Where exactly did you inject voltage / check the short? its kind of hard to tell because there's no close up of the probe when you are testing. I can tell the general area, but not the exact pad

For me I have sp4 i7 the ec provide 3.3v but when I check small transistor there is short circuit on it any idea sur

Connect 1v on the short circuit, then use a thermal imager to view

First,Did you find which circuit is shorted?

When I put chargeur I find on it 3.31v but one I remove it it's short circuit
I checked the eprom line 1 to 3 I find 3.34v
On the small fuse near cpu 8.71v
There's something I don't understand if you clear me
For this surface I don't have battery the charger Diode give 11.71v in one side but other side 0v
Is it correct

What do you think my surace laptop 3 can charing battery, and working with cable, batttery is 100% , and i changed it for new battery, but imedatly turn off my laptop, wern remove charching cable. ijf i try starting witout charching cable, just 1 secound wokr.
I can see just one battery dirver, the surface battery, it is new celan install. Maybe motherboard problem?

I have an MS Surface Pro 3. The original charger is 12V 2.58Amp (36W). Can I charge the computer with the charger from the MS Surface 7, which has a 15V 4Amp (65W) charger? Won't the difference in voltage cause damage? Has anyone tried charging like this before?
