Great Video as always. I have been told that once the bullet falls or is ejected to not use it because you could have debris that can damage your barrel sticking to the lubrication.
Love your videos, Joe. I'm a newbie so I'm learning a lot. Just bought a Savage Mk II FV-SR as an entry level precision rifle. Very excited to start shooting!
I have a couple friends with that rifle. Both had magazine issues and the mags are known to fall apart. Savage will absolutely send replacement so if you ever have issues contact them instead of paying out of pocket for another one.
Youll love it. Def get a new chassis for it. But i honestly love my savage.. Its freat for entry level. Mine like cci standard best as far as regular ammo goes. I havent tried match ammo yet or anything to crazy. But with cci, im still hitting a soda can silhouette and a 6in gong at 200yards very religiously.
I guess I just don’t see any benefits by spending $5-600 dollars for a new barrel when they shoot as good as they are. I highly doubt that you would get any perceivable improvements over that. Might be a little less ammo picky but I doubt it. Nice shooting and another great video Joe!👍👍

Hey Joe...might be a good idea to break that B-14 in by putting it in a cement mixer for an hour on high speed. Then, titty-twister the scope dials, and then liquid nail a squirrel pecker to the bolt knob. Just some suggestions. Love you!
Great video! I own the Bergara B14R (barreled action) but when I bought mine, there weren't any with the factory stock. They were either selling out too fast, or they weren't getting any in stock. So when I bought the barreled action I went with the MagPul stock. I don't like the way it fits me. Even with a stock that doesn't fit me, the rifle is accurate as hell. I really should've gone with a Boyds AT One stock in the first place. So I finally got the factory HMR stock last night from a guy for $250. I will be mounting the barreled action into the stock tonight. I really like the way it feels, so hopefully it will still feel really good with everything installed. I really love the accuracy of the B14R. It eats everything just fine.

I just bought a B14 R because your review persuaded me and WOW I am getting great results, the sort of results that helps reveal shooter error. And isn’t that the whole idea, to develop marksmanship with this rifle? At any rate, from my external ballistics calculations it appears I have an MOA wind constant of 10 at 100 yards from CCI Competition ammunition. That was a surprise but now that I know the wind constant I am hoping to see good scores on the MR-31 Target.
Scope questions. Just bought a Vortex Razor LHT 3-15×50 g4i retical. I'm putting it on a Fierce carbon rival 7 mag. Your thoughts on the scope. At 20oz it was the lightest scope I could find that hit all the marks I wanted. By the way keep the 22lr videos coming. Idk why you'd one have a million subscribers plus ➕️

My first choice was a Leica amplus 2.5-15×50, but it's just too damn heavy and the turrets are not exposed. 2nd choice was Zeiss v4 4-16×50, but still a little heavy. Keeping a light weight magnum hunting rifle under 8 pounds is hard.
I really like my new steel barrel B14r in the HMR stock. Wish you would have have shot Norma TAC too, to show what an affordable, easy to find ammo option can do. My B14r shoots the Norma stuff as well as anything out to 50 yards. Of the ammo I've been able to test (Norma TAC, CCI SV, Lapua Pistol match, Lapua Midas +, Eley Match and CCI quiet), it likes the Lapua Pistol match and Midas + the most but at 50 yards it's nearly a toss up with the Norma (Norma admittedly isn't quite as consistent but it's it bad at all at 50 - my tightest group so far has been with the Norma stuff). Mine does OK with Eley Match and CCI SV but nothing amazing. It hates the CCI quiet. Compared to my Tikka T1X it may be a bit more accurate at 50 yards, but not by much and it may be because I actually like shooting the B14r more even tho my T1x is in an Oryx chassis. At 100 yards the Tikka *may* have a slight edge but I'm not ready to say that yet. My Tikka loves SK stuff. Sadly I don't have any left that I can test in the B14r. Good shooting Joe. I've had some Eley Match that shot very well but my 3 rifles, CZ mtr, Tikka T1X, and a Kidd supergrade all shoot just about any and all SK ammo with Standard Plus being the best. Just curious, where do you get those targets with the red bull and the white center?
Hey Joe, Those are some nice groups for sure. However, you can't measure the groups accurately like that. Best way to do it is open the calipers to the bullet diameter then zero them. Then when you measure outside to outside you'll get your center to center measurement.

The action on that Bergara doesn’t seem to cycle well. I have old Remington, Marlin and Ruger in 22 that cycle flawlessly. Is there an issue with the Bergara or just user error?

In another if your videos you say your done with bergara after countless malfunctions and the company knowing of the issue? So in the end where do you stand? I’m considering the 14R or a cz varmint.
@@CyclopsJoeVideos I have both now and my bergara 14R shoots lights out compared to my cz457. My Ruger 77/22 shoots better than my cz as well. So far My Bergara has never had a ftf of fte.

Joe my Cz just saying has a Lothar barrel on it. Accuracy is crazy good. But it loves all ammo. Which is highly unusual for a 22.
Nice shooting! My B14R does best with Center X as well. 100 yds averages .75”, with best group in the .3” range.

I have tried Eley Tenix at AU$43 a pk and Match at $27 a pk and neither are impressive out of my Anschutz 54

I notice that you don't have a level on your scope. If the rifle is canted, it will result in bigger groups.
