    Will this fit a b20b as well?

    Is there a torque spec for the studs themselves?

    The Moroso #20911 pan I received had nearly a 3/4 inch gap at two of the four corners(19 yo oem pan looked significantly straighter), when test fitted on a spare block. I called tech support and was told this is normal? Well, after buying a stud kit and installing as per the instructions in the video except I followed manufacturers recommendations and applied hondabond at four corners(rear main/oil pump.) It is still leaking. Looking for a response from Moroso, do you think I'm leaking because I applied Honda Bond or because the pan warpage was excessive?

      By 3/4” gap, do you mean from pan rail to the block? Generally, 1/4” of gap, or “rock” is considered acceptable. 3/4” is a bit much. We recommend the same kind of gasket/RTV as one would use on a factory pan. What does differ is our torque sequence which is three steps; 36 in. lbs., 72 in. lbs., and 108 in. lbs., starting in the center of the pan and proceeding in a crisscross pattern moving outwards. Breaking the sequence down into 3 steps is important in order to keep the pan rail from being warped. Honda recommends putting Hondabond/RTV around the entire parameter of the pan, not just four corners.

      @@danielstephens4420 My Honda shop manual also says only Hondabond in the four corners. I'm using a Honda OEM gasket and still leaks after trying the pattern in the manual and the one shown in this video. No joy.

    I did not see them put in or use the HONDABOND Grey colored Gasket sealer. I would use that all around the Pan. Wow use used 36 inch then 72 then 106 Holy Crap I thought stock it was like 10 to 15 to 38 Pounds?

      Thank you for watching our video, to answer your question;
      The Honda bond is usually not required unless you are using a cork type gasket and/or reusing an oil pan. The only exception to this would be if the engine has a lot of boost that could cause excessive crankcase pressure. At that point it can be used on the hardware and/or the gasket at the installer's discretion. As for the torque spec listed, we measure the 36, 72 and 108 in inch pounds, NOT foot pounds. The factory torque spec is listed at 108 inch pounds and we recommend a three step sequence to ensure even tightening which is where the 36 and 72 come in.

    This video just shows you the product, and it does not look like as good as the OEM one. The video does not show you how to get the oil pan out under the car! That is one hellist job, because you would need to remove a tons of things! TH-cam search and you know what I mean!

      Sorry this wasn't what you were looking for. We do mention that for demonstration purposes, the install would be off the car. The video was more so to show people the proper torque sequence, so they don't damage the pan rail and or gasket. We've changed the title and description to hopefully prevent any confusion for people looking for a step by step, in car "how to" video.
