Maybe next time try the Kalnianiole route - great scenic drive. Just go on the H1 East on Kapiolani Blvd if coming from Waikiki. H1 East will end and become Kalanianiole Hwy. Peace!
Did you start on the East Side, then go through the center? I am at 2:45 and it seems like that could be the middle of the island, coming from the East, but maybe I am understanding it wrong, I guess at the end I may know more!
