You’re back!! Thank goodness, being an archeologist and a fan, I love your videos! Also your creativeness is on another level. Thanks for another great video !
Awesome finding the balls! Glad you're back with the new video. Very clever and enjoyable story, all inspired by finding the balloon , charm, and note, a great find in itself. Was expecting you'd find the knife, but what a clever twist to have it be worn down from years of use by the ancient native who found it next to his campfire! Loved it!
I've seen several artifact collections, but have rarely ever seen anything like those gaming balls among them, and you found SEVEN of them in one spot. Those have got to be some of the most coveted artifacts you've ever uncovered!
Interesting, according to Wayne May and the Smithsonian Survey of the mound builders, these were weapons of war, not game balls. The ancient record of these people on metal plates was found burried up there in a cave under a mound, and it speaks of the people in massive wars with bows/ arrows, spears and stones with slings. The arrow heads and stones your finding could be relics of these ancient wars on the banks of the rivers where hundreds of thousands were slain. They put the bodies into the rivers to be carried downstream.
Awesome cache of game balls. I would love to see a closeup-cleanup video of the lot. You have some great, entertaining, and original content. I'm glad I found your channel.
Love how you impart your knowledge and enthusiasm! Your humor has drawn another subscriber! Looking forward to viewing more and learning more! I am in my late 50’s and have yet to find an arrowhead or game pieces, but I am gonna start looking!
5 minutes in, and I already feel compelled to comment. The game balls are awesome, and not just because they are unusual artifacts. They provide a unique insight into just how human our ancient ancestors are. So often our impressions of them are influenced by how "rough" they must have had it, living under constant fear of an enemy attack, or huddled around the fire as hungry wolves howl in the night. Worrying each day if their family will go hungry if they find no game to hunt, wild foods to forage, or whether the crops they planted will succeed. But not here, these artifacts show that these people were comfortable enough to dedicate time to a pursuit like making the game balls, and of having enough leisure time to use them while they lived, laughed, and loved. Such an intimate peek into a moment in time. And THAT, I feel, is the real treasure that you uncovered. Long time subscriber thoroughly enjoying your adventures.
Exactly David ! I’m sure they were no different, minus the luxuries we have. Life was a lot more than just surviving, and this kinda proves that like u say.👍
Those round stones look all the world like Clarecastle cannonballs. The Spanish and Portuguese used hand ground stone shot for the swivel gun located on the deck of their early sailing ships. Very similar to grape shot but made of stone. A lab can perform a test to determine the origin of the stone. The granite ones I've seen were traced to the Azores. Just a thought.
I thoroughly enjoyed this video. I have to chime in with others, your enthusiasm is over the top. And I enjoyed that segment going back in time. Very creatively done and I look forward to more of your videos Scott.
Thanks Jim! I have a new one coming out soon, hopefully next few days. I don’t time travel but this will be very interesting. It may have been done but I’ve never seen it done on here before.
We find them here in South Africa as well. Speculation is that they are throwing stones that gets larger as the person using them, becomes older. You can disable quite large animals/ birds with these and can become very accurate as the weight remains same and flight path becomes “automatic”. Age of our stone tools is much older 600000 - more than a million years ago……also massive and more primitive when compared to your sizes.
All of us true believers go back 1,000s of years every time we look at a rock. Most think we're crazy, but we know we're not. I'ts the magical gift of time travel in the stones. Look at them, touch them, let the magic flow, and before you know it you'll be carried away. Beam me back, Rocky. ⌛
Great finds, and a nice little "B" movie tacked on at the end! What a great cache of artifacts . . . You know, those could be game balls, but they could also be "gunstones" - stone cannonballs used by the earliest European arrivals. I hope you get them checked out!
Hi guy, Those round stones you are finding are Marbles. Southern tribes played all the time and still play them today. Those nutting stones you have been finding arent for craking nuts they where for making Marbles. Just the look on your face when you got up off your living room floor and said "I'm just getting a drink of water. I'm heading back down to the river" made us howl. We know filming and editing take a lot of time and effort and you put that effort in! We appreciate that effort! Hey, great channel! So pretty sure I recognize those. We find them in Bison kill camp sites in tx gulf coast. They would roll the clay balls and then cook on them like a pan in the coals.

I am so glad I found your channel! I found two of these balls a couple of years ago and they are really big and heavy! I didn't know what they were?
Much Appreciated. They are a mystery, what they were for. I say a game
New subscriber here...You tickle the s....t out of me. I feel your excitement Iam the same way, but I don't believe I've ever seen anyone pull out the stuff you do. Each one is like a Christmas present. If I found just one of them balls I would be sitting there hair standing straight up on my head like lightning struck me..I would be in such shock. Great job .you are awesome
Thank You Teresa! It definitely gets your blood pumping. Sometimes it takes a few seconds to sink in, when ya find something nice. Like, no way! This can’t be real.
Dude your funny as crap I'm literally laughing like crazy made my day 🤣😂🤣 congratulations on the game balls thought we were gonna get to see them playing the game
Hahaha! Thanks Brian 👍 Very Much Appreciated!
That’s best dam video I’ve seen on you tube in 4 years
Thanks Tom! I wish youtube thought the same. 👍
You cane up on my feed so I've been watching. This was so fun. What are those balls? I think projectiles. One of those hit you in the head it would hurt!
Ot for sure, but that has been suggested also.👍
😂😂😂😂I love that video brother!! And the game peices are awesome I’d love to find one of them
Much Appreciated
😂Awesome video! Congratulations on the Game ball cache! And Iam happy you got you knife back! Even though a bit altered. Oh yah how about that nice point you took? Lol
It’s a dandy! 👍 Thank you Norma, always a kind word
Hey, great channel! So pretty sure I recognize those. We find them in Bison kill camp sites in tx gulf coast. They would roll the clay balls and then cook on them like a pan in the coals.
These were stone. Mostly sandstone but one was granite. 👍
This is a good idea. Perhaps they were cooking stones. Heat them up and drop in a pot to boil the liquid.
I was so convinced you'd use your third wish to go back in time and grab your knife... only to get stuck there because you'd used your last wish, lol. Great video!
❤️ One trip back was enough work! lol
But then again, may have been easier than grinding that knife down.
You're making me jealous with that hat! That is my if I won the lottery dream trip!
I bought it in Paris 2008. We were there two weeks before the race. Would love to see it also
That was quite a great find!! This video was so funny!!
Much Appreciated Pam👍

Very Much Appreciated 👍
Great adventure. Thanks for sharing
Thanks So Much👍
I've been told that is a "medicine ball" I had one the was white quarts .very nice!
Do you how Medicine Balls were used? Any ideas would be helpful.
My family has worked with the native people in Oklahoma and I was told the one I had was used by a medicine man for healing... he gave it to my great grandfather for healing his sight .my grandfather was a Doctor and invented a cure for a genetic eye disorder the people suffered with.
On the one that is almost split, I would stabilize the cracks with several applications of thin cyanoacrylate (super glue), followed by a couple final applications of gel type as well to fill the gaps somewhat. Just a thought.
Thanks David 👍
Those are awesome great finds 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thanks 👍
I love your videos , I live on the Ohio River in ambridge pa . Lot of natives have been in the area, I’ve found numerous points on the hills in the area.
I’m about to try scouting the banks of local river . I’ll let ya know what happens
Nice! Good luck out there Harry, kinda a nice one!
Always look forward to your vids Clegg. It's been awhile. Cannon fodder seems more likely than game balls. I guess it's possible they kept the game equipment in one location and you happened upon it. Thanks for the video don't make us wait so long for the next one 😃
Thanks Much! Always working on the next one 👍
@@cleggsadventures I thought the same thing because they use to make cannonballs from stone.
