Such an underrated anime, honestly one of the greats alongside all the other classics with dbz, yuyu, eva, trigun etc, Kenshin isn’t mentioned enough.

Kyoto arc was incredible. The music for the anime is a masterpiece.
The epicness of this anime will never be measured by the audience level it has had, but by the love and appreciation it has among all those who had the joy of seeing it.
The new OST will probably never compare to this. I really wish they just remastered this new soundtrack, its so iconic.

I can't believe that this legendary anime will back in 2023. I hope they don't replace this masterpiece theme or opening for one of the iconic swordsman in anime/manga.
I watched their fight last night. I've still not finished the show but damn, this is one of the best shows I've seen recently. All of the characters have their own motives and reasons for doing what they do and Shishio is probably one of the best anime antagonists I've seen today.
He was superior to even Kenshin but the final thing that defeated him was his 15 minute "handicap" so to speak.
I also liked how he wasn't just a mad-man or some mysterious bad guy with unknown motives. We saw his motives, his backstory and even the backstory of the people around him.
I've been told apparently the next 40ish episodes are filler but I'm still gonna watch just in case. Definitely better than a lot of the newer stuff I've seen coming out.

+Animental It all makes sense thematically. Saito could have defeated him at full power, and Kenshin could do the same if he reverted to his Battousai ways, but Shishio lived by the idea that the strong prevail while the weak perish, and defeating him with superior strength would only prove him right.

Now that the remake is out and looks fantastic, I am a little saddened that it will lose these OST's from the original. An absolute masterclass of a song.
The remake is better than I expected. I thought it would be butchered like Shaman King was. However it has good pacing and it's fine for now, but it isn't great. The animation and voice acting are ok, the soundtracks are forgettable.

Definitivamente. Tienen dos salidas o encuentran la manera de crear nueva música que sea igual de épica y genere tanto sentimiento como esto o simplemente van a tirar a la basura la combinación de pelea,diálogo, música que era perfecta en este animé.

The only thing superhuman in this fight was their will. Both of them pushed their bodys to absolute limit and beyond. At the clash of ages. Warrior from the burnt past against the one who embraced future. Truly Last Wolf Suite is a fitting theme for this battle!
So, neighter the dude with the firesword nor the assasin with the fighting style that did let him see the future was superhuman.
I felt the saito fight did a better job at portraying the whole idea of this fight though

The fight is pretty cool but it does have some superhuman elements to it.
i agree about the will, I disagree about anything else. The fights in Rurouni Kenshin are hardly realistic (like no human can run so fast you can't see them, and that's what Sojiro does.), but this is a part of the appeal, we want that.

To all the Shishio fans...Kenshin was the best fighter in the anime when he went for the KILL.....Thats the reason Shishio and other best fighters always use to chide him to become the man slayer once he was.And hence the greatest fighter of his era as told in one of the episode...In the last episode even Shishio acknowledged that Kenshin is not in his full strength since he had to defeat Soujiro,Aoshi and others in order to reach him.
So in the end the argument can be ended with just one line " Everyone including Shishio wanted to fight with the Battousai the man slayer since he was the best otherwise no one would have"................

En aquel entonces nadie le había dado batalla a Kenshin como lo hizo el lobo solitario y quedé sorprendido por el poder de Saito ; creo que este tema le queda a la perfección aunque también lo usaron con Shishio y si le queda pero para mí siempre será el tema que nos demuestra la tenacidad de Saito , el valor y el compromiso que tiene con sus ideales , el honor de un lobo que no abandona el campo de batalla incluso si ha perdido sus colmillos

@@thatoneguy5001 Thanks. I wish I could agree with you. Shishio is one of the deadliest fighters to have ever lived. He believes in the concept of Darwinism (the weak exist for the benefit of the strong). BUT unfortunately he don't really know what Darwinism means --> Survival of the Fittest, NOT Survival of the strongest.
Wrong perspective --> wrong determination. Yes, he fought till the end. But Saito and Kenshin, they have better determination than Makoto Shishio.
Kenshin --> Has taken a vow in his life to never again kill and to do everything within his power to protect people from being killed.
Saito --> Aku soku zan (Kill evil immediately). Mibu no okami (wolf of mibu), he taken a vow to protect his country.

Dahli Anggara yep one of the most badass villains ever ! Perfect Villian to me... did not consider himself a victim of his environment, didn’t falsely believe himself to be righteous, he straight up knew he was evil and loved it. He thought survival of the strongest because that’s what he’s known
