmosphere!
Thanks a lot :) I'm actually only recording part of the screen, so it's not really fullscreen, but you could try lifting the image's tab out of photoshop so it's independent, I think you can put it to fullscreen then!
Seriously if I was even half as good as you are I'd be happy. Great stuff.
That sword just made it even more Epic :P
you are a great artist..! Subscribed :D
This is so cool! Awesome work man, I love your style! x3

@Beschaulichkeit Thanks! One small detail can often bring another dimension to a painting!
Actually I, too, use the bamboo :) It's a good tablet for years to come. Could probably do with this if I worked as a professional too!
The music fits better in this video than in any other video I have :) Thanks, I will!
Thanks for the quick reply, and all the detail, watching your videos has inspired me to convert my pencil work skills into digital art. Keep up the great work (:
As long as you spend enough time practicing and moving forward, you'll get however far you want in no time :)
BAM, that looked awesome!
"Art class? I'm self taught, not a single art class in my life." ... Like a fucking boss...
I bow to your talent. Just amazing!
