We’d like to thank Mr Mani for trusting our team and allowing us to document his journey thus far. In our time with him, we’ve come to witness the extraordinary strength, love and care he shows to everyone around him, even at his lowest moments. During filming, he shared with us that his wish of going to Universal Studios was actually for his daughter, and he was simply very excited to spend time with his family outside of the nursing home, just like they used to. It’s been a really powerful experience for us to have these conversations with him, and we’re glad that we could help capture his special day out with his family 🙂 It’s Mr Mani’s 49th birthday today on the 1st of May. This is why wanting to commit suicide or saying things like "omg life is pain i just want it to end" isn't cool or edgy. Somehow nowadays ppl like to glorify depression and killing themselves so they seem cool or quirky. It's not. It's devastating to the ones who actually care for you. As someone who lost their father to terminal illness at a young age, I hope his family is able to find comfort in the memories & legacy he left behind. That would be one of the best ways to honor him. God Bless anyone going through this situation. You're stronger than you know.

Happy 49th birthday Mr Mani, its a simple wish fulfilled to reach your birthday - we can see you truly love your family and your family truly love you.
This hit too close to home. My dad passed 2 years back after battling cancer for a few weeks, and 2 weeks after my wedding. There's so many things that I want to say to him but there is no chance anymore. How I wished he could look at my house after renovation, how he would play with my little girl, how he will bug my mom when am I reaching home with the little one, and the grin on his face when he sees her. Miss him so much but I am glad Mr Mani got to spend time with his family. Thanks for the video
He's such a nice gentle man. Things like this shouldn't happen to people like that. I wish him all the best and I really hope that things change and he gets some good luck and his cancer goes away.
I came across this video today (1 May) by chance and was so moved to discover that it is his 50th birthday. So, if you can hear me, Mr Mani, Happy 50th birthday and may you find peace and joy every day. As someone who is only 2 years younger than him and with considerable personal and professional experiences interacting with chronically and terminally ill patients, I was able to relate to him at so many levels. Indeed, the difference in his successful world before he was ill and his current one is extraordinary and poignant. In one frame, we see photos of a healthy him in exotic and glamourous locations and in another, he is bedridden and depends on full time caregivers for all his essential needs. His story and struggles are powerful reminders to us not to lose sight of the things which truly (and eventually) matter - good health, family and loved ones.
Mr Mani greetings from Germany. Your spirit, your bravery and the selflessness with which you face your destiny is admiring. I want you to know that you have impacted people by sharing your story, including me. Its when hearing stories like yours that people come to appreciate life, to be thankfull and to realize their problems are small. I always thought that I need to prove myself, that I will probably comprimise on my family in the future as long as i can provide for them with a great carrer. But you opened my eyes. In the end, its not worth anything if I cant provide them my time. I will never forget the sentence "I was working and I blame myself for not spending time with them". I will never forget you Mr Mani.
I'm glad he has a family that can go through the toughest moments of his life. A lot of people don't have anyone and die alone. It truly is a blessing to have his family around him.
this makes me realize how blessed and lucky i am, i think we all need to cherish every time that we had with our family, friends, and not afraid to say that we care about them, love them

I never cried. But i cried at this video. I might never understand what Mr. Mani and his family were going through but this hits me hard for some reason. I wish everyone in the world all the best things that life can offer.
Honestly seems like a great guy. Praying for Mani and best wishes to his family
The daughter had already made her dad “the light” and “an angel” 🫤
What a hero you are Mani!!!
You have showed me how to appreciate the life god has given us.
Father,in Jesus name.
May you bless Mani and his family wherever they are.
Is he still alive now?
The color of his skin is so beautiful. When he said the countdown starts…hit hard
Mr. Mani you are a sweet and brave person. Your family is lovely. Your video reminds people to be grateful for health, love and God's grace. God bless you 🙏.
you may not be with them physically once you pass, but you'll always be with your family in spirit and eternally in their hearts and minds

The most painful moment is not when you want to die, but when you know your time will come soon and you don't want to die.
Very true I'll never forget my grandmother saying: I wish I could love longer before she died of cancer.
Hi there! Jesus says to you today: "Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest." -Matthew 11:28
May God bless you! 😊
This broke my heart and made me cry. He’s such a sweet husband and father. You’re in my thoughts and prayers, Mr Mani. I hope you’re doing well. Anyone know how he’s doing? 🙏
I never really comment on videos but this one touched me. Sending all the love to Mani and his beautiful family!
The name of Mr. Mani's daughter Ponniyla actually means "Golden Moon". This man loves his family so much and I hate to see him go through this. Keep up that fight Mr.Mani, we are all with you and so is lord Shiva! 🙏🏻
i thought i wont cry watching this kinda video, but till the end when the man saying all these words, i just cant help with the tears rolling out my eyes
I hope this man is still alive man. Please give an update. he reminds me of my dad soo much,
His last wish he made it about his family and making them remember him joyfully, such a pure and noble man. Happy Birthday Mr. Mani, and thank you for sharing your story with the world, you won't be forgotten anytime soon 🙏💖
The fact that every video I've watched, the people who are dying are mainly worried about their loved ones having to watch them deteriorate and pass away is both beautiful and heart breaking.
I'm so happy he reached his birthday, when stuff like this hits, it's really the little things that make all the difference.
this legend taking it like a champ. i cant say that i will be this collected if it were me. good on him for creating memories before saying goodbye
I needed this reminder. Mr. Mani, Happy 49th Birthday💕 You have a beautiful family. Your daughter is so sweet and so loving. What wisdom at such a young age "Let the light come in. You can't let anything be dark"
I’m glad you are being taken cared of a fellow Filipino. I hope you’re getting all the care and compassion you need from kuya.

Damn I cried with him after he watched the video made by his daughter. He has indeed a nice supportive family and I hope he'll stay with them as long as possible.
As someone who lost their father to terminal illness at a young age, I hope his family is able to find comfort in the memories & legacy he left behind. That would be one of the best ways to honor him. God Bless anyone going through this situation. You're stronger than you know.
I was holding back my tears until the moment when Mr Mani watched his daughter’s video😢 really touching.. happy birthday Mr Mani!

Happy Belated Birthday Mr Mani! Thank you for telling us your story. My mum is currently fighting stage 4 lung cancer and it has been a wild ride for us. I am happy that you have your family with you and that's really the most important thing right now. I have regrets like you too for not spending enough time with my mum in the past, so I am fortunate to have a chance to cherish these moments right now. Mr Mani, I wish that you can continue creating new memories with your family and please don't ever give up fighting!
Stay strong Huiyu, sending love and light to you and your family ❤

Happy Birthday Mani. Pray that your pain can be reduced and may joy accompany you daily.
This was from almost a year ago, and a new may is arriving. I can't help but wonder, if he spent his last birthday last year or he gets to have another one soon... My birthday is on may 2, a day after his.
He chose to enjoy this journey with his family rather than wilt away. Brave dad and husband. I cannot imagine what it’s like for him, when by himself. This is the time you hope there really is a God.
Hi Mr Mani! Do take care. Happy 49th Birthday! To you and your family I wish nothing but the best for you and your family. Your daughter is such a joy and blessing. We will see you on your next birthday! ❤ take care.
Jesus Christ, this hit me so hard because I just lost my dad on NYE after he was on hospice. I had to watch him slowly pass and seeing this brave man get his final wish fulfilled made me cry because of the love between him and his family. His tears made my tears fall. Bless him and his family ❤

Actually I don’t usually comment on videos, but Mr.Mani I really believe God can do a miracle in your life. I know it seems crazy but keep fighting on. I hope he can fight to pull through. He deserves a second chance. From the video you can tell he is a honest straightforward and decent bloke. Happy birthday sir

Thankful that this video showed up when I am most stressed out. I am worried about picking the wrong major that will ruin my life, but from what i can see, that is really just living through life. There is nothing more stressful than knowing you are entering the last phase of your life. Thank you Mr. Mani for reminding me what is important. Thank you for slowing me down in the world of chaos and hurdle. Happy Birthday.

Most of us always think of death as in the future. A terminal disease makes you face it head on. Godspeed Mr. Mani.💙✝️🙏
Mr. Mani the world is with you in your prayers.❤
Hang on there, Mr Mani. Miracle will be happen! ❤️
Just want to know if he's still alive... Gem of a person.. Great person
Much love for you from Florida, USA, Mr Mani! I hope this is truly your best year ever.. ♥️
I'm glad he has a family that can go through the toughest moments of his life. A lot of people don't have anyone and die alone. It truly is a blessing to have his family around him.
Wishing you the absolute best Mr Mani, I wish I could help you. Praying for you take care.
this makes me realize how blessed and lucky i am, i think we all need to cherish every time that we had with our family, friends, and not afraid to say that we care about them, love them
