Great release from Moondrop, this year has been more or less anecdotic in terms of releases hope next year will be a greater one for them Nice glasses btw 😉 and Nappy New Year
Trying to decide between the Zero Red and the May, mostly for listening to music on my phone. I'm not anticipating grabbing another IEM for a while, and was planning to grab a USB C DAC adapter for the Reds, so the May caught my eyes. You mentioned the Mays sounding "grainy", what did you mean by that? And ultimately, would it make more sense to grab the REDs + a phone adapter, or the Mays and a 3.5mm cable (I'd like to plug it into my devices with a jack)? Hoping to listen to rock subgenres and I enjoy a solid but not overwhelming bass. Thanks! Appreciate the review.
The May are amazing dude. I got them as a novelty (I owned 1k+ iems) and these are incredible for the price. You wont beat the cable convenience either, forget your dongles/dacs.
B3 Dusk. Yup. I really hope that will turn it around for them. The love my Kato. But, I am eyeing the Soara and that might end up taking my money. Based on the performance of the ULIM and the graph on aftersound… it’s got my attention.
Nice review as always SC! Question for you. I have a Hiby R6 iii which has a usb port that not only charges, but also supports dongles, such as the Muse HiFi m3 II. It seems like I should be able to plug the May directly into that port to take advantage of the DSP. What do you think?
Yeah it should be able to output via the USB. But this also means that you are bypassing the awesome amp section of the R6III. So yeah, the DSP Type C cable is a nice solution if you are using your phone but when using a DAP, you don't get to unleash its full potential.
Yes I kinda figured that. The Hiby has some serious guts. No need to use a dongle or other amplifier with it. But my iPhone’s lightning port is dying a slow death, so until I get a 15 or newer… thanks for the reply!
@@BassDad8 I have the same problem. I use a iphone 13 and very often use them with dongles. The Type C to Lightning Cables tend to have a weaker connection than a C to C Cable. So its a major pain. haha
The app is really suspicious for the permissions it asks for. Deny it those permissions if youre gonna use it. Im not saying the ccp wants some data....im just sayin
reviews for this earphone are so inconsistent, some call it a steal for the price, others say it's below average and to look at other alternatives. Being a casual at this hobby sucks, man lol
voice too quite, music too loud, I cant hear you.

Moondrop is loosing it's mojo. May be B3 dusk shall redeem them.
Yeah. I hope it will take them back!

haha yeah was a christian school right2, theyre sort of upper class here so naturally good stores are nearby
hello ... nice review... how do you compare this to em6l ....
May or EM6L which is better?
Can a Spinfit W1 eartip fit the MAY?
Yes. And the moondrop springtips, too.
Great review. I think I will stick with my Tanchjim One DSP, Moondrop Quarks and Jiu for USB C IEMs. Mind you I rarely use them.......😁

Especially when you have to side load it as well hahaha.
