I never read the manga, but is jinchuu arc really worth bothering? Shishio was the last great villain IIRC, everyone else is just kind of below him. And Enishi went out like a bitch as expected.

Not only did we see someone, Enishi, do what even Shishio couldn't do and effectively counter Kenshin's Amakakeru Ryu no Hirameki, but he effectively broke Kenshin psychologically afterward as well. It's leaps and bounds better than what the OVA portrayed.
