As this went on it became more and more about Corvo for me. The implied feel of the figure lends itself to that smoke/fog. Glad to see a new vid on your channel👍🏻
Yeah, I'm eagerly following you on DeviantArt as well! :3 You've become on of my biggest role models in art. I've been looking up to you ever since I discovered your channel four years ago! c:
Badass work as usual Lee! I haven't played the games but the art style from them has always intrigued me. Super unique themes compared to most games these days. I do have one question tho, how come you decided to crop the final piece? I really liked the space that was around them. It gave the feeling of them hiding in stealth, undercover in darkness and being secluded.
Thanks! I tried avoiding closeups in this one, since I was working in different places the whole time, which would make a twitchy video if I timelapsed the zooming :)
The brush I used comes with buying this illustration for $5 gumroad.com/nicponim but it's easy to make one if you know how to make brushes. Just make a square canvas and make a black-to-white gradient from one side to the other and save as brush :)
Really nice. I especially like how loose and energetic the brushstrokes are, and the color vibrance , it really brings the piece alive. Is there any way we can see a higher resolution version of this than the one on Artstation?
Thanks :) The one on AS is the largest one, but there isn't a lot of information to zoom in on. My original file is larger, if you want me to upload that instead!
Yeah! Thinking about how it's broken up and pretty chaotic? As you say, it's to indicate the movement and direction of the image, and not creating areas to fill with color as lineart is often used for :)
Any chance you got the orignial speed to this painting? I'm sure it's long but I would love to learn to do lineart like you did in the beginning. I have such a hard time coloring once I get my lineart down.
Sable Sorry, got no realtime recording of it, but the setup is simple. I sketch with a small square brush without any pen pressure settings, just 100% black :)
Wow really amazing dishonored painting! I absolultey loved how you created this! the lighting is amazing and you really nailed those poses as well! If I may ask though, how did you do that smaller box window where you could zoom in and paint? I know about the Navigation menu but I though that normally works in the opposite way.
Niiice! I like how the fast tempo of the song matches the movement of the cursor which slowly, but surely, uncovers the painting that was hiding all this time behind the white. :)
The brush used to paint this piece is purchased from Nicponim, so I can't give it out, but it's basically just a square brush with one side sharp and one side fading out completely :) So a black-to-white square gradient, then make a brush out of that in PS.
what version of photoshop do you use?? because i see this color palette you have there and choosing color and in my version cs 6 i don'a tfind this palette and i have to use coolorous to paint
I've experimented with some ways of recording it and also ways of sculpting that works in a sped up way, but haven't found any good way yet. But I do wanna do zbrush timelapses, so keep an eye out :)
Dishonored 1 and 2 are two of my favorite games and your drawing reminds me of the game's official artwork. Beautiful

Cool observation! I can see that as well now :)
This makes me happier than it should. Great memories of this franchise, and the painting captures them perfectly!
Thank you :)
I cried all the way through watching it... This is so beautiful!!! I wish, I will be able to draw like that one day ,_,
Wow! :) No words ... only LOVE IT!
Have you Twitter? Because, I found your account name but I'm not sure if it's you
Thanks! Yeah, but I don't put my art there :)
ah ok :D Thanks
In the middle of thinking that the art on my channel isn't actually that bad and then I see this digital master •o•
Ah, YESH!

Wow ruggit bra! xD Din stil passar verkligen med dishonored temat :)
Tackar! Jag tar stor inspiration från konceptarna för Dishonored, Sergey Kolesov och Piotr Jablonski, i det mesta jag gör nu faktiskt :D

Yeah, the art direction of these games is really ambitious :)
Hm, true, it might have worked better keeping some more space around them!
Love it!!! u should do some more close ups like 4:20 it really brings out the details close up :)
Thanks! I tried avoiding closeups in this one, since I was working in different places the whole time, which would make a twitchy video if I timelapsed the zooming :)
yea true. Maybe at the end even
That's a good idea, I could do some closeup pans!
Great work! I'd love to know how you created the smoky effect!
Thanks! It's with a square brush that is sharp on one side and fades out on the other :)
Thanks! Could you provide a link to a copy of the brush/brush set? I'd love to try it

I would love to see the original res, assuming it's not some sort monster of a file in terms of filesize that would be annoying to upload. :)
Hey, sorry about the delay. Try the dropbox link in the description!
Thanks a lot!
Interesting use of the line at the beginning. Was it to better grasp and capture movement?
Amazing painting as always you never cease to inspire me
Yeah! Thinking about how it's broken up and pretty chaotic? As you say, it's to indicate the movement and direction of the image, and not creating areas to fill with color as lineart is often used for :)
I love this and would totally hang it on my wall. Will you ever sell prints? :0

Alright, cool! I'll give it a shot. Thanks!
Shall we gather for whiskey and cigars tonight?
Ratentaisou I've already gathered for one of them today :p

Clifford's Studio Hey thanks! You open it via Window > Arrange > New window :)
No problem! And interesting...I'll have to try it out on my next painting! Thanks so much for sharing!
Niiice! I like how the fast tempo of the song matches the movement of the cursor which slowly, but surely, uncovers the painting that was hiding all this time behind the white. :)
Heh, thanks :) Poetic!
i would like to have your brush set Kevin... can i??
The brush used to paint this piece is purchased from Nicponim, so I can't give it out, but it's basically just a square brush with one side sharp and one side fading out completely :) So a black-to-white square gradient, then make a brush out of that in PS.

Should be available in that version. It's just "color" under the Window menu! But I have CC 2015
believe me is not available in cs 6 i have looked EVERYWHERE :P
Jag gillar ;)
Tackar :D

I've experimented with some ways of recording it and also ways of sculpting that works in a sped up way, but haven't found any good way yet. But I do wanna do zbrush timelapses, so keep an eye out :)
