I love Dragon Link. One of my favorites, top 3 type of Series. Got a lot of great times on them. I only got the 250x ball once, and of all bets on a $50.00 bet, which I rarely ever wager. I was stunned more than excited to see a $12,500 ball on the screen. Good ol Autumn Moon. Got a Major on a $0.50 bet on Golden Gong as well that was $544. Maybe having these type of moments are why I have that love for Dragon Link. I never got the Grand, but I did get a trifecta of Mini, Minor and Major on Panda Magic once on 10c Denom for a Handpay.

Problem he only explained one free games bonus. There is 5 different free games bonus two examples is genghis khan is normal reels but the wilds are 2x, panda magic have premium symbols in their bonus only and autumn moon have opening doors. He just explained the worst free games bonus out of them all and one that isn't in million dollar dragon link. They only get the premium symbol and open door free game bonus

On the orb value size (1x to 250x), I like the bucket of ping pong balls analogy. My counter argument would be that the games seem to be teasing a LOT more lately. If you get 3, 4, or 5 orbs they are likely to be very large multiples. If/ when you DO get a bonus, you're much more likely to get 1x and 2x orbs.
coders put so many near misses in the cycle ,do not pay any attention to what you see on the screen , a near miss is no different than zero ,1,2,3 or four orbs they are 100% misses on the virtual reel and always will be ,conversely no one argues that if they had one less orb they had a near miss of not getting a bonus and why would they beause 6 orbs is 100% a bonus on the virtual reel ,each random number is coded to run a program for that number ,the simplest being a no win
Hi Marc! Great explanation of Dragon Link! I did go back and look at my video where I won the grand and there were empty spaces on each spin except the last round of spins. Both spaces had balls and they both hit on the same spin. I didn’t even notice this until you said that about the blank spaces. But you made me look! 😊 I also didn’t know there was a random grand!! Not only the Major, but also the Grand Jackpot can be won in any game, even if you are not in the Hold&Spin Bonus. However, the Major and the Grand can only be won once in a game. The Grand Jackpot is linked to a bank of machines, but the Major Jackpot is not. This can lead to the crazy situation where two players are in a Hold&Spin feature at the same time and reach 15 balls, but only the lucky, faster player gets the $20,000+ jackpot and the other player gets the reset value of $10,000 only.

It should be pointed out the probability for each reel is fixed throughout the bonus. They are shuffled, but the probabilities go with the reel. If you need 5 reels to fill, the probabilities might be 1/3, 1/5, 1/10, 1/15, 1/100,000 (all made up numbers). If you land only that low probability 1/100,000 reel on your next spin, no other real will assume that probability. Your remaining four reels will be 1/3, 1/5, 1/10, and 1/15. This is very unlikely though, which is why you normally end with the "blank" reel at the end if you get the other 14. In the same way, if you land that 1/3 reel, no reel will become 1/3 to replace it.
Great video. Very in depth information on the game. Re the "hard square" on the hold and spin. Catching the hard one then not being able to catch the 14 "easy" ones....arrrrrrrrrgh lol
They are not equally easy. Some reels are more likely to land an orb than others. The most likely outcome is that the harder ones will be at the end even if you land the nearly impossible one before the final few reels are left.
On the original dragon Links there are actually two different type of bonuses you can get when you get the three matching symbols depending on which variant of the machine. One is the big large square in the middle you were talking about and the other is there will be symbols that are covered and when the reels stop they will flip open to reveal what's behind them. I refer to them as flippy doors. Lol. An example of that type would be ones called Autumn Moon and Golden Century. I prefer those and skip the ones I know have the large square in the middle. They just don't seem to do as well in that particular bonus. I like the surprise element of the flippy doors. Lol

At the Resorts Casino in Atlantic City a few years on a $5 bet, I filled the screen with the orbs and won the Grand Jackpot. Total win was $11,323. I play the Dragon Links and the Lightning Links quite often. I've only hit the Grand that one time. I did hit the random Major 2 times. The first time I got the random Major, I had no idea what happened.
One of the things I've always wondered on dragon link is when you switch denoms the screen graphics change does that mean each denom has its own rng it pulls from? So is switchinging denoms like switching machines?
This reminds me of the roulette I played on Hugewin Casino.
I stayed away from Dragons link at first due to all the volatility warnings but now I win more often on Dragon and Lightning link than any other type of machine on 5, 10 and $1 denom.
Just keep in mind that "winning more" might not have much to do with what you're playing and is just an outcome of your behavior. For example, if you playing this game more and making bigger bets, then of course you are going to win more. Not say you would do this, but the flip side of that is when someone stops winning then assume something must have changed. Then that person starts to play a new game and goes on a winning streak....rinse repeat. Streaks will happen but volatility does not change.
Excellent video Marc, how do this reconcile to where I have seen a square on dragon link with nothing showing as it spun by, but a final ball appeared in that window and grand was won .Maybe this was one of the instances where the probability was extremely low vs when it goes by.
Yes, even though you don't see it doesn't mean it's not possible. It's just that the chances are lower.
Is it more beneficial to bet a lower bet on a higher denomination or a higher bet on a lower one? like 100 credits on $2 denomination or 200 credits on $1 denomination. Same bet but on different denominations
btw, I got a random major once. It was on the general room economy dragon link where bets start at .50 cent . I've hit a 10K maxed out major on the middle machines. but never on the million dollar machine where bets start at $25 dollars. I find the million dollar dragon links are very tough.

Love Dragon Link... I regularly change denomination and bet level when playing, the logical part of me, knows this does nothing, but the gambler in me says it seems to work. My wife hit a major, on like a $2 bet, and had three spins with the final ball showing for the grand just last weekend... that was exciting!
As long as your betting within budget and understand every spin is an independent random event, it's fine to do things that you feel makes the game more exciting for you.
Hey Marc and Dave, I wanted to ask some questions about all things bingo machines!
Does changing the bet size in a bingo machine change the machine similar to changing denoms on a multi-denom slot machine? (Ie changing from $1, $3 max bet down to $2, .25, $1.25 max bet down to $1.00, etc.
How do you bet on a 9 line bingo machine correctly? Last time I went over to a casino there is a 9 line bet and the rest of the buttons showed max bet. I walked away cause i was worried I would spend my whole bankroll on just a single spin or two.
I know it can be confusing so any help you guys can give in helping us understand bingo machines would be awesome! Maybe even a comprehensive guide on it with discussions from a bingo slot tech?

But how does it scale the odds based on higher wagers? The rules state your odds of hitting the Grand, Major Minor or Mini will improve proportional to your wager size. How do they do this. Does it pick from different reel maps or does it weight the reels differently based on the wager size?
if bonus spins are random then how is it when machine stops during bonus round that they pay out the value of the random number that triggered the bonus ,i have seen this a few times.

No, progressives are not predetermined or must hit bus on dragon link or other link games. No, slapping buttons makes no difference.
Does stopping the reels change anything during the ball bonus? You hear slapper doing the woodpecker thing during the ball bonus, does it even make a difference?

Hi Ia from the UK, we have roulette machines un bookmakers that are supposed to be random, how is it that it will always produce numbers that are relative to the players choice, ie next door to one of the very few numbers covered or covering 1 2 3 and 4 and it lands on 5 thanks
I'm not as familiar with UK regulations but it's possible, not saying it's fact, that the displayed outcome only needs to reflect any actual winning results but any losing outcomes can be displayed as anything that is still a losing result, like being one number off. More than likely though you are just seeing patterns. Keep in mind the design of the "table" or any other design aspect of a game is done purposely to make it seem as much possible that you were oh so close to winning every game. Best just to ignore near misses when playing any casino game. There is no such thing as "close". You either win or you lose....there's no in between.
So if 9 spots in the middle during bonus H&S can be only 5x it means we are at disadvantage compare to other games where each square gets its own number at least 1x during H&S

The thing you dont mention with dragon link and or lightning link. If the Major is maxed out (1k or 10k) theres a secondary major counter behind it, and it has to hit on or before it maxes out on the second time around.
I’m not sure that’s accurate. Where did you hear this? It is true that progressives continue to grow after the cap and then that amount is added to the base upon reset of the meter. But, saying it has to hit the second time around is hard to believe. That’s not something that would get past compliance. If you can give me some information on where you heard this I would like to reference it with the material I have from Aristocrat.
that is incorrect. i’ve personally played this game with a $1000 maxxed out major, hit it and underneath was another $1000 which did not hit for at least a week before that secondary maxxed one hit. I play these games all the time and that is simply not true.

I can tell you with 100% certainty, the majors on our Lightning Link, Dragon Cash, Dragon Link, have a secondary counter behind them when the initial major maxes out, For example, our lightning link machines have a max major of 10k, the system can payout the major at anytime while its accruing the secondary major counter, but it has to hit when the major hits 10k on the back counter. This is what we call a 10k reset, When it happens its usually the major in the first 6 that drop to trigger the bonus, then a few low multiple balls and then the bonus round ends. Similar for the 1k majors as well. ,Take it to Aristocrat, they will confirm. - You do a great job with this channel, Ive watched a few of your videos you are spot on with how we have things setup. I love how you tell people to read the game rules, its the absolute last thing they do, good on you for helping out the average joe get smarter.

I've seen this happen countless times. In person. I swear on God. It's never happen for me. I never see the last ball. But one day i will. And if I hit or. Idc if it's $10,000 or $20,000. I'll retire from dragon link games. 😅
Mathematics are crazy. This particular slot game could be set to the lowest legal RTP percentage and still end up paying out more cash than unknown slot game running max RTP percentage next to it.

I think GS may have misunderstood the question. You don't get comped on the money you put in the machine. You get comped on the money you wager. So you would get comped on the $5 spin not on the dollar you added to your credit balance.

**the op is asking about a lucky chance spin fyi. it’s talked about in the video. if he makes (wins) a $5 lucky chance spin bet with only $1 in the machine how does that work with regards to comps. I believe Marc’s first answer is correct.
@@user-ef1nr2xl4x But the OP stated "do a $5 bet". A "dollar in" I assume is $1 added to the credit balance. A $5 bet would be $5 wagered (i.e. coin in). I think the confusion is how would one only put $1 in a machine and yet have enough to make a $5 bet. The assumption would have to be that there was at least $4 in credits already in the machine. I think it would be much more clear if the example was reversed, I put $5 in the machine and make a $1 bet. Then the answer would be you get comped on the $1 coin in not on the $5 in credits added to the machine.

Bummer, I was playing Dragon Cash last week and I had every ball except one, and the one had an orb in it. Did I get the Grand? NO! I was so sure I had it when there was an orb present...Nope :(

There is always 1 spot empty, it's only after you land that ball that it seems they are then all full. You can watch every video on TH-cam
2020i could play dragon link and hit the orbs bonus and see all sized orbs relative to my bet. Now 2022/23/24 the bonuses are infrequent and now are guaranteed to be 1x-3x orbs.
