Disappointed that the Fawcett Captain Marvel stuff didn’t make it mostly because of that material’s historical relevance. It’s almost becoming revisionist history to keep that stuff out of print because Captain Marvel was the most popular superhero of the 40s, and his book was the first use of the story arc across multiple issues in comics, and all because those books are deemed “problematic” so they can never be reprinted is just ridiculous. Like I’m pretty sure we’re all old enough to put them in context. Being products of their time shouldn’t mean that they get left out in the cold, especially if they are historically significant.
I think many people get so caught up in "it's wordy" when it comes to older material IN GENERAL that they completely lose sight of the stories and the joy of the comics. Maybe you wouldn't sit and binge a SHAZAM classic omni the way you would a modern Batman book, but there's so much joy in that early Captain Marvel material that is uniquely charming in a way that no other Golden Age super material captures in the same way. I think it's critically important to get it all restored, and it was definitely on my extended list of picks even though it didn't quite fit into my Top 10.
Super happy to see stuff like Cassandra Cain Batgirl taking that #2 spot! That was my top pick. One thing I will mention is I think two of the Flash Omnis may have cannibalized each others' votes, I think it was The Return of Wally West one and the Infinite Frontier one. They cover a decent amount of the same material, obviously can't know for sure but I wouldn't be totally surprised if one would've made the list if it was just one of them.
We generally try to stay away from two books that split the votes, but in the case of Flash we know there are "WALLY ONLY!" fans so one of the mappers on the team suggested there be a Wally-centric book from his return onward. Since that collects across several different runs, I'm pretty confident it didn't hurt anything's chances too badly. Even with their votes added together, Infinite Frontier and the West book would have missed the Top 60.
@@PeterMarinari Interesting, really cool to get a reply! Fantastic work on the poll overall, hope I can muster up some more votes for those Flash books next time around lol
I’m confident that omnis of Alan Moore’s Swamp Thing are bound to happen. I think the paper stock DC are currently using for their omnis would suit the original colouring more than the recoloured absolute versions. Would love to see these two books!
WARLORD!!! YES!!!! My number one most wanted never previously released omnibus from either DC or Marvel (it was in the number two slot, but then Marvel has now done the Micronauts, so the tales Travis Morgan in Skarteris have moved into the number one spot), It makes me so very, VERY happy to see it on this this list. High five to everyone who also voted for this.
Before researching this poll I was only dimly-aware that Warlord actually existed. But, in the announcement stream, I saw the INTENSE reaction to its inclusion and immediately know we'd be seeing it in the Top 20.
Thank you Omar, Peter, Tigereyes and anyone else who worked on this. I love these lists we get to vote on (even if DC ignores it, but not Marvel!). Also, Tom Taylor is one of the best current writers out there and I will defend him forever!
Great line up. Alot of the listed omnibus were on my list. I am a little surprised with some of the picks being so high. I have all the deluxe editions of Tom King Batman and really enjoyed it.
4/10 of my votes made it on this poll (but there were definitely a few that I wish I could have fit into my top 10 that also made it). Definately shocked that the 90s Robin didn't make it (my number 1 pick 💔, though at least Red Robin made it), at least its getting a compendium. My two favorite Batgirls doing as well as they did was a pleasant surprise. Also a bit surprised none of the events made the list. Would love to see the full list for how each book did, is that data anywhere/going to be anywhere?
Omar will have the full list on his Patreon for subscribers! I'm mildly surprised by the lack of events, but with a Zero Hour omni on the way I think there's no one event on this list where fan fervor for a reprint has particularly coalesced. FYI, 90s Robin was very, very, VERY close to making it into the Top 60.
@@PeterMarinari looking forward to seeing the list, thanks again for all your hard work (all of you) with running this! It’s always a lot of fun Edit: just saw the list, you weren't kidding about how close it was! Literally the first one cut off lol
Salty that there were zero Hawkman by Vendetti Hawkman/Hawkgirl by Simonson, Palmiotti, & Gray, or Shazam! The World's Mightiest Mortal. But happy that my #1 Batgirl Cassandra Cain vol. 1 was top 2. Overall 6 of my votes made it. #56, #50( Firestorm), #22, #18, #14, #2.
I had 5 of mine make it. 1) Birds of Prey Gail Simone 3) Wonder Woman Rucka (original) 4) Wonder woman Rucka rebirth 7) Batman White Knight 9) Batman Tom King
Overall I’m very happy to see these results. 4 of my top 5 were the Batman Bronze Age, Swamp Thing by Alan Moore, Legends of the Dark Knight, and Warlord which all made the top 20! The ones I didn’t see (Hawkworld) didn’t surprise me. What did surprise me was my number one choice of a Geoff Johns Superman Omnibus not making the list! My guess is that because of how it was listed as the Post Infinite Crisis Era people didn’t see it, at least we’re getting the absolute.
Great list! Six of my picks made the poll… including Legion of Superheroes By Levitz! Honestly, I’d probably buy more of these books than the picks from the Marvel poll.
I always thought DC had a better and more varied library of titles, DC is clueless in how to market them and generate excitement over them by fans. It is frustrating to watch Marvel fringe or mediocre books outsell even some Batman titles.
I don't know what the dude at the top's problem is, Hal Jordan is one of the best characters DC has to offer and is personally my favorite Green Lantern. My close second would be Guy, I personally don't find the other Earth Green Lanterns that interesting.
My #1 was Resurrection Man by Abnett & Lanning. Only Booster Gold made it from my list and if that gets announced then hey, ill take that as a win! Voted for lots of Judd Winnick's books this time around. Let hope some of them get a release in the future, preferably in 300-400 page trades. Thanks for the steam guys. Much love!
@@PeterMarinari He is! I've only read the 3 trades that DC put out and really fell in love with Mitch Shelley. Such a fascinating character with a lot of potential, i think. Unfortunately I never finished DnA's original 97 run as volume 2 was never released. So close yet so far. To be honest, I'd rather DC release the "long lost" runs then make an omnibus of already collected runs like Dark Knight Detective/Caped Crusader but i get it. There are many who rather read them in omnibus so all good. But there's just so much uncollected DC material waiting to be collected and read! I mean Martian Manhunter is one of the integral DC characters and we still don't have Ostander's run. Get your shit together DC!
I didn't vote in this one because I wouldn't have known where to begin, but there are some very interesting choices here that I could imagine myself buying.
Personally enjoyed most of the Tom King batman. The joker riddler part was slow. But it's so good when catwoman is involved and spicy. The bane story was also really good.
@stephendavis6606 Truth be told, I never read the actual run. So Idk what original or new colors look like. Tbh tho I'm just one of those people that would be happy if we get it at all. :)
Well by frist two were i did get was johnna hex classic which was my first .but can believe that my 8 choice which was on a whim ambush bug was on this list.
Totally missed the poll. Was hoping Patreon members were gonna get an email about it like the Marvel one. That said, Kyle Rayner is a fun mapping cause you can take different routes much like 90s Ghost Rider w/ Danny Ketch. Their appearances and tie-ins are so extensive through the 90s. You can go fully comprehensive but lose out on the readability cause there's already so many fillers and bad writing throughout the main series. I had included Zero Hour and Final Night in my mappings but for the omnis they might be better with excerpts. I also went past Ion and collected New Guardians and Hal Jordan & the GLC (Rebirth) which DC could potentially do.
Superman Kryptonite Nevermore which collects Superman #233-238 and #240-242 is collected in a Library Edition and was recently reprinted in a standard hardcover in 2021
Might be a stretch, but I would add Batman vs. Robin and the Lazarus Planet event in the World's Finest by Waid Omnibus. Oddly enough, this run has STRONG ties to Kingdom Come, even though it takes place in Prime Earth; there's a certain arc that is the LITERAL origin story of a villain from Kingdom Come.
@PeterMarinari Was there an option to vote for Englehart/Rogers Batman? I couldn't find one in the poll. If one took the material from Legends of the Dark Knight by Rogers and combine it with Tales of the Batman by Englehart, you have an omnibus of some of the best Batman stories ever. Maybe it didnt poll well.🤔 Either way, thank you for all your work! Really enjoy your presence on NMC.
With the exception of Brubaker, we entirely avoided singling out creator-specific Batman runs on the poll because it would splinter the votes from the all-inclusive books - almost all of which made a showing in the Top 60. (Toth making the Top 60 here is a pretty big deal, as generally the creator-centric books don't do very well on these polls unless they collect a few big, continuous runs in them to fill obvious gaps.)
Didn't selected any Batman/Bat Family one yet got 3 in the list of Top 60 Booster Gold by Johns, Giffen, & Jurgens Superman: The Man of Steel by John Byrne Vol. 1 Superman: The Man of Steel by John Byrne Vol. 2 Sad for other characters not making to the list like Aquaman, Shazam, Hawakman, Hawkgirl, Supergirl (only 1) :(
Happy with some titles on the list, kind of baffled with the number one. I love Tom King and his run is good, I just don't get putting a very recent run at number one as it already has a lot of chances to be published in omnibus anyway...
Well I'll be..4 of my choices made the Top 60 in the last hours of voting. Legacy/Contagion placed highest. I'm most happy Supergirl by Peter David made the list. I followed him to DC for that run.
I was mildly surprised Snyder's JLA didn't make the Top 60. It's a big fun run with lots of beloved characters and a heaping of continuity nonsense, and Snyder generally sells books.
I had 11, 17, 19, 31 and 37 in my votes. No top ten for me but half the list so not so bad, and a few others I could have voted for so pretty happy with that. No love for Martian Manhunter and Hawkman though 😢
We've just gotta keep up the WildStorm votes year after year until we win by attrition (the attrition being that everything else eventually gets printed 😂)
@@lukewarwick9350 Oh, you can be sure I will be there Day One for the Compendiums (AS LONG AS THEY DON'T OMIT ANYTHING; I am still so tweaked that they left out Special and Trilogy from the WildCATs Absolute)
@@PeterMarinari they're still making the WildCATS compendium right? Surely that should include everything, but the contents aren't shown as far as I can see on amazon. I hope its not one that ends up being cancelled
I had 7 of my choices make the Top 60 (62?), including All-Star Squadron, which was my #1 choice. I could have easily voted for 25 or more omnis, primarily Bronze Age titles.
I was fully ready with my personal Top 60 votes! I wish we could figure out a system where people could vote for as many as they wanted, but that would introduce so much asymmetry into the results. I think a Top 10 keeps things succinct and forces people to make difficult choices.
@@PeterMarinariThe problem with this poll, as I see it, is that there were too many options, but I also believe it was unavoidable as DC has so much more that has been uncollected. The only thing that would have knocked my #1 vote (All-Star Squadron) down to #2 is if the Complete Scribbly and the Red Tornado had been a choice. Yeah, I'm THAT guy. Lol
Three of my choices made the list (votes 2, 3 and 4), so I did better than @PeterMarinari at least (and I did have The Dreaming there, but only at #9 - maybe a slightly higher vote would have helped push it over). But obviously not enough love for my man Etrigan, who was my #1 pick.
I’m disappointed that golden age flash didn’t Make the top 60. Its so needed as all that is available is the two archive books that are small and minimum issues involved
Scott Snyders Justice League Omnibus, please. Starts w/ No Justice 1-4 Then Justice League 1- 39 Batman / Superman 1-6 The Infected one shots Year of the Villian & Hell Arisen 1- 4 I will also totally buy the Dceased Omnibus mentioned in the video. Take my money
Another one that surprised me, especially given the excitement over some of the potential titles in our announcement stream. He's another one where I wonder if the lack of a "#1 most-demanded run" for votes to centralize upon hurt its chances.
Bit disappointed that the start of Paul Levitz on Legion in the 80s around ‘82 didn’t make it. I’m very irritated that DC is not reprinting the 2010s deluxe editions of The Great Darkness Saga and The Curse, because those are so out of print that after market prices on those are ridiculous, and evidently they were not in circulation long enough for them to be common at used book stores. Very miffed that DC is reprinting The Great Darkness Saga with less material in it in the fall.
I also expected Great Darkness stuff in these results, but I think Levitz was the easiest title for people to vote for when it comes to name recognition (and complete lack of reprints).
I scratch my head on #1 and #21. As much hate that this series got, especially the ending vol. 2. (from issue 50 onward), for it to take two places twice is mind blowing. Zdarsky's run isn't even done. That and Ambush bug surprised me. I get Waid's run on World's Finest because it hit 25 but it was probably getting it anyway. There was absolutely no love for Hawkman (Venditti's run is worthy at the least). Happy for the Booster Gold love, AllStar Squadron was in my top 10, Red Lanterns, Batgirl Stephanie Brown, Birds of Prey, and Supergirl by Peter David finishes my top ten.
The hate was mostly in the moment, the 1-2 punch of the wedding then the knightmares arc going on for months had people impatient. Now that it’s finished the most hate knightmares gets is that it drags on a little too long, but no one’s quitting the run over it. And anyone who genuinely didn’t like the run never got that far.
I couldn't decide what a fake-out #1 could be that wouldn't be cruel to some number of dedicated fans, but I strongly considered both Sugar & Spike and Atari Force (especially since I meant to kick out Atari Force, but Omar kept it in!) I think if OmniDog wasn't going to be on the stream I would've used Sugar & Spike, but I can't actually be mean to Jess. Lars, on the other hand...
All-Star Squadron, Warlord, Ostrander's Spectre are the clear winners of this poll. Hopefully collected editions DC people will watch this video. Rucka's Wonder Woman and 80's Suicide Squad follow next in second place as they are more likely choices (any poll notwithstanding) than Roy Thomas pre-Crisis tribute to Golden Age DC and a sword & sorcery hero so disconnected from today's stories. All the Batman Family selections hardly count since they're pretty much a given if DC Omnibus program keeps on. Superman by Byrne too will happen 100%...
It's a good list. There's a few of my choices on the list, but I have a pretty big DC collection and was voting for things thay hadn't been collected before, so a lot of Superman made it's way to my top 10. DC has so many big titles thay haven't gotten an omnibus and haven't for some reason I expect if they do get a few of those titles out you'll see a lot of book jump in the poll next year like Aquaman and so on. It's going to be interesting to see how the list changes from year to year. It was surprisingly well spread out between eras, I had expected it to be very post Crisis heavy but a lot eras got some love. DC, if you're reading it this is prime market research from people who buy your books! Please, don't ignore this list!
I think folks at DC might be genuinely surprised to see books from characters like Warlord, Firestorm, and Ambush book with very little modern day name recognition on the list!
@halllow I've rewatched this now you've said it, and, I see I missed it during my initial watch because they didnt spend much time discussing it.. Thanks for your comment. I am happy now. They should release the omnibus with a glow in the dark dust cover.
@PeterMarinari and Tigereyes - for future polls it would be interesting to see what age people are who vote. I suspect this explains the lack of golden/silver age material making the top 60 on this list and the unexpectedly high popularity of some other titles eg. Cassandra Cain Batgirl.
I absolutely want to include some unobtrusive demographic questions on the next poll, but to do that in a secure and anonymous way we might need to move to a different polling platform. However, I really don't think demographics is going to answer this question fully for you. DC is unique in that they have largely ignored their Pre-Crisis continuity for 30yrs. That's hard to compare to Marvel fans who have ALWAYS voted for the next book in EVERY major Silver Age line, all of which have now progressed into the Bronze Age even as the poll has doubled its number of respondents.
I agree, it won’t fully explain the results of this poll. But it would go some way to helping DC understand the demographic of their comic book audience. Which may, or may not, be different to their experience with other media. For example, Warner Bros ( who own DC ) have already seen two Batgirl TV shows crash and burn abysmally ( one of which is based on Cassandra Cain ) yet here we are with a poll claiming she is more popular than some legendary Batman runs. This mixed messaging is going to cause confusion and make them wary. If they could see that a wider demographic was interested it would provide more reassurance toward greenlighting these projects. Just my own personal thoughts ; I have no inside knowledge of the comic book industry but have some experience elsewhere in the publishing world.
@@djsuth7727 I think that's a brilliant framing, honestly. It's less about "I DEMAND YOU EXPLAIN WHY THIS POPULAR THING IS POPULAR" (which we always see some of after any of the NMC polls) and more about "provide more data to contextualize why this popular thing is popular."
I'm hoping that with the Superman movie upcoming DC does an all-out assault on Superman collections in the next year! The Triangle omni is a wonderful sign and I hope it sells hugely.
Batman by Tom King, Vol.1 would be great! Batman by Tom King, Vol.2 would be the worst collection of disappointing comics I could think of. He gets really dumb with the KGBeast, Penguin, etc stories in the back half. But the first half when he had a real editor...Yes!
@@PeterMarinari I never picked up a Firestorm comic but he was prominently displayed in every comic shop I went into as a kid. I'm surprised they never cashed in on the popularity with the Flash show I thought he was kinda cool.

My number one most wanted never previously released omnibus from either DC or Marvel (it was in the number two slot, but then Marvel has now done the Micronauts, so the tales Travis Morgan in Skarteris have moved into the number one spot),
It makes me so very, VERY happy to see it on this this list. High five to everyone who also voted for this.
Before researching this poll I was only dimly-aware that Warlord actually existed. But, in the announcement stream, I saw the INTENSE reaction to its inclusion and immediately know we'd be seeing it in the Top 20.
I didn't really order my picks 1 to 10, but I am happy two of mine got onto the list! All Star Squadron Vol.1 and Legends of the Dark Knight Vol.1.
Shade!! Spectre!!! Jonah Hex!!!! FANTASTIC LIST!!!
Sooo cool that six of my picks made the Top 60 list (including the no.1!), great stream everyone!
It’s always a lot of fun
Edit: just saw the list, you weren't kidding about how close it was! Literally the first one cut off lol
they have a good group of guys doing this they are very fun together
Surprised Wonder Woman by William Messner-Loebs didn't make the list.
😭
Supergirl, LSH, Shade and All Star were my top picks and so happy to see them all make the top 20.
Hal Jordan is not only my favorite Green Lantern, but he is my favorite character in all of comics.
HOLY W
I had 5 of mine make it.
1) Birds of Prey Gail Simone
3) Wonder Woman Rucka (original)
4) Wonder woman Rucka rebirth
7) Batman White Knight
9) Batman Tom King
I'm happy with
Swamp Thing by Alan Moore
Man of Steel by John Byrne
Legends of Dark Knight
are all on the list
Omar, can you and your friends do a similar type list for the Most Wanted DC trade paperbacks for series that didn't quite make a large run?
Overall I’m very happy to see these results. 4 of my top 5 were the Batman Bronze Age, Swamp Thing by Alan Moore, Legends of the Dark Knight, and Warlord which all made the top 20! The ones I didn’t see (Hawkworld) didn’t surprise me. What did surprise me was my number one choice of a Geoff Johns Superman Omnibus not making the list! My guess is that because of how it was listed as the Post Infinite Crisis Era people didn’t see it, at least we’re getting the absolute.
Busiek/Johns Superman was one vote away from making it, but in general I think pre-00 Superman runs took higher priority for many voters.
Really? You mean ingeneral or with Omnibus.
@@Stephen_D421 I mean Omnibus since the this most-wanted poll and the Marvel one were specifically for Omnis.
I don't know what the dude at the top's problem is, Hal Jordan is one of the best characters DC has to offer and is personally my favorite Green Lantern. My close second would be Guy, I personally don't find the other Earth Green Lanterns that interesting.
poor hawkman hawkgirl and hawkwoman
Bro...I was hoping for Truman and Ostrander's time in Hawkworld too
@@greendaleforever Hawkworld looks so freaking cool to me. Can't wait to read some of it!!!
Warlord was number 1 for me. I actually had most of my list make the top 60. Pretty much the opposite of the Marvel poll 😂🤷🏼♂️.
After looking over the list I actually got 7 out of 10 on the top 60, so I'm pleased but I wish some of my choices were higher...like #1.
Much love!
LOVE Resurrection Man. What a intriguing comic and character.
@@buggydes I get the feeling that Compendiums could be the spot for "long lost" runs
Firestorm omni needs to include the cancelled issue 6 from canceled calvacade! It was in the original trade
Oo, that's a great note!
I didn't vote in this one because I wouldn't have known where to begin, but there are some very interesting choices here that I could imagine myself buying.
very impressive folks especially peter
Personally enjoyed most of the Tom King batman. The joker riddler part was slow. But it's so good when catwoman is involved and spicy. The bane story was also really good.
I'm glad my vote for Alan Moore's Swamp Thing made in the Top 10, hopefully DC drops that book sooner than later!
With original colours?
@stephendavis6606 Truth be told, I never read the actual run. So Idk what original or new colors look like. Tbh tho I'm just one of those people that would be happy if we get it at all. :)
1:33:23-1:33:29 X-Men: Revolution and Eve of Destruction LOL
Oh, and City of Bane BLOOOOWWWWWWZZZZZZZ....give me Hawkworld!!
Well by frist two were i did get was johnna hex classic which was my first .but can believe that my 8 choice which was on a whim ambush bug was on this list.
Both the Boosters Baby!
What do yall think is a better read for someone whos read neither. Birds of Prey or Secret Six?
Superman Kryptonite Nevermore which collects Superman #233-238 and #240-242 is collected in a Library Edition and was recently reprinted in a standard hardcover in 2021
not enough titans/outsiders 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 thank you guys for this tho !
Kyle Rayner #1
Didn't selected any Batman/Bat Family one yet got 3 in the list of Top 60
Booster Gold by Johns, Giffen, & Jurgens
Superman: The Man of Steel by John Byrne Vol. 1
Superman: The Man of Steel by John Byrne Vol. 2
Sad for other characters not making to the list like Aquaman, Shazam, Hawakman, Hawkgirl, Supergirl (only 1) :(
I just noticed that on the listing in the video's description, #60 and 59 (or more correctly #62 and 61) aren't mentioned.
Happy with some titles on the list, kind of baffled with the number one. I love Tom King and his run is good, I just don't get putting a very recent run at number one as it already has a lot of chances to be published in omnibus anyway...
Not at DC it hasn't.
Well I'll be..4 of my choices made the Top 60 in the last hours of voting. Legacy/Contagion placed highest. I'm most happy Supergirl by Peter David made the list. I followed him to DC for that run.
Still can't get over the fact that Batgirl 3 omnis, JLA 1 omni. 😂
I was mildly surprised Snyder's JLA didn't make the Top 60. It's a big fun run with lots of beloved characters and a heaping of continuity nonsense, and Snyder generally sells books.
@@PeterMarinariOr what follows JLI 3.
Two of my votes made the list! YAY!
Looks like I’ll be keeping my Gen 13 Deluxe OHC close.
Would you even downgrade to an omnibus?
Yes, I got 3 in the top 10.
I had 11, 17, 19, 31 and 37 in my votes. No top ten for me but half the list so not so bad, and a few others I could have voted for so pretty happy with that. No love for Martian Manhunter and Hawkman though 😢
I voted for backlash the wildstorm series as my top pick. I can dream 😂
We've just gotta keep up the WildStorm votes year after year until we win by attrition (the attrition being that everything else eventually gets printed 😂)
@@PeterMarinari I would even settle for compendiums on some of my picks tbf
@@lukewarwick9350 Oh, you can be sure I will be there Day One for the Compendiums (AS LONG AS THEY DON'T OMIT ANYTHING; I am still so tweaked that they left out Special and Trilogy from the WildCATs Absolute)
@@PeterMarinari they're still making the WildCATS compendium right? Surely that should include everything, but the contents aren't shown as far as I can see on amazon. I hope its not one that ends up being cancelled
@@lukewarwick9350 The lack of contents vexes me, but supposedly it's still on the schedule.
I only got 2 books I voted on the list, well, I'll take it as a win!
Scott Snyders Justice League Omnibus, please.
Starts w/ No Justice 1-4
Then Justice League 1- 39
Batman / Superman 1-6
The Infected one shots
Year of the Villian & Hell Arisen 1- 4
I will also totally buy the Dceased Omnibus mentioned in the video.
Take my money
No Hawkman omni love 😞
I voted for Silve Age 1.
Another one that surprised me, especially given the excitement over some of the potential titles in our announcement stream. He's another one where I wonder if the lack of a "#1 most-demanded run" for votes to centralize upon hurt its chances.
@@miguellupi8709me too!
He's my favorite DC hero.
I voted Hawkman by Robert Vendetti as my #2
Hawkman/Hawkgirl by Simonson, Palmiotti, & Gray as my #4
I voted Robert Venditti’s run as my #1, it represents a fantastic stand alone story and makes sense out of Hawkman’s convoluted history.
Top 60 is crazy
Post crisis batman, should end with sword of azreal. How they left it out of the knight fall omnibus.
Firestorm was a great book! And eventually we get some fantastic work ftom the great Pat Broderick. One of my picks, so instant buy for me!
Wild that the Superman: New Krypton saga didn’t make the cut
On #1, Omar misspelled "Atari Force Omnibus"...!🤣
I couldn't decide what a fake-out #1 could be that wouldn't be cruel to some number of dedicated fans, but I strongly considered both Sugar & Spike and Atari Force (especially since I meant to kick out Atari Force, but Omar kept it in!)
I think if OmniDog wasn't going to be on the stream I would've used Sugar & Spike, but I can't actually be mean to Jess. Lars, on the other hand...
Any such list that does not have 'Mazing Man on it is immediately suspect! (personal opinion)
It appears that my tastes are definitely not similar at all to the majority. None of my voted books made it in.
Join my club! 😂
Lars and Omar, what!!? The newest Batman movie was sooo good. C'mon, man!!
9 out of 10 ain't bad
Another great job guys!
Wonderful job putting this together. I always enjoy this.
Thanks guys!
I forgot to vote, but Batman by Tom King would’ve been my top 2 votes and a companion if it was on the list would’ve been my number 3.
We did have a companion on the list, for Bat/Cat and all of his other closely linked stuff. I was surprised by just how much of it there was.
peter would be the BEST executive assistant in the universe
More like COO, but sure 😜
I'm disappointed that Spectre by Ostrander & Mandrake isn't on the list.
It’s 15
@halllow I've rewatched this now you've said it, and, I see I missed it during my initial watch because they didnt spend much time discussing it.. Thanks for your comment.
I am happy now.
They should release the omnibus with a glow in the dark dust cover.
Taylor is a fave!
@@PeterMarinari Exactly !
6 of my 10 was in the top 60. Please let us vote for more than our top 10 next year.
Man of Steel vol 4 is impossible to find less than $200

Batman by Tom King, Vol.1 would be great! Batman by Tom King, Vol.2 would be the worst collection of disappointing comics I could think of. He gets really dumb with the KGBeast, Penguin, etc stories in the back half. But the first half when he had a real editor...Yes!
I just dont understand how characters that had 100+ issue runs dont have Omnibuses
Sometimes the market just changes, and editorial focus changes with it. When was the last time you recall reading a great Firestorm story?
@@PeterMarinari I never picked up a Firestorm comic but he was prominently displayed in every comic shop I went into as a kid. I'm surprised they never cashed in on the popularity with the Flash show I thought he was kinda cool.

Pretty much. But Winick tried to make it work vs. what Marz/Dixon initially did. Should read the run when you get a chance.
I too Love Tom Kings Batman run. So many great issues and arcs. It’s ridiculous that DC hasn’t put out an Omni yet
