Thanks for the comment! I have a Sabrent dock on the way in addition to the docks shown in this video, once that arrives I’ll do a video on how they all perform.
Thanks for the comment! I’m glad you’re getting something out of them, I had the idea for the channel after trying without any luck to find a video on a game I was thinking of buying but wasn’t sure how it would run. Building from that I thought people might also like to know what it’s actually like to travel with these things.
I know this video is old but i have a 14.5 hr flight coming up and a couple long road trips and thought about buying a steam deck, super confused wether i spend extra on oled or not though but this video has put me super at ease about the flight and battery lasting the time i want to spend on it thank you.
Glad it helped! I’ve had a few things going on so haven’t been active on TH-cam but will start up again soon. I’ve got both the original and oled steam deck, honestly you can’t go wrong with either. Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the comment! More are on the way. I’m working on a Hogwarts Legacy comparison at the moment and I’ll have a review of the docks I own on the way as well. I’m trying get one video a week out :).
Great vid! I got the tomtoc soft case which is great for travel as it’s substantially thinner than the standard case and takes up less space in my backpack
I really like the Steam Deck and if you're in the US you can get it a lot cheaper than we can in Australia. I'd say go for it! There are always good sales on Steam so you'll be able to start building a good library of games if you don't already have one. Older titles especially usually run well and if you're on a budget these are usually the games that are on sale as well.
Thank you for this! I also travel for work in the same manner and will be picking up the steam deck for the same reason. How to you pack all of the gear you bring?
Thanks so much for the comment! Most of what you see fits in my backpack. I found a great travel backpack on Amazon, I just searched for laptop backpack and there was a brand called KROSER that had a great backpack at around $60 AUD. When I’m boarding the plane I just carry the Steam Deck in my hands with it in its case, my headphones and the usb-c cable fit in the pouch behind the steam deck case and the power-bank actually fits in most of my jeans/pants pockets believe it or not. The rest just goes into my backpack along with my work laptop and portable laptop screen.
Great quick video! You mentioned having multiple docks and I would be interested in a video running through them. Cheers!

These are great videos - really love seeing all the real world use of these devices. Very to-the-point and informative

Awesome video man! So glad I got a Steam Deck...haven't travelled with it yet and I almost always have it plugged in.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it! It travels really well and you can get some pretty decent battery life out of it depending on the game.
Great stuff. Thanks

Thanks! I’ve been looking at some of the tomtoc cases, have you been happy with the quality?
