I’d follow tutorials and they’d just tell me to do it. Ok but why? It doesn’t help me if you don’t tell me why tf I’m doing it I can’t extrapolate that out to my own work if you don’t explain it. I think a lot of digital artists just saw others doing it so they adopted it and they didn’t fully understand why they did it or what it did either. So THANK YOU I can die peacefully now

3:00 yeah i know right? Back when i started traditional art again after a year and a half of digital drawing I would always double tap on paper for undo, or zoom in/out. And drawing traditionally really makes you miss the things that were always there for you like liquify..

To me, I actually like the one without the tools more bc it looks more realistic/ as snarky as the refrence picture and the one with the tools looks more stylized(bigger eyes, slimer cheeks and chin, more exagrated expression) and happier than the one without. They still look stunning tho
