I've got a Thinkscan max 2 the software looks identical except for the main home screen. Think I paid £330 on special offer.

It’s a far superior tool and also around the same price I fully agree

Nice bit of kit ....but expensive

I have to be honest here I think this product is way over priced considering the Autel MK808 is around the same price point and I would consider that scan tool to be far superior than this tool you reviewed plus it can also go online to look at things like Google just like this one dose….. I’m sat here basically saying why would you buy this when you can get better at the same price point…. As always love the video and always love the content you produce…..
keep up the the good work man

The Autel only 1 year free update. This stuff 3 year free update.

@@shaunkatz9309 I see your point and although it’s a valid one what I would say is this tool seems heavily dependent on Google and well if tell Google you have a cough it will tell you that you have like a brain tumour…. You get my point if your going to invest in a tool of this price point then why wouldn’t you invest in a superior brand and a better equipped machine? With out an internet connection this tool is pretty much useless and for some mobile mechanics especially this would be the case I fail to see why any one who could afford a better tool for the same money would buy a far less capable one… you just wouldn’t do it plus autel has additional bits that this tool dose not especially with live data

@danielmason4640 I'm evaluating Autel MK808S and Kingbolen K7 and trying to decide which one to buy. From reading their descriptions, I didn't see MK808S was "far superior" to K7 but rather similar capabilities between the two. Would you please help me understand what MK808S could do more than K7 in the areas of diagnostic scan, bi-direction control, and reset functions? Thank you for your help!

@@bjmann3695 In today's modern world, owning both tools would be more advantageous than owning just one. However, when I mentioned that Autel is a far superior tool, I meant that the K7 relies heavily on an online connection. Without an active internet connection, some of the tool's features become useless.
There are pros and cons to both tools, and the best advice I can give is that your choice mainly depends on the makes and models you work on most frequently. Remember that no single scan tool can do everything. It’s worth visiting each tool’s website to see what each one covers for the brands you work on. The websites will tell you exactly what the tool will and won’t do for a specific car.
Between the two, I find the Autel to have a cleaner and more professional look and operating system, though that’s personal preference. Both are reasonable tools for a mid-range scanner, but it's important to note that there is a subscription for both. After using multiple scan tools, I’ve found the Autel to be the most reliable. Based on my experience, the two brands I’d recommend are Autel and Launch.

very poor obdII scanner for the money, why are you reviewing basic overpriced scanners?

    • @roberlex7764

It is a full system bidirectional scanner instead of a basic version.
