Beautiful! Those were great LTDs! I remember as a kid, my dad bought a brand new LTD Landau, coupe in silver on July 4 during courtesy Ford sale in Denver. It was on the showroom floor. It had the same red Valore interior, but it had the huge 460, 4 barrel carb engine. I was so excited when he bought that car right off the showroom floor. I learned to drive in that LTD. It was the best car and I have the fondest memories of that period of my life.
Absolutely beautiful and even better it's a fully equipped Landau with power windows, so many had manual crank b/c buyers either didn't want to spend extra or just thought it was something else to 'have problems' later and in reality most ppl didn't even keep them long enough anyway lol! Amazing color combo as well!
I had a 1977 Ford LTD Landau yellow with with a blue vinyl top yellow Interior fully loaded, I bought It as a tow vehicle for My drag race Car 1967 Cougar with a 429 but when I bought It I thought It was a different Car I thought It was a mid size Car with a 351 M It had a 400 and had a C 6 Transmission It had a FMX transmission and I thought It had a 9 Inch rear end It had something else but It used a lot of gas and the after market cam broke I thought It threw a rod and I started selling parts off of It and My Parents convinced Me It was junk and wanted It out of Their yard and They sent Someone to buy It from Me I still have dreams I have that Car and drive It but when I was driving I would see a Mercury Marquis same year and would have traded but June 2023 I managed to get A 2001 Toyota Camry LE with a moon roof It has grey Interior that I hate I want to dye the Interior yellow as a memorial to My old LTD Landau.
Video is ok, needs a POV drive. Most of all, the music is annoying. What's the point of music? We are not interested in music when looking at auto videos. We want to hear the car. Not some misfit canned music. Please save the music for music videos, MTV etc. Fyi, this is coming from a musician and music lover. There is a time and place for music, but this is neither. The car is very nice!
As of when does a four-door sedan become a landau? a landau top is something on a two-door, either front landau, or rear landau, but it's a two-door with a half vinyl top, so don't be putting landau on this LTD brougham, that just tells me you guys don't know what landau means
The reason the passenger mirror is missing is that whoever ordered it new forgot to get the Convenience Group. This was a package that bundled interval wipers, a right hand mirror, a visor mirror, a power trunk release and automatic parking brake release together. You can see the wipers are standard 2-speed and it has a pull handle for the brake release. A curious omission in otherwise loaded car. Also, the radio is some kind of aftermarket AM-FM-CB unit. The black speaker grills in the doors, instead of color-keyed ones, are your first clue. Yes I'm a Quinn-Martin era Ford geek!

Not the LTD's finest moment IMO. I liked the generation ending in 1972. I think better days were just around the corner with the Panthers.

Too bad it has a 400 and not the 460…those 351M/400 “335” engines were horrible. The 460 was unstoppable.

It's the trim level. Take it up with Ford for the inaccuracy.
Um no...The LTD Landau was an actual model made by Ford starting in 1975. The last LTD Landau was built in 1979 (On the Panther platform)
