- Bergara B14R honest review and tests with Eley Team .22 ammo.My Bergara is a super accurate rifle , but man is is a pain in the ass ! Ejection issues , reliable feeding issues , and the magazine will not hold 10 rounds and function . In spite of all that I really enjoy the rifle because it is super accurate with a huge amount of ammos . The Eley Team and the Bergara b14r is what I think is a perfect match . ... great shooting and video. I tried shooting with a lower mag on my scope @50 yards (x12 from x18) yesterday and shot the smallest group I've ever shot in quite windy conditions - 10 rounds under .50" with Eley Action. Very happy with that!
That B14R is more consistent than some of these high end 22lrs I've seen. Good shooting brother!

Brilliant!!! I love it.
Put a Sightron SII 36x42 BRD Rifle Scope, fine cross-hair (or any equal) on that rig if you want to really test the ammo. It'll give you a much better/more precise aim point than the lower power variables with questionable reticles you have been using. This is what target shooting is all about shooting BR and 'bugholes'. Once you find the ammo that'll work with the harmonics of that rig, you can swap it out for a scope that's more suited for 'shoot & scoot' contests. I assume that is what the rifle is designed for with a bi-pod up front instead of a good rest?

Your a good shooter. Try doing a review on some old scopes. Like a red field 3x9, Wide Field TV lens.some people don't even know what that is.

Good Shooting there! I just wonder if you could get better accuracy using lower scope mounts and a higher cheek weld. You are using a very low cheek weld, its almost your jaw. I see the bolt reverses back past horizontal. Maybe you could cycle underhand and lower the scope?

I shoot a 22/250 in a 200 yard open class match, & I always get stuck next to this guy that shoots a short barreled 308 with a brake.
Every shot feels like he is smacking me in the forehead with a tennis ball.
I really have to concentrate on blocking that out, or I fall apart. It will give me the jitters.

Are you going to put the bergara in a chassis at some point? I'm interested in seeing how much the accuracy will improve. I don't have any experience with rifle chassis.

You might have damaged the bullet on that last failure to feed. Those magazines would drive me crazy. You have to find a fix. I shoot .22lr precision mostly and loosing your cheek weld is murder. I wont say group shooting is easy but its easier than one shot per target 25 times.

Probably the reticle. Horus has some awful reticle designs.

I’d pass on that gun. Hate the oversized magazine plus the issues he’s had with mid-loading.
