I was playing penny dragon link for .50 a spin. Got down to .12 and hit the lucky chance spin. Not only did it give me the spin, but it dropped 6 balls - one was the major. Total bonus for a .12 cent spin? $630.00!
What do you mean put in less than what the bet is for? I thought the machine wouldn’t spin on less than the bet amount. Please explain for beginner. Thank you!
@@1001efloreswhen you have less then the minimum bet amount left, it gives you the option to take the remaining money you have to put into one last spin
You said a long time ago, with Brantley... "Don't feed the Dragons or feed the pigs." I remembered that and never do. I also learned my lesson on Firecrackers. I don't like Frankenstein either. On that game, when they show demo... you will NEVER get as many heads as the demo shows.

For me, that'll help me to keep my composure while playing it so that I won't forget all of the tips you mentioned ==> I won't lose that quickly/I go home with some money in my pocket. More "Nerd Alert" please. Thank You!
I love Dragon Link. One of my favorites, top 3 type of Series. Got a lot of great times on them. I only got the 250x ball once, and of all bets on a $50.00 bet, which I rarely ever wager. I was stunned more than excited to see a $12,500 ball on the screen. Good ol Autumn Moon. Got a Major on a $0.50 bet on Golden Gong as well that was $544. Maybe having these type of moments are why I have that love for Dragon Link. I never got the Grand, but I did get a trifecta of Mini, Minor and Major on Panda Magic once on 10c Denom for a Handpay. Oh yeah, the video...(too much reminising) thanks for the information. I had heard about the blank square before, but it was nice to hear it from someone official. I never knew each space has its own reel on the Spin & Win. Thats cool.
I stayed away from Dragons link at first due to all the volatility warnings but now I win more often on Dragon and Lightning link than any other type of machine on 5, 10 and $1 denom.
Not only the Major, but also the Grand Jackpot can be won in any game, even if you are not in the Hold&Spin Bonus. However, the Major and the Grand can only be won once in a game. The Grand Jackpot is linked to a bank of machines, but the Major Jackpot is not. This can lead to the crazy situation where two players are in a Hold&Spin feature at the same time and reach 15 balls, but only the lucky, faster player gets the $20,000+ jackpot and the other player gets the reset value of $10,000 only.
Hi Marc! Great explanation of Dragon Link! I did go back and look at my video where I won the grand and there were empty spaces on each spin except the last round of spins. Both spaces had balls and they both hit on the same spin. I didn’t even notice this until you said that about the blank spaces. But you made me look! 😊 I also didn’t know there was a random grand!! Thanks for your content!!! 🍀🍀🍀
i play the lucky chance spin sometimes exclusively when playing this game. i make a bunch of tickets for $1-$4 and try random bets for more than what I put in. i’ve done very well playing that way and it’s a fun way to bet high without actually doing so!
On the orb value size (1x to 250x), I like the bucket of ping pong balls analogy. My counter argument would be that the games seem to be teasing a LOT more lately. If you get 3, 4, or 5 orbs they are likely to be very large multiples. If/ when you DO get a bonus, you're much more likely to get 1x and 2x orbs.
coders put so many near misses in the cycle ,do not pay any attention to what you see on the screen , a near miss is no different than zero ,1,2,3 or four orbs they are 100% misses on the virtual reel and always will be ,conversely no one argues that if they had one less orb they had a near miss of not getting a bonus and why would they beause 6 orbs is 100% a bonus on the virtual reel ,each random number is coded to run a program for that number ,the simplest being a no win
Totally agree!! During the regular play, you can get a very large amount orb, but of course you won’t get enough orbs to get the bonus. Then if you do get the bonus, you won’t see that big amount orb again. It’s all in the software programming to tease in order to keep you playing.
It should be pointed out the probability for each reel is fixed throughout the bonus. They are shuffled, but the probabilities go with the reel. If you need 5 reels to fill, the probabilities might be 1/3, 1/5, 1/10, 1/15, 1/100,000 (all made up numbers). If you land only that low probability 1/100,000 reel on your next spin, no other real will assume that probability. Your remaining four reels will be 1/3, 1/5, 1/10, and 1/15. This is very unlikely though, which is why you normally end with the "blank" reel at the end if you get the other 14. In the same way, if you land that 1/3 reel, no reel will become 1/3 to replace it.
I have always won something on the Dragon Link games... It is my go to either when I get to the casino or before I leave. I played the lower bets in the past but have now moved up to the $5 bets and will move into the $1 denoms. Love this game. It almost never lets me down. Thanks for the info.
Love Dragon Link... I regularly change denomination and bet level when playing, the logical part of me, knows this does nothing, but the gambler in me says it seems to work. My wife hit a major, on like a $2 bet, and had three spins with the final ball showing for the grand just last weekend... that was exciting!
My fiancé and I are headed to Vegas this weekend and this is my favorite game. I loved how you explained how it works, even during "Nerd Alert" portion (math WAS my favorite subject)...lol. 😂.
Thanks Marc! Really valuable tips for those who like to play _Dragon Link,_ including myself. 👌 Although, I *may* need to rewatch this at least half a dozen times to fully grasp everything that you're saying... got to put my NERD cap on for this one, methinks! 😂
Problem he only explained one free games bonus. There is 5 different free games bonus two examples is genghis khan is normal reels but the wilds are 2x, panda magic have premium symbols in their bonus only and autumn moon have opening doors. He just explained the worst free games bonus out of them all and one that isn't in million dollar dragon link. They only get the premium symbol and open door free game bonus
Great explanation. I do love playing these and have hit several majors and a grand in high limit room. It's all about timing and knowing when to walk away.
On the original dragon Links there are actually two different type of bonuses you can get when you get the three matching symbols depending on which variant of the machine. One is the big large square in the middle you were talking about and the other is there will be symbols that are covered and when the reels stop they will flip open to reveal what's behind them. I refer to them as flippy doors. Lol. An example of that type would be ones called Autumn Moon and Golden Century. I prefer those and skip the ones I know have the large square in the middle. They just don't seem to do as well in that particular bonus. I like the surprise element of the flippy doors. Lol
btw, I got a random major once. It was on the general room economy dragon link where bets start at .50 cent . I've hit a 10K maxed out major on the middle machines. but never on the million dollar machine where bets start at $25 dollars. I find the million dollar dragon links are very tough.
Well..just last week I played one of the link games and came down to the 15th square with ball passing through every spin. It was very tense. I could hear my heart pounding. But in the end, nothing landed in that square 😅 The tease is real 😢
If I've read the game rules correctly on the Lucky Chance spin the odds are the percent of the amount you put in compared to the bet you select. Examples: $1 -> $10 spin = 10% chance. $0.14 -> $0.50 spin = 24% chance. $0.78 -> $25 spin = 3.12% chance (friend of mine hit this AND got the Hold & Spin!)
Thank you Marc, good content as always. You didn't answer though - why is everyone obsessed with Dragon Link?? Seriously, always busy with campers. Good job on the orb "being there". I did learn that recently but honestly until you win a grand by it being all filled up regardless of bet amount i think it is hard to believe it is possible. Well, just speaking for myself.
I can ' t help myself, I always want to play the dragon links. I was down $600 for the day. Playing a Dragon link down to $2. Hit hold and spin 6 balls including the major for a little over $600 walked away with $650.
If you are playing Dragon Link and see some large amounts balls shoot by...( a tease)....immediately increase your bet to as large as you can...and the feature may come with those large amounts ..i have done and won several times..
I remember getting both bonuses on the same spin and seeing others get it to but havent seen that in a long time. Seems like the games hits less bonuses than what it felt like it use to.
Ttied a d tested.. hold and spin feature vomes up averaging 60 to 80 spins. Regardless of how much you bet. Only difference is the multiplier are less with less bet / lines.. but your change of getting mini / major / jackpot r thr same.
Great collection of games behind you, by the way. Some day, I hope to have a few retired slots in my garage to casually play, and most of those are high on the list!
hi Marc, i love your information. I subbed to Brantly and happy to have discovered your channel. my question is, I'm a fan of Buffalo Gold & Ascension. do you have in-depth information on those slots too? thank you
Great video. Very in depth information on the game. Re the "hard square" on the hold and spin. Catching the hard one then not being able to catch the 14 "easy" ones....arrrrrrrrrgh lol
They are not equally easy. Some reels are more likely to land an orb than others. The most likely outcome is that the harder ones will be at the end even if you land the nearly impossible one before the final few reels are left.
Hey Marc and Dave, I wanted to ask some questions about all things bingo machines! Does changing the bet size in a bingo machine change the machine similar to changing denoms on a multi-denom slot machine? (Ie changing from $1, $3 max bet down to $2, .25, $1.25 max bet down to $1.00, etc. How do you bet on a 9 line bingo machine correctly? Last time I went over to a casino there is a 9 line bet and the rest of the buttons showed max bet. I walked away cause i was worried I would spend my whole bankroll on just a single spin or two. I know it can be confusing so any help you guys can give in helping us understand bingo machines would be awesome! Maybe even a comprehensive guide on it with discussions from a bingo slot tech?
This is my hail Mary play. Was down 300 on my last 100 put it in dragon link $1 demon, 5 bet, hit for $1070. Moved machines tried 10c denom $5 bet for another $350
So if 9 spots in the middle during bonus H&S can be only 5x it means we are at disadvantage compare to other games where each square gets its own number at least 1x during H&S
Thanks for helpful info however a lot of casino machines will not except one dollar bills. So you will have to put small tickets into machine to get that lucky chance.
But how does it scale the odds based on higher wagers? The rules state your odds of hitting the Grand, Major Minor or Mini will improve proportional to your wager size. How do they do this. Does it pick from different reel maps or does it weight the reels differently based on the wager size?
Love your channel, and followed you here and on Cowboy for awhile. Based on your past comments about "anything with dragon in the name", I fully expected this to be a really short video. Start playing the video, Mark comes on and says "they suck, don't play them. Don't even look at them! ". 😂
Never happened to me but every visit I'm ready for a Grand moment! Dropped 5gs on lightning 2 weeks ago, perhaps next Thursday will be different. Will semi max bet on 5c.
At the Resorts Casino in Atlantic City a few years on a $5 bet, I filled the screen with the orbs and won the Grand Jackpot. Total win was $11,323. I play the Dragon Links and the Lightning Links quite often. I've only hit the Grand that one time. I did hit the random Major 2 times. The first time I got the random Major, I had no idea what happened.
The last time I saw a hand pay on this game, the guy was playing $10 a hand. So I don’t know how much he had played into the machine before getting there.
I’ve been watching some videos of people winning the grand and it doesn’t appear to be true what you said - I still noticed the blank square moving around and in the video they won the grand 🤔
Excellent video Marc, how do this reconcile to where I have seen a square on dragon link with nothing showing as it spun by, but a final ball appeared in that window and grand was won .Maybe this was one of the instances where the probability was extremely low vs when it goes by.
I won 15k grand on a $5 bet. What I saw is. I had 1 ball to get and the box was spinning with a lot of balls in it. I knew I was going to get it as I always see no balls when I need 1.
Hi Ia from the UK, we have roulette machines un bookmakers that are supposed to be random, how is it that it will always produce numbers that are relative to the players choice, ie next door to one of the very few numbers covered or covering 1 2 3 and 4 and it lands on 5 thanks
Does stopping the reels change anything during the ball bonus? You hear slapper doing the woodpecker thing during the ball bonus, does it even make a difference?
if bonus spins are random then how is it when machine stops during bonus round that they pay out the value of the random number that triggered the bonus ,i have seen this a few times.
Lets say...I won 200 times my bet on a $3.75 bet......the machine will want that money if I stay longer.......now......if I take my ticket out and I put it back in......will the machine resets or do the machine recognize that ticket and STILL want the money back?
There are no resets and the machine doesn’t behave differently due to past results. This is a very common belief, but it’s not true. Each spin is a separate event.
@@GambleSmart Thank you......but as you say in other videos.....if we stay long we will lose......but how is it possible that a machine gets "cold" after a big jackpot??? Just wondering
It doesn’t intentionally do that, your brain is just making that connection. It’s called confirmation bias - we all have it. Your brain is seeking out patterns and in your case has made a connection that machines stop paying after a jackpot. But, in reality, that’s not what is going on and plenty of people have hit back to back jackpots before.
Is it more beneficial to bet a lower bet on a higher denomination or a higher bet on a lower one? like 100 credits on $2 denomination or 200 credits on $1 denomination. Same bet but on different denominations
On Machines like these, the larger amount of money you bet increases your odds of hitting the grand. Betting Max Bet at any denom increases the chance of bigger denom orbs hitting rhe screen, including rhe mini, minor orbs etc. Min betting a denom makes the chances of the 250x orb of being very small. So if you are max betting $25 on dimes or min betting $25 on dollars, your chances at the grand are the same but you will get bigger bonus orbs in the hold and spin on dimes but the line pays on dollars are probably more.
One of the things I've always wondered on dragon link is when you switch denoms the screen graphics change does that mean each denom has its own rng it pulls from? So is switchinging denoms like switching machines?
Yes. Each denom has its own RNG. Also though, machines can be loose or tight; and also have cold and hot cycles. I find thru my experience at my local casino that DL runs hot or cold. If I get nothing after 10 spins, I change machines.
Bummer, I was playing Dragon Cash last week and I had every ball except one, and the one had an orb in it. Did I get the Grand? NO! I was so sure I had it when there was an orb present...Nope :(
Hi Marc. All the links, to me, are chasers and I don't like that. But the great idea of using all those tickets you wind up with that hv a little amount on and trying to get a spin on a link is definitely worth a try. And I'm going to try that next time. You always hv something interesting to tell us. Thank you!😊
I usually when i get the cowbell of poverty will change my bet to higher and have gotten lucky chance a few times at a bigger bet but never really hit anything on those lucky spins.

I usually use my free play on dragon. I like .50 denomination $25 a spin sometimes $37.50. If I don’t hit nothing with the FP and the $300 I put In I leave. These machines will suck cash as Vegas Matt will show you.
Mathematics are crazy. This particular slot game could be set to the lowest legal RTP percentage and still end up paying out more cash than unknown slot game running max RTP percentage next to it.
Slot Tech, ON new HYPERCHARGED SLOT. THE MINI, MINOR, MAJOR ORBS, DOES NOT CHANGE TO A LESSER AMOUNT, SO WHY WOULD ONE GRAND ORB CHANGE TO A PEANUT PAYOUT?
QUESTION why do dragon links hit so often on first spin? Doesnt seem like a RNG to me. Dragon links are some of my favorite games but I do not play them long. I'll max bet a denom for maybe 20 spins or put a small budget on them each session. If they're going to hit they usually hit early on. That's my experience. Fantastic games but I agree they're extremely volatile and I do feel they're programmed to hit early on in the sessions.

So if 9 spots in the middle during bonus H&S can be only 5x it means we are at disadvantage compare to other games where each square gets its own number at least 1x during H&S
Thank you. I filled 14 squares once. I like the game.
😂
😂😂😂
I always wondered which games have that "wager saver" type option!
lady next to me at yamava casino was playing penny denomination 50 cent bet and hit $10k
Never happened to me but every visit I'm ready for a Grand moment!
Dropped 5gs on lightning 2 weeks ago, perhaps next Thursday will be different.
Will semi max bet on 5c.
What is the best bet to play? I have won more on 2 cent denim 3.00 bet than 1.00 or 2.00 denomination.
Doesn't make any difference. Play what your are comfortable with wagering.
@@GambleSmart Thanks for your help.
I've gotten the major with a regular play.
So which slots do you play? Old school three reels?
I've always wondered if the orb bonuses were pre-determined.
This is the game with that multiplier. My bet was never what I thought it would be.
I hit 3 random majors and everytime I hit the grand I seen the flash except for once it flashed the last one and didn’t land !
Yes, even though you don't see it doesn't mean it's not possible. It's just that the chances are lower.
You mentioned that you don't play Dragon Link, so which games do you play or recommend?
Which type of slot do you recommend? Newbie here
I got a random major on autumn moon , that’s for the info
I won 15k grand on a $5 bet. What I saw is. I had 1 ball to get and the box was spinning with a lot of balls in it. I knew I was going to get it as I always see no balls when I need 1.
I need tips for playing Fantastic Jackpot Hits etc and Lightning link
Hi Ia from the UK, we have roulette machines un bookmakers that are supposed to be random, how is it that it will always produce numbers that are relative to the players choice, ie next door to one of the very few numbers covered or covering 1 2 3 and 4 and it lands on 5 thanks
Which one is less volatile? Golden century, panda or autumn moon?
They are all the same
I don't have the patience to play fire Link! There are other machines that pay me alot of money. 🎉🎉🎉🎉❤
Thanks for the video
Does stopping the reels change anything during the ball bonus? You hear slapper doing the woodpecker thing during the ball bonus, does it even make a difference?
Makes absolutely no difference.
Marc if I have any videos on my channel worth using as an example, feel free to use a clip!
Awesome! Thank you
I’ve hit 4 hand pays on Dragon link this year (12k total), biggest being $5900
Congrats!
How much did you lose tho? I like Dragonlink as well, but these slots eat hella money.
@@tankdathomieI’m up about 9k in total
@@tankdathomie They freaking swallow my money. Will max bet 5c for a grand and see what happens.
if bonus spins are random then how is it when machine stops during bonus round that they pay out the value of the random number that triggered the bonus ,i have seen this a few times.
@@GambleSmart Thank you for replying so fast....! Just because of that I will subscribe to your channel now.!!!
We sure do appreciate you. Hope you enjoy my friend!
Question. If I put a dollar in and do a $5 bet do I get comps for the $5 bet or the dollar I put in?
Just the dollar.
@@monicas-n2jyes that is exactly what he is asking about - the lucky chance spin.
Does a player on new Mach HYPERCHARGED, NEED 3 GRAND OR or just one GRAND which change to another ammount????? R250. payout?
Super interesting today! Thanks
There is always 1 spot empty, it's only after you land that ball that it seems they are then all full. You can watch every video on TH-cam
Question, is the Major or Grand predetermined? also does slapping the buttons have any affect on the spin n hold bonus result?
No, progressives are not predetermined or must hit bus on dragon link or other link games. No, slapping buttons makes no difference.
Great info Marc. Thanks.
Is this the same concept for the fire link games???
Dragon Link and Lighting Link and Fire Link are two I play a lot
my last spin when i won the grand i didn't see anything and then a ball just popped up.
I love the link games yes I know I’m a sucker lol
Sucker me in too! but someday,,,
Bummer, I was playing Dragon Cash last week and I had every ball except one, and the one had an orb in it.
Thank you!😊
Glad you enjoyed
I usually when i get the cowbell of poverty will change my bet to higher and have gotten lucky chance a few times at a bigger bet but never really hit anything on those lucky spins.
Congrats on your 20k+ subscribers Marc & Dave! 🎉🎉🎉 Thanks for this explanation Marc. I love this channel because I can understand 99% of the things you talk about. Also, you guys make me laugh😅 - 😘🍀🍀🍀🌹
Thanks so much!
@@GambleSmart You're very welcome 🌹
I usually use my free play on dragon. I like .50 denomination $25 a spin sometimes $37.50. If I don’t hit nothing with the FP and the $300 I put In I leave. These machines will suck cash as Vegas Matt will show you.
Great info - thanks!
Mathematics are crazy. This particular slot game could be set to the lowest legal RTP percentage and still end up paying out more cash than unknown slot game running max RTP percentage next to it.
Someone hit the 1.7 million grand on dragon link in Tampa Saturday night on the lucky chance spin!!
Thank you
I got the 8K major on a 5cent denom $2.50 bet🎉
Thanks!
Thank you so much for your contribution to our channel. We really appreciate your generosity.
They don’t; your brain just makes that connection and so you only see it that way. :)
