Thank you posting all of these videos: I’m loving the channel 😃
These things are really making sense to me. “What you practise over and over again” then the brain things it’s correct - so if I keep “practising” falling off the balance beam, then I will “get good at it” 🤔 which I don’t want….
Quality exercise it is, then!!
I'm so happy you are here, and that you are enjoying the content🧡
Absolutely brillant! All great information but the neuroplasticity tips are fantastic! Thanks Dr. Gretchen! We need to keep moving to keep moving!
Thank you! I'm so glad that you found this video informative and helpful!☺️
Thank you! I thought 💭 if I skipped a night of stretching I wasn’t going to get better. I went from walking my whole life to Covid 5x with boosters to walking on stilts (my legs) and not leaving my house since 2021.
Great video.
thanks !
Love this! Give examples of 'functional' exercises please!
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! There are many examples through other videos on my page, but I would encourage you to check out today's video release! I posted a weekly class I host that is all functional exercises☺️
Makes perfect sense!!!
Excellent video Dr Gretchen, I’ve just upped my game today with new (for me) cardio. This video has reminded me to keep up my functional exercises 👏
That's wonderful! I'm so glad you found this video helpful!
Very useful as always, thank you. Your dog is so cute!
I'm so glad you found this useful! And thank you ☺ He's a keeper!
Thanks Dr Gretchen you are so positive and inspiring since enjoying zoom 1-1 with you in February I am doing my spasticity stretches and functional exercises 6 times a week and massive improvements 🙏 😊
That's wonderful news, Sally! I'm so glad you are feeling hope, and found consistency!☺️
Thanks for sharing
You're very welcome!

Haha I’m glad you think so! Thanks for the feedback!
Thanks. Excellent info.
Just one question. I asked my physio when working on one leg balancing and sometimes flapped like a bird to keep balance, how did neuroplasticity work so that my brain did not think I wanted to be a bird? She said brain also works for efficiency of movement. My flutters have calmed down and I can often balance nearly 30 sec with minimal movement.
Interested to see what is remembered when I get out of my moonboot. Slipped on huge nut and tore tendons and broke ankle bone (nonsurgical).
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video, and found it helpful! The brain is absolutely amazing, isn't it?! I'm glad to hear that your accident didn't require surgery! Wishing you a speedy recovery🧡
I wonder if noticing and saying to your self when you are moving with good quality …”that’s great” I wonder if that helps your brain to focused on good movement…
Speaking positively to ourselves is always beneficial!
Functional exercise for getting up off of the floor? Any suggestions?
I am actually releasing a podcast episode on this topic next week - Wednesday. You can find it on all streaming platforms by searching "The MSing Link"!☺️
Your dog is my brain ❤😂
hahaha that's Finn! He's the best cuddler and snoozes a lot!
If I cannot exercise a movement with quality, I should avoid that movement (or my brain will think: this bad quality is what he wants...). So I don't exercise e.g. lifting my foot. Is my brain not thinking: ah, he doesn't want to lift his foot anymore?
🙏🏼🤍🦋
Thank you so much for the support on this video!
Um, I'm fatigued 24/7.
It may seem counterintuitive, but some light exercise can actually help improve energy levels! However, the challenge of beginning when feeling fatigued can be extremely difficult.
I really enjoy your videos but I think you’ve just been upstaged by your dog 🐕 🤣
haha! He is quite the co-star I must admit!🧡
5-6 days a week? I’ll have a day of rest, then 👍😃
Absolutely! All bodies need some time to recooperate!☺️
