People hate on filler episodes, but I like them, at least the one's in Rurouni Kenshin. One of my favourite Inuyasha episodes is a filler episode, and the ones for Kenshin are funny and action packed. This is just my opinion of course, sometimes filler episodes suck, but for the most part I've enjoyed some of the filler episodes that have come out over the years.
Also I think that the Shimabara Arc that follows Kyoto Arc is great. It's very interesting to see Japan leading with ghosts of his deeper past at the same time that started to modernize itself. And in Saint Seiya one of my favorite arcs, the Asgard Arc, is filler.
In the manga Watsuki thinks that the result of the Raijuuta arc was disappoiting. Personally I think that in manga Raijuuta started well, but then went downhill.

OH MY GOSH YAAASS Definitely, I recommend it. It doesn't have too much mushy romance, there is awesome god-like sword fighting and awesome characters especially Rurouni Kenshin obviously. He has some worthy opponents as well including Shisio (some bandaged guy later in the series) One just has to watch it ^-^ Also I love the way Kenshin talks lol so unique and calm and just awesome haha

Hey, super late. I don't think you ever hear the vocals, but the instrumental definitely plays in Episode 24 when Sanosuke and his old Sekihoutai friend go to bomb the government capital. That's what brought me here.

The sound of the Tvs that were around when the ep first aired didn't allow them to be heard, but if you watch the ep in good quality websites, like Animesuge for intance, the can be heard faintly. This is done on purpise so as to not stiffle the dialogues.
The instrumental is astounding but those voices are butchering the worthiness. Sometimes you just need to shut up and not add your 2 cents unless your vocals are as awesome as the instrument. Going to try to find instrumental only beautiful art cover.

I just re-watch the Izu arc. this week and honestly while it had some flaws it was actually pretty good. (Haven't read the manga version though)
