- If you visit a casino enough and use your player's card, you will eventually start to get some free play. But, is there a right and wrong way to use it? We discuss that in today's tip!

I won at MGM high limit Pinball. It was a gamble, but paid off. I did a few back ups and left. The employee was so happy for me. No guts no glory! I know it was just timing and luck.
Don't worry about freeplay much anymore because MGM is so nasty with cutting back on amounts! Only free is comped rooms and small amount food comp. Will try Fremont street.
MGM has definitely gotten stingy. Venetian is still OK and the Palms has been great. But even they have reduced my comps.

Awesome! I just did a comment recently on how i do free play. I have $110 free play and do a low volatile 1 pay line 2 credit max with $2 denom $4 a spin. For every win or bet back i cash out my ticket and only use free play down to $0 i will not use winnings to $0 same day. I will save the winnings for a promo weekend at the casino. What prompted this thought is when you and Marc played $10 $1.25 a bet and cashed out your winnings. "You end up with more than you think" thanks again for the tips!
I always use my free play on video poker. I typically turn at least half my free play into cash, then i grab a drink and decide what I'm going to do next.
Your first point is exactly how I use my free play. I use it just like cash from my pocket. BUT I do use it FIRST. There was an ald myth that Free Play is treated different by the machine than cash. I now know that is wrong as I have never had that experience proven.
Thanks for the info. For a long time I've wondered what was the best strategy for 'free play'. Sometime go for the big payback and other times I go for the mid range. Now I know the best way to use it.
My freeplay is usually about 100. I usually triple it to 300. Then play the 100 "house money" and keep the 200. It works more often than not. I have my secrets and I dont want to tell anyone in case casinos magically fix their slot machines.
More often than not, I go to the casino with no money. I show up when they give me free play and I have time and time again been able to take out up to $100 from my FreePlay. If I lose my free play, I leave. I don’t know many people that show up to the casino with no money and leave with money, but I do that consistently
That amount of free play drops if you do not put any fresh cash in.
I was going to say you have to be putting money in to be getting 100 dollars in free play .....
Every casino I have been in requires you to put cash in to activate the free play, so I am not sure how you can use your FP without putting in $5 at least?
Also, freeplay is not rated play (it gives you no credit for the action) - It will only credit you the winnings from it that you play back through.
Lastly, I got $100 FP from a casino I have not been to in a while, and I stopped there and played through it, and turned it in to $150 in real cash. I left and did not return for 6 months, and that was the last FP offer I received for that 6 months.
In month 7, I stated seeing offers for $20 and then in month 9 (where I am at now) the offers have went back up to $30
This casino used to give me about $600 per month ($150 per week) when I was visiting it 4-5 times per year. Once I stopped going and was visiting another brand, they clamped the offers.
I have no idea how you are continuing to get offers without putting new action through the machines, unless perhaps you are talking about the $5 or $10 offers each quarter they give to most anyone that has played there in the past. - If that is it, drive on! (I wish I had the discipline to visit for the small offers and not put my own cash in)
Something here doesn't add up. You must be putting money in the machines to be getting $100's of free play. The casinos don't hand out free play for nothing. I can think of only one reason why they would give you $100 of freeplay. This happened to me just recently. Many years ago, probably 10 or 12 years ago I went to a Casino out of State only one time. I was on vacation & stopped in. For some odd reason I recently received in the mail an offer to come back. They offered me $120 of free play and a free nights stay at their hotel. I have till June to accept their offer.
I thought that if you ONLY play the Casino free play & nothing else, then your offers will definitely begin to "drop", because they see you're not spending ANY money??? 🤔
I usually play my freeplay on $5 denom machines. Won $4000 on the 5th or 6th bet at Aria one time. I usually cash out when I convert the freeplay to cash. Hit and run!! 🤣

We don't get much free $$ but when we do we cash out any winnings over $1 as they come. That way we walk away with CASH to keep or play with later. The FREE $$ really does become FREE CASH in our pockets. This keeps us from possibly losing any gains we make playing the free $$.
Everyone has an opinion. You do what's good for you. There are no sure fire ways for winning. There is a sure fire way of not losing.
Most of my free play comes from promos like a wheel spin. Let's say I'm going to go to two promos in a week, I'll avoid using the first free play so I'll have two free plays to use later. Like if i win $25 one visit then $50 next visit I'll have $75 and usually $5 next day play from the first visit. I can usually do some something with $80.
Just an FYI though, the promo free play i get is only good for 72 hours so I can't always stack it.
For free play, i hit that cash out button for any win so only free play remains in the machine. My cash out machines take up to 10 vouchers so there is no issue cashing them all in.

That's SMART! What I do with my vouchers at the end is to put them in the machine I'm playing and cash out for one ticket. This makes it quicker at the cash-out machine. Now if I can resist the urge to play it back. LOL.
@@StanTheDegenerateGamblerTHANK YOU for doing it this way. I actually hate when people load like 8 vouchers into the redemption machine, each one for like 38 cents, 52 cents, $1.21...like come on, half the bill break machines aren't working and there's a line a mile long behind these people
@@StanTheDegenerateGambler I put money in my gamble box when I'm ahead and in my right mind. I also have to keep enough money to do the next promo. Since it's $500 coin in then I like to have that amount on me just in case and it's a whole lot easier on me to leave with like $450 for next time then add $50 instead of having to get $500 in fresh cash.

I have the habit of "saving" my free play, for last! Does anyone else do this too? I dont use it first as soon as I go in, I prefer to keep my Free Play as a "back up", for when my cash money runs low!!! lol

Where have you found a 9/6 pay table? The best we’ve found is 9/5 on $1 denom.

Today coyote moon delux was $2750 away from winning $200 must hit by. I put $50 free slot play to get it closer. That $50 free play not only took me the whole way up to the must hit by, i cashed out with $284. By far the best run on free slot play ever. I only use free slot play on coyote moon, lobster larry, $ storm must hit by. I almost always turn free play into profit.
I try to get 20-30 spins for my freeplay depending on the volatility of the machine. If I play Pinball or maybe Top Dollar I can try for less spins and a higher denomination than maybe a higher volatility machine.
fantastic tip on freeplay love it.can you answer sommit on my mind please regarding mgm i just noticed my coin in of my latest trip looks high compared to the tier credits i received,is coin in on the statement same as what we actually play on a slot?im sure it is not as we could just deposit into a slot lets say 100 and then take it out without playing any of it and we would have 100 in coin in on statement is that correct? i know we get 4 tier credits per dollar played in a slot but my latest statement shows 12,000 tier credits but my coin in on statement shows 30,000. so going by these numbers am i right in saying i played 3000 through a slot to get the 12,000 tier credits and the 30,000 coin in is not something the company looks at?
I play .38 bets on 88 fortunes and hope to get $30 hits. AND I do get them a lot. :) (only have $20 free play FYI)
When I get free play, I go to the high limit. One time was $175 I played pinball.. $5 bet 3 credit.. hit pinball win $800, another time $250 I played the $5 bet 5 lines hit $625.. then I put almost money away and play less then $200 for fun.. because those high limit I don’t play with cash because it kind run fast…sometimes I feel if I play $3 bet in a machine, end up lose it , even I make even, not going to have profits..maybe I just so lucky the two times I had large amount of free play…forget about the $15 freeplay….it won’t work anything for you..I like to win money first and relax and knowing I am winning …instead each hundred going to the machine and nothing come out or win little bit here or there eventually back to the slots…

We get $300 dollars every week at wendover Nevada and we just put all in one machine . One thing I learn about free play. It’s better to put it in one machine then do a little bit there and there . I do much better now 😎🤑

Go down till you feel comfortable and are getting a good number of spins. $2 and $3 spins are still very good with $125 free play

Don't ever play any machine other than Douche's wild video poker.I'd say almost every time I get a minimum of seventy five percent or better in cash from the Freeplay a lot of times I get over a hundred percent

I've come to the same conclusion. I used to use my free play on $1 Denom., $2 Max Bet to get as many spins. (Yes, I know $1 spins would give more spins, but...) In the last 6 months, I've switched to $1 denom with 5 lines, $5 Max Bet and have improved my bankroll! Great minds think alike! 😉😉😉 Actually, your video today confirms my changed use of free play.
A "right and wrong way to use Free Play"? You are here to help folks become a better gambler are you? Which Casino do you work for? A "better Gambler" is one who only plays with money they can afford to lose. A "better gambler", knows that Slot Machines aren't called "One Armed Bandits" for nothing. A "really good gambler" knows that even in the so-called games of skill, like Black Jack, the House always has better odds of winning than you do. To summarise: Play your "Free Play" in whatever way makes you happy.
Our free play is only $5 or $10 even if you run $1000 of my money through the machines. Casinos here just do not give a lot of free play. Not sure why.
Yes, me too. I get $5 a week probably because I don't spend that much, am more a casual gambler. I try and low roll the free play that I do get to make it last
