How to create an EPIC & AMC account

Part one is all about setting up your EPIC/AMC account.
Follow the steps and links below:
Step 1 Verify your university where you got your medical degree is listed

Step 2: Create an epic account

Wait for EPIC ID in a few days to be emailed to you
Step 3:Confirm your identity via EPIC account “Epic Identification Form” (only when you have an EPIC ID from step 2)

Step 4: Create an AMC account/portfolio (only when you have an EPIC ID from step 2

Provide an email address that you use frequently and create a password
Step 5: Go back to your EPIC account and upload your credentials for verification

Step 6: Go down the pathway you have chosen
Standard: Need to book in AMC MCQ TEST
Competent: Do not need AMC MCQ Test

Thank you very much for the step by step instructions. Its very helpful. I've a question if you can please help me:
1- Is it okay to setup the AMC account which is around AUD600 at the moment before I upload my credentials on EPIC?
2- For those who are taking standard pathway and haven't done postgraduate degree, are the required to upload and verify internship certificate? I don't see an option for "Postgraduate Internship Credentials" on EPIC credentials dropdown list.

I wish I had found this video months ago, you explained every step with details and so clear. Thank you so much for your help. I have just created my EPIC account following your instruction, but I still have some doubts... When do you reccomend to start this process? I don´t feel confident enough at the moment to express myself in medical terms, it is okay to start the process while I study and take the OET exam in a few months? Or better wait to be fully prepared for OET and AMC exams? I'm confused about how long every step takes, and if that time is limited and is better to wait and do it all in one go.

Once you have your degree qualifications to upload you can start the process. You are just committing to creating an account and not the exam. So you can have the account for a while until you are ready to book the exam. Just note the exam may be booked out for a few months, so when you think you would be ready- go ahead and book it in advance !

I have a doubt where at 9:00 you said that we have to create AMC account. Does that mean we have to pay AUD600 and make a portfolio or just sign up and wait for any email from AMC? When do we receive candidate number; after signing up the account or after creating a portfolio?

I want to know if you have to upload the original degree for verification? Would an attested photocopy of the degree would do ?
I have a doubt.IS this like you have to do each of this process for both MBBS and MD ? Because In the first step it is asking only about one degree and one college.

If i set up my epic account and amc portfolio now, will i be able to verify the internship certificate later? Also are we able to book the exam just with our degree, before we complete/verify our internship program?
Yes you can book with just your degree. So no problem 😀
Should we sign the eif first and then email this eif ? Also what is the email where we should send this eif
i completed all the necessary steps in verification and i nominated the AMC to receive the verification report from epic, its been a month already and i have not received eligibility status yet to go ahead and book my exam :( how long does it usually take for AMC to respond to the report sent by epic ?
I have my credentials already verified through epic, can i send an epic report to AMC for not uploading it again.

I have one more question, is it alright to set up an EPIC account and an AMC account this year and not sit for AMC part 1 till next year? Or do you recommend setting up the accounts when I am sure about applying for the exam?

Either way is fine BUT don't set up the account right before you want to take the test because the dates are usually booked out for three months.. for example if you want to take it in June - think about setting it up 4 months in advance

That is such a technical question. A little bit tricky. So it will come down to whether you have a medical degree certificate? That's what you need to upload to EPIC. If you cannot produce that, I would think it would be a no because what your provisional situation is saying is if you don't pass your internship then you don't get your medical degree ( correct me if I'm wrong). However the best way is to email the AMC and see what they say.
Always email so the answer is in writing if they ever disagree in the future

Hello i did the exact same of everything u told upto the amc portfolio however i have not received the amc candidate number till now(i payed 500$ on 30 dec 2022) and i am now confused about should i proceed with the EPIC credential verfication without the AMC candidate number or should i wait more time coz u told not to proceed further untill i get my Amc candidate number. I tried to contact AMC but not helpful didnot get any number or mail id.

Don't proceed because you need the AMC Candidate number to proceed with the epic verification. Otherwise when epic verifies it they won't have any AMC account to link it to. My gut feel is that AMC is either closed or reduced staff around this time of year so longer delays. Have a look on their website to see if they say anything about being shut and when are they re opening
Also double check, that your $500 actually went through and there wasn't an IT glitch.
Also when you set up the AMC portfolio did you get a confirmation email at least when you paid the $500? I would be checking first my bank account and see if $500 was even taken from there

Is it like initial step we are giving only undergraduate level documents to get EPIC ID.i couldn't find any space where I can add my PSYCHIATRY MD details.
Yes just add your undergraduate documents FIRST. If you plan on taking the specialist pathway- it's a little different depending on the school. Head to our website and read the instructions for the specialist pathway- IF that's what you plan on taking.

If you have a provisional graduate certificate, you may be able to upload that and use it to set up an AMC account
