I'm just 16 and my dad's a doctor and I'm aspiring to become a doctor and your videos are always inspiring me Doctor. I really want to work in Australia and thanks for inspiring me Doc.
This video on Australian visas, PR, and citizenship for doctors is incredibly informative! It provides valuable insights into the visa options available for doctors seeking to live and work in Australia, as well as the pathways to permanent residency and citizenship. Thank you for sharing this valuable information!
Please make a video about non clinical branches like public health, epidemiology etc. Do we need amc exam for them as well? I am asking for masters and so on and also what are the prospects for them regarding pr , job and passport after masters
Hello doctor My friend & her spouse both are on temporary visa are working a regional hospital in Melbourne Within 2 years of their temporary working at hospital they applied PR ,they got PR I don’t know with temporary registration any doctor can apply PR through hospital support It’s incredible
I've been searching videos about visa for IMG who wants to be a permanent resident, and finally I found this. Such a gem! Thank you for making this informative video, Dr. Rizwan. I want to ask you about visa 189/190. Do I just have to pass the AMC 1 test to lodge those visa? Or I have to complete both the AMC 1 and 2 test?
Glad it was helpful! My observation, most migrant doctors come here on temporary visas like 482 after passing AMC1 and getting a job offer and then after getting full registration with AHPRA (2-3 years), apply for permanent visas
@@EmergencyFocusDo you recommend the above pathway like job through 482 and then PR or apply directly for immigration (189) as GP in my case and in the meanwhile clear AMC while the process is ongoing. I'm a GP dr in pak and my wife is an ophthalmologist. We have 2 kids. What pathway would you recommend in this case? Thank you for great video ❤
Hello Sir, Thank you, for this video. It was really enlightening. I have a question, I am 42 going on 43 this year, and I'm a non specialist Dr. working in the Uk for more than a year,I am weighing my options on if it is worthwhile still coming to Australia at this point with respect to PR. How feasible will it be to get a PR after age 45. Is it mostly possible or just a slim chance from your experience. I will be happy to hear from you as this is affecting my decision on if to relocate to Australia or not, and I don't want to be stranded if I decide to come, especially because I have a family. Thank you, and weldone for the good and encouraging work.
I always wanted to know wether i can take my parents with me when I’m working as a doctor in Australia! I have only mom with me & I can’t leave her alone here in India !
Enjoyed all these videos, Dr Rizwan. I have a question though. I know that migration lawyers are most suited to answer this, but I might as well ask. If someone has 65 points (and that fulfils the basic requirements for the 189 Point-tested visa), is there any possibility that they are NOT invited to apply for a PR by the government? I know some friends who didn't get PR even though they have >70 points. But they are not doctors nor in the healthcare profession (accountants, engineers, etc), so their situation might be different.
Good job and Thanks for the Nice & Informative videos. Please explain how to apply for skill assessment for a PR visa like Subclass 189? I ask this, especially for Pakistani doctors like GPs and Specialist Physicians with ECFMG certification. Appreciate your efforts. Best Regards.
Noted. ECFMG certified/ USMLE doctors need 2 years of US residency experience to qualify for Australian provisional registration after a job offer via competent authority pathway. Otherwise, if no US clinical experience then standard pathway via AMC 1 (at least) and then job offer and then limited registration via standard pathway. Most migrant doctors come here on temporary visas like 482 after passing AMC1 and getting a job offer and then after getting full registration with AHPRA (2-3 years), apply for permanent visas
My brother is an engineer , with 95 points for subclass 189 PR visa. Its been more than a year he has not been invited. I am a doctor in UK , planning to come in Australia, I would barely be able to make 75 points at max. If my brother cannot receive an invitation for such a high score, my chances of getting one may be more than 3-4 years.... Or is it that being a doctors helps us get an invitation earlier, despite low points?
I have not come across an onshore doctor with full AHPRA registration being denied a permanent residency. Not sure about off shore maybe SOL is not satisfied
Will you advise please, what will work better between doing the AMC-1, in October this year and march next year with regards to getting employment immediately post AMC -1 results?
I am an anatomical pathology consultant Do I need full registration and licence before applying to 189 visa or I can apply for visa and then complete my registration in Australia
Hello, thanks for your comment. We cannot comment on personal visa circumstances but as a consultant, specialist pathway would be suitable. But if you're still confused, I'd recommend you book a 1:1 session with me so we can discuss your options in detail! www.emergencyfocus.net/booking-calendar/1-1-specialist-pathway
