In the UK we have a huge 'talking' culture, which basically is you're getting to know each other, going on dates but you're not exclusive unless that's been confirmed n talked about lol, often people will "talk' for months before getting together officially or just talk and never end up official :) we use the phrase "we're talking" to mean we're flirting and speaking daily hahah
Totally! I used to say I was “seeing someone” or we were dating but not in a relationship. I feel like back home I used to talking to people for ages and then it would just never go anywhere here. It’s like 3 dates and then they try to make it official!! 😅 it stresses me out lol

I don’t know, maybe from the k dramas, we get the idea they are super romantic and stuff! In my culture we are super touchy, like hugs and kisses and such, but I just can’t seem to understand how “distant” or “cold” jajaja I can’t find another word jaja are when it comes to dating in real life jaja
I haven't really dated anyone who was distant or cold, but there has definitely been a change in how much physical affection I show in public nowadays! lol
I think Korean guys are just as good or bad to marry as any other men. But, in terms of settling here - I dont know if I will ever settle anywhere. Travelling is in my blood. Dont plan on being anywhere for more that 7-9 years!
Have you been on any dates with other non-Koreans while you’ve been over there? Just curious to know what that sort of scene is like Do you know if Hinge is used commonly there? And finally, just for social activity, are there some good groups on Facebook or maybe Meetup there that you could recommend? :)
I have definitely been on dates with other non-Koreans as well. They've been North American so far, so even though we're here, we date the same way we would at home. Hinge is not popular here. I would say tinder is number one and then there are a few people on Bumble too. Most neighborhoods have their own Facebook group to connect foreigners. If you try searching wherever you are going to live + social club. You'll probably find people to link up with!🤗 I hope that was helpful!
