One thing I want to mention for those of you wondering about the ghosting thing. They will literally go as far as plan out things with you even though they have it in their mind that they don't want to see you anymore. Like I've had guys, to my face say, "let's go out to dinner." Then completely ghost me the next day. Yes, it's this harsh.

I think this just happened to me 🤣😂 made plans yesterday to meet up this weekend. And then no reply on my last message for a day, which is weird because he usually texts me everyday.

Hi, I'm a Korean guy, and I just want to say, the ghosting thing is not ok and is not the norm. I know everyone I know (who's Korean) will say that's messed up and the guy is trash for doing that. Maybe, it's the younger generation? But, I'm not that old (just turned 30), and I know everyone around me will disapprove of that as irresponsible. That said, I've heard from others that the younger Korean generation is more inconsiderate and narcissistic in general, so maybe it's become more of a norm to do that kind of thing. Idk... I'm a bit shocked that it's a thing.

I totally understand that everyone is different but I’ve experienced ghosting in Korea too and that was not young guys but 34-35 years old men. So, maybe, this is more common that it seems for you

@@katyakaboom Hmm, maybe so. I just haven't really seen that happening much around me. Anyways, sorry that's happened to you.

@@katyakaboom1 year ago, but will reply to you. I have the same experience as you. Get ghosted by Korean men. I met a korean man, and he even planned out a date then next day, he no longer text me.

Even though I don’t intend to move to Korea, I found this to be very interesting! Here in Latinoamérica I feel like the dating culture is more similar to the US and UK, but has some tiny aspects from Korea.
On the ghosting theme, whaaat! That’s so weird 🤣 Usually ghosting occurs after a big discussion or argument here 😅😅
Well, this was quite different from your skincare videos, but truth be told, I enjoyed it as much as those 😁😁

Totally agree with you, it's the same in the UK/US in my experience too- someone will ghost you after an argument or when the relationship is filtering away- not completely randomly! I'm so glad you enjoyed this different type of video! I'm going to be branching out a little in my future videos, do you think people will like it if I make more content similar to this? Thank you for your support- it means the world!

Tinder in London too... Is just hookup...I am saying that being a Londoner. I mean, I signed up, got my inbox on fire... Only to realise 'your place or mine'

As a Korean guy, it doesn’t necessarily happen to only foreigners, Koreans do ghost Koreans, and it is quite a thing. I can provide u the reasoning, first scenario would be the person find better one than u, second one would be the person finds that you are not the match but don’t want to say it, and the last one is the person is exhausted arguing during the relationship or even in a dating so don’t wanna hold a single second to articulate the word can avoid conflicts and saying we’re over.

I think the worst way you can end a relationship is by giving no closure. Ghosting is very damaging to the psyche.

Exactly like whats happening to me now, we dated with my Korean Girlfriend for 9 months here in PH but we had a misunderstanding then saddenly she is just seeing my message in Instagram and my vid calls. And its not about cheating why we fight or money, its painful and damaging don't keep leave someone hanging, so i decided from yesterday i will respect myself cause i already did my part from reaching out.

I live in Uk and I met this guy (he was Asian but not Korean) and all I heard constantly was how happy he was because I was European (you know tall , blonde). I don’t think he cared that long a girl was European... I went on like 1 date and decided I can’t deal with it. Two weeks after in his social media he kept posting pics with a new European trophy

Oh lord. This made me laugh... a few years ago (I’m Canadian btw), I was working for my university’s international department. There was a summer English language program and we had students from all over come - including Korea. I liked the Korean guys - they were funny and shared cool games, and I was interested in learning about Korea from them. At the end of the program, there was a party and there was some drinking involved, but I didn’t really think anything of it at the time since everyone was present. The students were living in the empty dorms (town house style) and I went into the Korean’s dorm (there was other people there) but they basically denied entrance to my male friend and the younger male student. I didn’t really understand what was happening so I went out to the porch and I was talking with all of them, and laughing and all of a sudden I felt someone kissing my cheek. I was a little out of it obviously but kind of stiffened - it was the Korean guy lol... I was like oh my lord what is happening 😂 it was so awkward too because it was in front of multiple people and obviously some lines had been crossed. Then when he left, he got me to download the Kakao app and was sending me mad pictures of his travel back home - like him standing in front of a business, or a statue or something... and then one day without warning (so he’s back in Korea now) he tried face timing me when he was out hanging out with his friends 🤯 LOL I declined, I didn’t mean to be rude but I was like what is going on here... now I’m thinking he interpreted some things very differently than I did

Feel a 'pressure' of your dating partner to spend more time with you is real. Hmmm! How about just voicing it out loud to them? Will it be the end...or perhaps the beginning!

I'm getting sick of the excuse "homogeneous country" when people talk about some asian countries and their aproach to foreigners.
I'm from eastern europe, small country, literally as homogeneous as it gets...98% of the population is white catholic, the rest is mostly chinese, korean, japanese and some middle eastern recently, and I see like one black person a year lmao... but we treat all people the same. I would never forbid a foreigner to enter a club, I would never date foreigner just for the sake of dating a foreigner, I would never spit on them, I would never sit far from them on a train, I would RENT THEM AN APARTMENT like a normal person (I'm talking about you Japan here)...I can go on and on about this man. That excuse is getting old.
