That's what I do when I look at bikes. I'm buying yet another one soon, Just one to commute with so i'm not putting unnecessary kms on my 1992 cbr250rr in mint condition. Ask them what size bolts for the sump plug and coolant drain plug, Cause they might know how but just never do it
I baught mine from a dealership in Blackpool with 5000 on the clock and it was mint it’s now got 33000 and it’s been fine not a problem just usual brake pads and tyres trust Kawasaki 💚👌👍😎
Before you go look at the bike let the seller know that you want to see the bike cold. Check the headers when you arrive. See how the bike starts and runs cold.
Also if its a GSXR and it never been on one wheel At Any Time Ever God Forbid, (or thrashed to within an inch of its life). The owner also attends church on Sunday.
Brakes, tires, chain, sprockets, oil/coolant changes. Ask if they have done valve adjustments, most people sell the bikes around 20-30k Kms because they dont want to do that expensive maintenance (they might lie, so bring a mechanic along)
Supernova12034 bring a mechanic along ...hahaha yeah righto mate ...ive got a spare mechanic in the fridge next to the cheese ,i keep him there just in case ....what world do you live in ...
I would never buy a bike from a dealer, I always buy private and save an absolute fortune as dealers are robbing plebs. Your eyes and ears and basic common sense are all you need to buy a decent used bike.
the consumer reports did recherch on all the manufacturers and they found that 40% of BMW motorcycles will have some type of mechanical failure within 4 years from new. looking over a bike is important no matter how old it is. to give you more of a feel of the spread, honda the best scoring manufacture had a 11% failure rate.
Desertfox Mcmillan lolwat, your stupidity was pointed out, and the only thing you that think of is my Username? xD I have about four accounts, I'm not one to bother changing them to deal with futile fucks like you who can't read the published-on date.... And coming from the guy who appears to be channel-baiting DesertFox Airsoft...? Okay, as if MY username was bad! ;)
It's worth asking the seller how to check the fluids and other routine checks and maintainance. If they don't know, they ain't done it.

Man I change my oil every 3-4k miles but I couldn't tell you what size the sump plug is.

1:01: Hammond leaning on the bike visor face.
Me (If I am the owner): Broh, don't lean on my bike. (First & Last Warning)
Remember if you are buying a used dirt bike and they tell you it's never been dropped they are lying.

Advice on alarms actually is: Get the shop to ditch the bloody thing. Nothing but trouble.

Great advice!!

Buy from older gentlemen, they're more mature and most likely babied the bike.
