Our autism journey, my little venting session and I hope to get help.

Hello my name Blair, I am a mother 2 daughter, a 10 year old her name is Ava, and 6 year old her name is Brooklyn. We are in the process of having my 6 year old medically diagnose with autism. We are dealing with a lot of different issues and I feel like I am failing as a parent. I feel defeated. I wish I knew how to understand what she is feeling or how she is feeling and what to do to make things right for her. I am just looking for help and I hope someone could help me. We go in 2 weeks to be evaluated by a behavioral specialist and I hope to get a good outcome with this visit. Because we had some bad experiences in the past, during the pandemic and everything was virtual and stuff was just difficult and the doctor we did this with was not very helpful and I understand it since it was during COVID and it was virtual, but I felt like the doctor put the blame on my husband and I for not being a full time hands on parents and not allowing her to interact with kids, but we were in a lockdown and parks being closed she was not great source. But I will make a video about that at another time. I’m just mentally exhausted, but feeling like I’m breaking and having anxiety from all of this.
