    This is one of the best small space interior designs I’ve ever seen. So impressed at how the storage is incorporated seamlessly into the entire (not to mention beautiful) space without that forced, crammed feeling. Especially love the use of dividers as storage! I wonder if next to the oven may not be the best spot for wine storage, though.

    As someone who has lived in 3 different neighborhoods in Paris, it's safe to say that this one doesn't even qualify as a small apartment for Paris non-rich standards...! Good job! The apartment is very well thought out and nicely finished!

      That bothers me a bit...they're constantly calling things small and they seem to design for/show folk that have zero hobbies or pets and children, it's just a sortof place to hangout after work with some colleagues.
      Maybe I'm taking this too personal, but I make art for a hobby and I have a 35m2 place with no extra storage. I have a 2 by 2 m2 kitchen with a low sideways wall (one third of the kitchen is gone because of this) and honestly, around me live people in their 40's and 50's that can't afford a bigger house, can't afford to start a family or get themselves a pet, because it's just too damn small.
      And then they call 50 square meters a 'small' appartment for seemingly one person.

    The shower is a dream - I've always wanted a walk-in with no tub, no curtain, no doors. Big kudos. However, the stairs are a bit intimidating with no handrail. I'm afraid I'd fall the first time I came down those in the dark. Beautiful job!

    • @tia904

      I have used one in a hotel, there was water all over the bathroom floor, great concept, not practical unless you want a polished bathroom floor because you will have to mop and change the bathroom mat after each shower.

    • @theresabu3000
      @theresabu3000 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There has to be a decline so water flows down the drain.
      But it also depends on your shower habits - I mostly use the 🚿 so water doesn't spray everywhere + less cleaning.
      The staircase has the wood slats - that not only look great, but also hinder you from falling over. A handrail still might be nice but not as important.

      I think most are disappointed that it features very few practical ideas for people that are really living in small space because 500ft+ for a single person is luxurious. Most people living in cramped cities have in average just less than 150ft per person, less than a third of what is featured here. The tiling and additional openings to increase light penetration is very nice though.

      @J M "How is that for an idea to leave us alone?"
      Why? Should we treat those people like babies that should be always praised for any drawing you can make? Tiu, tiu, tiu, what a smart architect you are, designing so cleverly this small, small space, a bit bigger than my two room and separate kitchen apartment with a bathtub and much more of storage space? Wow, you put a presentation shelf for decorative objects in an archway, where noone can see them? And TV in 90 degree position to a coach? Perfect, I wouldn't think about it. And I especially like those curved, smooth stairs without railings, amazing.

    I love the functionality combined with warmth, logic, and livability. The storage created makes it clean-looking and the kitchen is a dream. My standard always is, do I want to live there? This is one of the few times I will wholeheartedly answer yes.

    • @braria9855
      @braria9855 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Exactly. Or "would I be -willing to / capable of- living there" Too often it's way too impractical, the washing machine makes sounds in the living room, there's not enough storage, shelves are too open/bare (making it hard to keep a small space tidy-looking cause irl they must be stacked to their max :D ), kitchens are sensless, too much glass everywhere (which will require nonstop maintanance), illogical lighting for nighttime or overcomplicated solutions that require complex daily tasks (like making and storing your bed, or weird access to daily items, including clothes...)

    So well done - félicitations à l’architecte! This is one project where I’d love to see the floorplans/design evolution - what was disregarded design- and materials-wise, what colours were suggested, etc. It’s lovely.

    I love it! Finally a house with some color on the walls, it has such a warm atmosphere. I't's just the right size, there's no waste of space but nothing seems too cramped or a compromise.
    I really like the match of the pink furniture and green tiles in the bathroom, and the sofa. And the dressing room is really smart, having the washing machine and dryer right next to the clothes.
    Love it love it love it

    This is absolutely stunning. I usually half watch these while I'm working, but everything came to a grinding halt. Those floating stairs, the little kitchen, the tiny study with the window, the bathroom, I could go on and on. Phenomenal design, but still warm and livable. Perfection.

    Superb layout, colours and - here I go again - finishing. Looks like they really paid attention to the details here. I'd probably have preferred no dressing room and instead a full-height ceiling in the living room just to get that sense of freedom (so that you can look down into the living room from the bedroom) but that's a personal preference - I understand other people wanting to maximize floor space. Loved this.

    This one is a keeper. Love almost everything about it and I absolutely adore that staircase. The fish scale inspired bathroom tiles also nice touch. Although the workspace not quite conducive, a bit cramped and looks claustrophobic.
    Otherwise, this is very well thought out deco I've seen in NTS for a while. Kudos to the designer 🙌🏼

      Obi Dean>> As a number of people have commented about the cramped workspace I thought I'd toss in that my wife has been working from home since our lockdowns began in Feb. 2020. First, she carved out an area in our guest room/my sewing-beading area. In other words, "The Office". Over time, working from home revealed that everything could be conducted on a smartphone and a laptop with headphones for Zoom meetings. Eventually, she moved out to a wee corner tucked in next to our fireplace in the den area and except when one of cats insists on sitting on the keyboards, that's all the space she requires and she prefers "the commute"--i.e. it's closer to the coffee fixing place. Our homeowner here has the pass through for coffee and other things. Et voila!

    The style is gorgeous. Im not keen on the wall colour but can appreciate its not to my taste.The corner wall cupboard is genius .Not easily accepted is the staircase with no railing to hold as one uses the staircase. I like the study area and the window is a nice detail .the chair is rather tight in under the stairs though. I do like the storage directly part of the staircase .The kitchen is fantastic area. I like the small hob hood,(never seen one like that ) the white hob is something I hope to have in my own apartment .I like that there are no handles to mess with ones eyes in the kitchen .
    Overall.......I love this apartment !

    I've watched a few NTS videos (okay okay, I've watched them all 🙈) and this is by far my absolute favourite! The entire apartment is absolutely exquisite, and the colours and mood throughout are like a warm hug after a long day. There were so many beautiful details that didn't even get mentioned, like the custom door coming out of the bedroom and the built-in seating in the kitchen. Great work to the architect & designers! And of course, another great video made by the NTS team.

The stairs are fantastic, and I think the way that the part-second floor as been added is genius, in that the downstairs still feels spacious. The colours wouldn’t normally be ones I would choose but they are perfect. This is such a calm, restful, comfortable yet stylish home, I love it! 🥰
