The best review of this IEM. Fair without pushing for a purchase. Everyone else is sucking this thing off. The shilling is sickening and is ruining the hobby.
Very nice video. Subscribed. Also thanks for the EQ settings. On PC I use Equalizer APO with "PEACE" extension, so it was super easy to apply and save as a new preset. All I need now is my Dusk to arrive, which may be a bit of a wait. Something to look forward to, at least.
It's interesting how subjective this hobby is at the end of the day, I am a pretty big metalhead and I EQ all my IEMs to sound more or less exactly like the default Dusk preset judging by the graphs, and I absolutely love how the bass region sounds, different strokes for different folks I suppose. On another note, I might start looking towards the Quintet at this point considering how it supposedly is similarly resolving to the Dusk since I'm most likely going to run either one analogue with EQ.
Love the videos and your reviews. Keep up the great work, man! Since you mentioned planers in the video, do you have any recommendations for in ear planars? I loved my Audeze iSine20 with the Cypher cable, but the left driver died. I hear there are much better planers now, but I’m not sure which would be best. Thanks in advance.
Hello. Liked your video! My question is simple for you.. I've mostly stayed away from Bluetooth earbuds because I don't prefer the hassle of EQing or fidgeting with different settings & going through a myriad of tweaks. Great for those who can! I've opted for wired iems because I like a no nonsense plug & play situation & hence, I spend weeks trying to figure out exactly what sort of tuning I want in an Iem. So keeping that in mind and seeing the price of the Dusk, how do you reckon the Dusk competes without the likes of the Performer 8 / Hype 4 / Studio 4 purely in terms of technicalities? Do I get my money's worth in that department? Because price wise ,it is directly competing against those.. Would love to hear your opinion on this if you've tried those well regarded sets.
I have the Truthear Hexa for about 1 year and I absolutely love its resolving capability, detail retrieval and the tuning. The only slight (very slight ) downside as of my opinion is the bass, which could be a tad punchier. Nevertheless, I just love the Hexas. I'm thinking of getting the Dusk as an upgrade to the Hexas. Is it worth the hype and recommended as an upgrade? (Because Hexas are called as the mini Blessing 3 and now with the Dusk, I'm hearing people telling the Dusk to be better than Blessing 3). I did watch your review of the Hexas before buying them and was totally convinced with the kind of awe you had with them.
