  • We teamed up with Keller Brothers Enterprises again to bring TH-camrs another episode of moving giant pieces of equipment. We spent the entire afternoon at the landfill transporting giant, broken yuke trucks on site to a new staging area that was made. Enjoy watching the rotator and wrecker handle these beasts!

    What I liked about this video:
    1 The particularity of the assignment.
    2 The images shown.
    3 The rotator, what a nice tool.
    So . . . on to the next one.

      Glad you enjoyed this video! Although it wasn't a recovery, it still took an orchestrated thought process to safely complete the project

    The syncing of the audio through the headsets is spot on also, nice work!

    I loaded one at a landfill outside DC. Transmission was dead, hauled it to Florida for a Richie brother's rebuild. 😊

      Those were some huge dump bodies a true test of the versatility of the rotator! Looking forward to the next one! We will be coming to Ohio in a few months WG is going to be on my list to drop by and see my old stomping grounds!

      Sounds great! You will have to let us know when you are coming so we can be sure to give you the full tour and see if it's still how you remember. I will have to let mom and dad know as well so you can catch up with them as well.

    Big trucks indeed. Lived near Peoria Ill. most of my life and those aren’t really giant CAT dump trucks.

    • @WilcoxGarageRecovery
      @WilcoxGarageRecovery  ปีที่แล้ว

      In the grand scheme of things, you're correct in saying that they aren't that big...there's definitely much larger CAT machines than these!

    Can these not run on there own ?

    • @WilcoxGarageRecovery
      @WilcoxGarageRecovery  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      These units were old ones that are just kept around for spare parts, and apparently do not run

    I bet the cameras aren't really doing justice to the incline you were having to work with. They never do.

      Nope! The angle was definitely steeper than it looked in the video

    Why are you moving them? I assume that they don't run, I would understand if you were moving them to a shop, but your not. I suspicion is that this is just the government being wasteful . Those dozers could easily move them. 1 I'm front, 1 in the back.

    • @WilcoxGarageRecovery
      @WilcoxGarageRecovery  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      They are non-running parts trucks. This is a privately owned landfill, and because of safety concerns (or liability reasons), they did not want their employees moving them with the dozers.
